Great coffee and customer service. Ask for Matt, he’s the homie! Also, awesome cause they’re doing there.

Street Bean is by far the best coffee you can get in Seattle. I used to live down the road so I’ve probably had 200+ cups of coffee from here. Now that I live an hour away, I still have their coffee beans shipped to me and stop by for a latte whenever I can. It’s pricey for a bag of coffee but you’re supporting an hour of paid job training for someone coming out of homelessness with every bag. In full disclosure, I’ve also had a bad experience here once where the milk was curdled and created, essentially, a glob of cheese at the bottom of the drink. When I told them this the next day they didn’t replace the drink but did acknowledge that the milk had soured. All that aside, they’re a great place making a difference in the community and the coffee tastes amazing.

Great local coffee shop, but should ask if is to drink at shop or to go. I drank it shop in a paper cup when they should of had served it a ceramic cup.

The FIRST place we went to for coffee on our honeymoon. :) It was a brisk walk away from our hotel. Loved the atmosphere and loved the service. Yummy coffee too! Keep up the great work!

Great coffee! Friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Visiting from out of town and stopped here because of their rating… Don’t pass this place up if you are visiting.

[Out-of-Towner Review] Coffee can be dessert too… After our trip to the Space Needled, we decided to wander and meander back to our hotel. We didn’t have any plans, so I sought out a soy mocha. Which brought us to Street Bean. My drink was small, but was essentially a dessert in a cup. My mocha was on point! I can’t walk into one of these local coffee shops and not know that I will be paying a premium for any beverage, coffee or fancy style. So, I guess the price gouging goes without saying — because of all the blah, blah, blah hype of specialty coffee shops these days! I wanted to relax for a minute, so we found a quaint little table by the window. Street Bean Coffee isn’t big by any means, but it’s a nice little coffee nook in a more downtown-ish area. Typical, people working and studying, so it was a very quiet vibe. Mocha’s are meant to savor…

Exceptional coffee. Tried their latte and the pour overs. Both were phenomenal and well crafted. They never rush their work. A guy named Matt was great to talk to. My wife and I love his heart and what this whole establishment is trying to do by reaching out to the community as a non-profit while making excellent coffee. This is how business should be… do what you love but with heart enough to share with others! I firmly believe in this type of working model for business, it’s not just about profit. I highly recommend this place and it’s wonderful to know I’m supporting a worthy cause right in our own backyard! I hope this establishment inspires many other coffee upstarts to follow its model.

I never thought I would be picky about my coffee, but Street Bean are the only beans I buy now. Not only is it great coffee, it has an incredible mission and commitment to doing good. Plus the people are awesome!

Can no one make a decent cappuccino anymore? I stopped here based in Unilocal reviews and feel really let down because my drink tastes horrible. It is a nice place that seems to take its product seriously but my drink is completely lacking in rich espresso flavor and is basically a bad latte. I’m also tired of the square payment system preset to have a what amounts to a 30 percent tip as the smallest option, without feeling like a cheapskate and doing a custom smaller tip. Wanted to like this place but will continue my search for a good cappuccino.

If you’re going to drink great coffee, you might as well support a great cause at the same time. Top tier quality brews with an impressive mission to provide job training to homeless youth. Love this place, especially for the custom pourovers!

Non-Profit AND Great tasting coffee! Street Bean provides competitive coffee beans and drinks while helping youth and young adults. The baristas are friendly and excited to make you a great coffee, tea, or espresso. The prices and atmosphere make this place a favorite of the Belltown neighborhood. Some non-profit cafés make you feel as though you’re donating to the cause with bad coffee, poor service, and messy atmosphere. Not Street Bean, it’s a top notch coffee shop making a difference in the community.

Such a lovely coffee shop, and friendly staff! We really enjoy having a leisure cup of coffee with music. Do not miss Street Bean when you visit the Space Needle:)

The hipster coffee shop was my favorite during my short trip up to the Northwest. I visited 2 times and still received great service. I like small cafes like this one because the people seem friendly and very informative about the surrounding area. The coffees are very good and their baked treats looked amazing. I had ordered the Hazelnut latte both times and Wifey had the Mocha. I was happy they opened at 6am on the weekday and I apparently got in before the morning Rush. The Barista mentioned they are putting one on or near University of W’s campus. Wish they had one a lot closer to NorCal. We will definitely go again next time we’re in the Northwest.

My coffee shop! Would you like a good cup of coffee from a friendly crew of baristas? Yes? How about adding supporting a good cause on top of that? Even better, you say? I agree. Don’t go if you want a cup of whipped cream where someone glanced at an bag of coffee beans, that’s not really what they do — but if you want a fine cup of coffee, look no further.

I recently found Street Bean. It’s the perfect place to write, and the mission behind the place is fantastic. Always fantastic service and perfect atmosphere. I was all upset with myself for forgetting my headphones today, but they’re playing the exact music I’d be listening to anyway. Love this place! Only bummer is the short weekend hours.

