Auto Shine Detail

Took in my mom’s car before she sold it. While we always thought it to be fairly clean, it was showroom shiny when we left. Auto Shine cleaned every nook. Completely increased mom’s sale value! Thank you for a wonderful job at a fair price.

Overall, they did a great job detailing my car, which I was preparing to sell. But their overall customer relations is a bit sloppy. They’d originally quoted $ 160 over the phone, and we scheduled a time to have me bring in my car. When I showed up there was nobody there except for the guys working in the back. In the main entry/​office, they have several signs saying customers aren’t allowed to go back into the garage where the guys are working. A couple of the guys back there saw me waiting and didn’t say hi or offer to help me. After waiting 10 minutes or so, I walked back there and asked if someone was available to help me. The guys said the office person would be back soon, and she could help me when she came back. After waiting a few more minutes I decided to just fill out the paperwork and leave my keys. No big deal, except kind of an annoyance given that we specifically scheduled that time for me to come in to drop the car off.
The next day I got a call saying it’d cost an extra $ 50 to detail it, because I guess it was dirtier than average. Fine, it was pretty dirty so whatever. No big deal.
After a couple more days I picked up a message on my phone at 4:30 pm that said that the car was ready and I’d need to pick it up either by 5. What I didn’t expect, and what he didn’t say in the message is that he would charge an extra $ 50 per night that I left the car there. In other words, you have 30 minutes to pick up your car or we’ll charge an extra $ 50. I wasn’t able to get there in time… so I came the next business day to get it instead.
So when I saw the additional $ 50 on the bill, I explained the situation… that to give such short notice that I have to pick up my car or get charged another $ 50 isn’t really fair to the customer. He blamed me, saying that I should have known my car was going to be ready then, and I should have been available to pick up the car. Ultimately, it was a bad deal for me and I think they need to work on their customer relations/​communication. So, ultimately, for an initial quote of $ 160 I ended up having to pay $ 300 when all was said and done. Not cool!
Overall, they did a good job in the detailing. The car looks awesome. Yet with the sloppiness of customer interaction and the additional charges to add an extra 90% to the initial quote just came across as a wee bit slimey.

Auto Shine Detail did an outstanding job with detailing the interior of my car removing months of pet dander and debris on the floor boards. The dash and leather parts of the car looked in new condition like it had a makeover! I was one happy woman when I saw the beautiful job on the outside. The attention to detail was impeccable so much that my brother thought I got new rims, which I explained no they were cleaned! Thoroughly impressed and definitely recommended.

Left message for info several days ago but call back never came until today. Woman who called back insisted that she just had received my call 3 minutes ago and was rather indignant when confronted about lack of timely response. Too bad, guess they don’t need business.
Later owner called & apologized saying he would like to make things right. He had needed to have a non-​employee cover for him while he had a medical issue & that he had just changed phone providers which is why there was a problem in receiving my message.
Appointment was made & car is perfect! So glad he tracked down the problem and worked to make our car beautiful again. I consider this excellent service!

I am so happy that Pat and his team were able to take my car in quickly. Something happened in my car, and it was soaking wet. I have no idea where all the liquid came from, but it was clear that my attempts at triage were not successfully stopping the mildew. I needed to get this car taken care of before something started growing in it.
Pat asked if he could keep my car for couple of days, I was glad to let him have it. The team did a great job! They cleaned inside and out, shampooed, and ionized the heck out of my car. I had no idea my 10 year old car could look this good, but the miracle with the smell. No mildew. The car smells new! I won’t be neglecting this car for another 10 years, because I’ll be bringing it back to Pat.

I would recommend this company to anyone. They exceeded my expectations completely. After reading reviews on a few other local detail shops I was worried to bring my car into any detailer. I was sent to Auto Shine Detail from a local Volvo dealer. They had amazing customer service, did a phenomenal job and maintained the price they quoted at the beginning. I brought 2 of my cars in after having such a fantastic experience. Well worth the money!

Really great service and attention from start to finish. After my son was violently sick on a road trip home from Vancouver, after a few weeks and several personal cleanings, I brought my car on for a detail. Everything was super clean and even though the smell seemed fine, they said that they could do an ionizer but I should wait and see if I still needed it after a few weeks. Nice. No hard sell. Well, after three weeks I could still smell it albeit faintly and brought it in for an ionization. They even re-​shaped the floor! Great all around… I’ll be back.

The stomach flu came to our house this week, or, rather, it came to our car. Yaaay.
I did what I could, but after an hour it became clear to me it was time to bring in the big guns, and Auto Shine was recommended to me. They came and got my car the next day, worked their magic on the interior, and brought it back the same day. It was thoroughly de-flu’ed and smelled like new, via an ionizing machine that breaks down smells. Thank goodness! Haz-​mat Nightmare on Wheels is back to my lovely little car.

I’ve taken a couple cars here over the years and they have always done a meticulous job. The cars looked really great and it seems the price was fair.
I had some chrome (or chrome looking) trim that they did not touch. He did tell me up front they may not be able to do anything about it, but it seems like something could have been done. It may have been salt water staining, since we don’t live too awfully far from the Sound.

We took both cars in last year and they did such a fabulous job that we’re taking them back in again this year. The cars were sparkly, shiny clean inside and out. They work very hard and for a reasonable cost. Yes, the rugs and upholstery are damp for a couple of days afterward, but that was expected. — best to get it done when it’s relatively sunny. All in all, highly recommend this place.

Please note that this is the first time I’ve ever had my car detailed, so I don’t know have anything to compare it with.
I have a dog. Sometimes the dog is muddy, or sandy, or both. I also have a bad habit of knocking over coffee cups in the car. Between the two, my pretty blue car was getting really, really stinky.
I called Auto Shine on a Thursday. They came and picked my car up the next day (no extra charge), deep-​cleaned everything, then picked me up so I could retrieve my car and pay a very reasonable $ 109 for the service.
The car is very, very clean. The upholstery on the seat that took the brunt of the coffee-​spilling is not exactly like brand new, but if you didn’t know to look you would not see any gross stains. The nooks and crannies don’t have crud in them. Etc.
My only complaint is that the car reeks of cleaning/​buffing chemicals, and we’re not talking the pleasing aroma of Pine Sol. It’s been a week, and the stink is fading, but I still go «ew, this is probably toxic» whenever I get into the car.
Before I go back, I’ll definitely be asking whether one part of the process is responsible for the strong smell. I’m hoping it’s the dashboard polish, because that’s totally skip-​able.
