Thank you Capital Club for staying the same, maybe even better than I remembered! Came back to Seattle for the weekend and was heartbroken to see many of my favorite spots turned into frat bars. CC had strong drinks, amazing music(top 40 and heavy ODB), diverse and happy crowd. This is what I remembered about Capital Hill and I was happy to find it again at CC. This will be my to go bar every time I come to Seattle.

Went here for the first time a couple weekends ago. The place is nice and I loved the vibe however the seats aren’t as comfortable as they looked. I thought it would be more like a sofa from seeing the pictures. And their square tables are so tiny… and low. Can get uncomfortable after a while. Drinks were good(they had some real interesting cocktails I want to try next time) and the food is equally good. My only other complaint is how hot it got on the second floor. O my… so there’s a little dance floor upstairs and it got hot and stuffy real fast. 4 stars because I knew the DJ and he did awesome

EDIT: The owner private messaging me and attacking my review has made me lower it to 1 star. Customer service is paramount and when the owner goes out of their way to instead of asking politely why my review was not positive and telling you why you are wrong it completely destroys any slim chance of a positive customer experience. PAYATTENTION, all the good reviews of this place are well in the past. Unilocal should really force a new business to open up when ownership changes. They no longer have flamenco at the Cap Club(the owner messaged me informing me why they no longer do). Overall I would still say their food is very mediocre and a bit pricey. I used to come because I loved the music and put up with the rest but unfortunately I have no further reason to go.

Love their Haapy Hour! It goes pretty late, there is a wide variety & the food is pretty tasty too. I’ve enjoyed all my experiences here.

Went here for happy hour and the prices didn’t seem that cheap. Got the sangria and it tasted like pineapple juice not fruity wine, yuck. So they were nice enough to bring me a wine instead which was ok. When I asked what wine they had for happy hour they said a Cabernet and a Chardonnay(or something like that) not what wine it was. Needless to say not the best wine of course but a lot better than the sangria! My husband’s beer was fine they didn’t screw that part up. But it was a Mannys, they didn’t have Mac and Jack. Didn’t eat here but their HH food menu is all $ 6. A little pricy for what was offered. They do have a nice outdoor patio to sit at.

Went out with coworkers for a few drinks. Enjoyed my double margarita, which was not revoltingly sweet(hurray!). The bartender made me some drink that was delicious — wish I could remember the name(it had agave which he replaced with honey, and some sort of bitter liquor) but you know how it goes. I think it was«The somebody-or-other’s Way» — well, when I go back I’ll figure it out. Update: I have now eaten and loved their food. Delicious falafel(and I know what I’m talking about). Pro tip: although not listed on the menu, it comes with a very tasty salad, so no need to order a side salad. Wonderful happy hour($ 6 food and $ 5 sangria!). And speaking of their sangria, YUM! I’d love one right now, in fact.

We were craving hot wings and good drinks and ended up at Capitol Club which did not disappoint at all. + Mussels in a SPICY broth + HOT wings + Truffle french fries Great service, chill atmosphere, good food. I heard they are also the venue for Magic tournaments hosted by a nearby game store.

Busier than it looks on the outside. Sunday night is a hoppin place to grab some happy hour here(which is all day btw). The downstairs is much the cooler part if your coming with a large crew in tow. Off to the right side right when entering is a fabulous private room decked out in ambiant candles, mirrors, overhead music, and plush seating on the side. By all means, grab that room! Upstairs is more lively with the bar and a spacious area with wall seating and back lit candles along the wall. The happy food is surprisingly delicious! well, with mussels in a tangy broth with crispy bread and plenty of pita you can’t do much wrong here. No amazing stand outs but not bad. Be forewarned: service is super slow and limited. For the whole upstairs and down there was only one waitress working the entire place. So it may take awhile to get that check or drink.