Such a charming and cute coffee shop! I love the minimalist, warm décor, the abundance of natural light, and the music(fun and interesting, but not too distracting). The staff were welcoming as well. I thought the drinks seemed to be more on the expensive side, but not too out of the ordinary. This is a great place for catching up with friends, reading, or studying! Street Bean is fairly small(there are probably around 25 seats), so it might get crowded at peak times. When I went on a weekday afternoon, it was totally fine. Also, know that the food selection is not huge — there were only pastries and Umpqua oatmeal during my visit. Overall, I like this place a lot and will definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem. Great coffee, nice baristas, and well done latte art. They have biscuits on Sundays that are pretty great, all the time they have donuts which are top notch. Enjoy!

Great coffee shop located near the Space Needle. The vanilla latte and iced coffee we ordered both went down very smooth. We didn’t even put milk or sugar in the iced coffee. That’s when you know you’re having a great cup of coffee! Note: They do close early on the weekends. Make sure to check the time if you would like to make a stop while touring the Space Needle area. It was definitely worth the stop for an afternoon coffee break.

My favorite coffee shop in the city of Seattle. Specialty coffee done right. Basic(classic) menu expertly done, with creative seasonal offerings occasionally springing up. Street Bean also roasts in house: their roasts are light and complex. The customer service is always on point; friendly and helpful baristas are actually interested in getting to know you. Street Bean not only employs young adults trying to exit homelessness, but challenges them to serve really excellent coffee. A mission-driven coffee shop that produces a quality product is sometimes hard to find. Look no further, Street Bean is it. What are you waiting for?!

I measure the success of a coffee shop in three ways. First, the establishment has to boast a quality product, which Street Bean accomplishes wonderfully. Espresso drinks are balanced well and the drip coffee alone is worth the trip. Secondly, the responsiveness(service, professionalism, courtesy) of the staff is key. Again, SB staff engage well and don’t seem aloof. Third, the atmosphere of the shop has to be inviting(by that I mean temperature, noise level, even electrical outlets) and though it is on the smaller side, I have never felt uncomfortable. Lastly, their mission is to help local youth get on their feet with a job program. Encouraged to see businesses with a mind to help the city!

We happened to find this awesome coffee spot the organic way… without the help of Unilocal ! We we were walking from our hotel to the space needle and bam… there it was ! We looked thru the window a found a pleasant bright and urban space with some really fantastic coffee inside. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was excellent and not overly sweet. Temperature was perfect as well as the foam. Service was so kind and genuine. This was one of my favorites this past weekend on my coffee tour of Seattle :)

Ah! Lovely place. Great lattes and filling, tasty pastries to boot. My computer wasn’t picking up their wifi, but that’s ok — I didn’t need to use the internet anyway. Music was great for focusing — I can’t remember the last time I was as productive as I was at Street Bean. Definitely will be returning!

Wow, just wow. I’ve had my fair share of supporting local coffee shops and I stand by supporting them for this very reason. Not only does Street Bean Coffee make an awesome cup of joe, they also have an amazing mission for their shop. They are a non-profit coffee shop that takes in street-involved young adults to help change their lives around. I asked one of the girls and she also mentioned that not only do they provide jobs, they also provide housing. The shop is really cute! Huge window panes that let in a lot of natural light, wood tables, great lighting, comfy chairs, and pretty much everything you would want in a coffee shop. The baristas are friendly as well – if I wasn’t told that a lot of those working were from the streets, I wouldn’t have known. I ordered a vanilla latte with non-fat milk and a ham and cheese croissant. My vanilla latte was delicious; just the right amount of espresso and milk. The latte art was precious – he tried to do a heart. Now, the ham and cheese croissant. I don’t cannot even describe how delicious this croissant was. The ham was rich and flavorful and the cheese was soft and just melts in your mouth. The texture of the croissant was baked to perfection. It was light and flaky. Move over Starbucks, you don’t have anything on Street Bean.

Minimalistic and bitter are the two words that I think of when I think of Street Bean. That goes for the coffee and people there, boom. Its a bit too hipster for my liking which could just be a personal preference(no wait, it IS a personal preference). The staff wasn’t too friendly, even when I told them I hear about Street Bean from a friend. Usually you get some kind of smile, comment or something but I heard muttering and there just didn’t seem to be a lot of personality there. I got my standard latte and it was ok. A little bitter for a latte but otherwise smooth, definitely not my favorite coffee place we visited while visiting Seattle but oh well, you can’t win them all.

I consider Street Been Espresso one of my favorite finds this trip. It’s a non profit manned by staff with a little troubled past. You wouldn’t know it based on the peaceful setting it imparts. Here the staff are given a chance to improve their lives and learn life skills and get off the streets and homelessness. It’s sparse but tastefully decorated. They sell t-.shirts that I wish I got just to support a business that supports the less fortunate. Comfortable couches and a very relaxing atmosphere with free wifi. I heard from company that coffee here is stiff. Oh yeah. If you’re into coffee art they can do it here. #coffeeart#nonprofit#goodkarmahere
