Belltown is souless. It reminds me of Midtown, Murray Hill or Hoboken: where basic bitches live and graze with each other because that’s what a BB does. Yeah, yeah, I heard it wasn’t always like this Felecia, but I’m talking about what I see now, in 2016. I like this little corner joint for a few reasons. The windows and lighting is awesome. The pillows ease the butt hurt on the all wooden benches. Lastly, the interior makes me feel like I’m somewhere in Asia, but not. Oh, the coffee and cookies are good. It’s Seattle, so even coffee at a gas station is pretty good around here. The pastries are all good enough that you would consider getting another one because the price is decent and you’re a fat ass. The kewl kids manning the counter are nice and don’t care that you sit there for three hours surfing for animal porn. Music is just loud enough that you can tune it out and the Wifi is good. Bathrooms are clean and dropping a deuce here is an option because of that. It’s never really crowded. What more do you really need?

I stopped in here with my dog to grab lunch and everything was great! They are pet friendly and have a killer chicken salad sandwich. I’ll be back.

The service was quick and friendly, and their menu items, although limited, were good looking and well priced. I had a bowl of ginger tomato soup and it was delicious. My drink looked fancy but wasn’t very robust. I’ll be back though, whether its just for a quick snack or a place to talk with friends. I’d recommend it if you’d like to try something new!

The atmosphere is quiet and a nice place to come by alone or with a friend to study, do work. The coffee cake is great as well their mango smoothie. The pricing isn’t too bad either.

Nice little coffee shop, Good WiFi, and a pleasant place in Belltown to hang out in. The service was friendly and my Hot Apple Cider was good. The place it attractively decorated. I liked it and I will come back if I find myself with time to kill in the area again.

I love their breakfast sandwiches. I hate walking up clay to 1st. It’s a constant battle — my fatness vs my laziness. HOWAM I SUPPOSEDTOCHOOSE?! Well… fatness usually wins. And then I just hope and pray that there’s someone ordering a coffee in front of me(but not the last croissant cuz those things are omg so gooood) so that I don’t sound like a freak when I’m ordering my food. Think«I…*heavy gasping*…would like…*desperate wheezing*…a bacon egg and cheese…*mutters omg I hate that hill*…on a croissant please» and if there’s no croissant, insert some whining and then insist on a bagel. Minus one star cuz the workers never seem to be in a rush, but it let’s me catch my breath before I roll my rotund self back down the hill to my condo. Also, I love their mochas. Fatty mcfatfat wins again!

First time visiting this location for lunch and I was pretty happy to see several good sandwiches choices for vegetarians. I had the house-made veggie burger, about $ 9, fresh and pretty tasty. It comes with veggies and cheddar, but I opted for mozzarella and am glad I did, melted nicely into the patty. The place is darling, service is sassy and energetic and the lunch crowd seemed pretty into the menu. I didn’t have the coffee but I would certainly return, nice vibe in this location.

Stopped by for a latte and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere– all the pastries and treats looked really good too. I sat and worked for a while and while there was music and folks coming/going it was easy to work and enjoy my coffee

Whatever coffee shop I go to, I always order an iced coffee with white chocolate and room for cream. With that said, I think the coffee here is mehh. I’ve given it a couple try’s now, and I just am not a fan of their iced coffee, I think it tastes like ass… Plus the last time I was there the barista said she could not do iced white chocolate because it’s a powder and not syrup… Which is ridiculous because with a little common barista sense, you should know to use a little bit of hot drip coffee to mix and dissolve the powder, then pour it into the iced coffee… But to be fair I have not had their espresso or any other drinks, that could very well so be delish;) But on another note– The food here though is phenomenal! I love the lox bagel and the breakfast pita, suuuper yummy! And the ambiance is nice and great for posting up to do some work.

Really great coffee place. The baristas really listen when you try to custom order your drink. I have recently«escalated» to quad Americanos and shot in the darks, and this place has consistently delivered good coffee. Way better than starshmucks. Their falafel sandwich is really a star menu item.

I find myself stopping by here at least several times a week during the course of my workday. I love the fact that there are always open parking spots on the street here(unlike the Cherry Street Coffee House that is also on 1st but closer to downtown). As far as the coffee goes, I pretty much always order the same thing… americano…and it is great here, much stronger than the big green chain coffee place, and much better. I also happen to think that they have excellent baked goods. Usually cookies wrapped in saran wrap are a red flag for me, but not here… they are very good… particularly the white chocolate chip with cranberries and the peanut butter cookie. Their raspberry bars are also delicious and quite a treat. I didn’t care so much for their lemon bars, which were more like lemon cheesecake bars(I prefer the lemon curd type). But in general, this is definitely a good place to break your diet with a nice baked good to go with your coffee. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that I feel that their lunch items are excessively pricey… but that just might be the norm in Belltown… but I still don’t want to pay that much for a sandwich. Also, the service is great and very friendly! Love this place.

I’ve only been in Seattle for a week and I keep finding these little gems. After breakfast at CJ’s I thought hmm I think I want a mochachino from that BIG company with the funky lady as the logo until I walked into this little place(cool middle eastern décor) I got a blended mocha drink(they have their own name for it) and I looked on the counter and guess what I saw. Come on, wait for it… Ok, CHOCOLATECHIPBANANABREAD! Ya not big deal for some but this is a better combo than peanut butter and chocolate for me. OUTSTANDING! You get a 6th star for that. Thanx, Paul.

Awesome service and if you’re a regular, they all know your name. They do a great breakfast pita or bagel, solid coffee, and usually have a good soup too. Really good veggie burger too, it’s not like a dense rubbery boca burger.

Three possibilities: –I’m on vacation in Seattle so everything tastes better –My coffee palate is becoming more discerning –Cherry Street is *just that good* The iced coffee is liquid magic. I’ve never tasted iced coffee with such a perfect natural caramel tone. I added just a little cream and the result is literally the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. I am not exaggerating. If you are as a big an iced coffee fan as I am, you can’t miss this place. :)

Specialty sandwiches that i can see a vegan drooling over. However my taste buds don’t follow that diets curve. So the exotic taste falls short for me. The hum drum and«over-this-guy» enthusiasm of the employee as I stumbled through the menu didn’t help either. I won’t go back.

Very convenient location and friendly staff, HOWEVER, I’ve had too many substandard experiences here. — Coffee. I watched the barista pull the espresso shots for my Americano then turn around to work on another drink. After 5 seconds the shots were completely black and bitter, yet 30 seconds after that is when she poured them into my drink. Yuck. Pulling good espresso shots is the most important part of learning to make coffee. — Sandwiches. I ordered a Feta Basil sandwich. The gentlemen began making it then turned to tell me, «Hey we are out of basil but I can sub in some sprouts for free!» I’m sorry, but nothing can really substitute the basil in my Feta Basil sandwich. — Breakfast pita wraps. I ordered the Tomato/Basil/Egg/Cheese wrap WITHOUT the cheese. I received the wrap with cheese in it and when I kindly pointed it out, they were hesitant on finding a solution. They stumbled on their words and didn’t offer to remake it. At least apologize. — Bagels. They have the best spreads for your bagels, but get there early because they run out of the good stuff fast. — Soups. They have delicious soups! The only downside is they are over $ 6 for about 8 ounces. — Seating area. Pillows on benches, a cool idea but not comfortable. Free Wi-Fi and a good amount of outlets. This place has it’s ups and downs, but two blocks down is a cozy shop called Drip City, check it out: punch cards, beer, happy hour, Wi-Fi, great coffee, TV, couches, piano, dog friendly, etc.

Maaannnn, $ 6.85 for an ice blended coffee… for real? I’m a fan a smaller coffee chains, but damn this is excessive. Hell, maybe I ordered the wrong thing… but jeez that is pricey.

The sandwiches and coffee taste great here, it’s never packed, and they play music like Destiny’s Child, Outkast, and 2000’s Justin Timberlake! The girls who take the orders are really nice and pleasant, but the food comes out slowly. I waited 10+ minutes for two sandwiches(one was a cold sandwich) which seems a bit excessive, right? Especially because they weren’t making anything else.

I stopped into the Cherry Street as I was walking, unbeknownst to me, in the wrong direction. I was tired, cold, and in need of some coffee to warm me up and give me some energy. We walked in and were welcomed and ordered quickly. The place is really cute, with a middle eastern feeling. Like you just entered a warm and inviting Turkish Coffee house, sans the pillows on the floor. The coffee was good and the service was friendly. In fact, as my cutie and I were discussing directions to our destination(see glassblowing class) and having a android/apple map/direction conversation, one of the nice guys who work here stopped and helped us out, he also worked at the Glassblowing studio and gave us some good intel on how to get the best from our class… I hate to say that my apple iPhone sent us waaay out of the way… but, that is a different issue. We were redirected and sent off in the correct direction, warm and ready to carry on.

Starbucks is everywhere but in Seattle it could actually be considered your local coffee shop. As tempting as it was to visit the original Starbucks(I did walk past it), I wanted local that was foreign to me and found Cherry Street Coffee House. It was small, quiet, comfy(the bench seating could have been comfier but it had pillows) and staffed with friendly people. The girl taking the orders made sure to ask every customer what they were going to do for the day(where do they do that?). It is truly a terrific spot for a first date, to enjoy a book or simply to get that caffeine fix. Speaking of caffeine their coffee is off the chain! I ordered a Latte and without any sugar or additives, it was rich and full bodied. My boyfriend had a Bacon, Egg and Cheese. Crispy bacon, egg and melty cheese on fresh toasted bagel, yum! I had the Lox and Cream Cheese Bagel and was blown away. It is my favorite breakfast sandwich but I haven’t had one in a while and was very impressive by the house cured lox. Get it with an everything bagel like did. We also ordered a Coffee Cake that was fresh, fabulous and not too sweet. I wish I lived in Seattle so I could go to this coffee shop everyday!
