After years of never using the Board Room, I decided to take the plunge. At first I was not impressed … But after traveling around the world to different airports and being able to compare it to the others around, I find this to be on par with the others. However, if Alaska is truly trying to set itself apart from Delta and the others, it should invest in new facilities(bigger board room in N terminal, better food options, more espresso machines, more entertainment options, etc.

This is a great place to hang out and avoid the(appropriately named) terminal. It has two levels with comfortable seating and a great view of the runway. The food is decent, and the bar is almost always staffed. If you have a choice between this and their lounge by the N gates, choose this. BTW — some of the reviews for this lounge are really for the other lounge. The reviewers got them mixed up.

This is the AA Board Room for the southern part of the airport. After gaining access to the north satellite, I was informed that my connector flight was closer to their southern lounge, so I ventured over here. This lounge is larger than it’s norther counterpart. There is enough seating to sit several dozen people, and the seats are conveniently set up to offer everything needed for laptop use. Like the northern BR, this one also offers premium coffee, an assortment of beverages, and healthy snacks. The bar and food options are mostly on the second floor of the lounge. The quieter side with the espresso machine and fruit snacks is on the first floor. These airport lounges are honestly a good investment. They are quiet, comfortable, and a perfect way to wait out your layover. For $ 45 per day access, it can’t be beat. You can also gain access if you fly 1st class, or if you have American Express Platinum.

Sea-Tac Alaska Airlines Board Room is A OK. Small with limited everything but comfortable and quiet. Limited everything; small food selection including pancake machine, toaster, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Small bar with the standard freebie selection(champagne was corked) and single(Family) bathroom. Ultimately better than sitting at gate waiting for your connection but probably not worth any additional charge to access. Cheers!

Ahhh, nice to get away from the gate lice and get some work done. Always decent food options, although not too gourmet. If you are looking for a global airline type lounge, this is not it, but the smiles from the staff make you feel real welcome.

I dropped in w/my Admirals Club membership for about 45 min. The bar is upstairs, and can get quite loud. I was feeling really lazy and tired, so I didn’t feel like lugging my stuff up there(yes, there were elevators). It was actually a smaller lounge than I expected, with all the window desks taken, along with most of the couches on the first level. Staff were friendly, but the bathrooms were small and just meh. There wasn’t much food nor snacks available at the time I went(around 3pm), but there’s a few airport restaurants a short walk away. The starbucks-serving latte machine with flavored syrups was a nice offering.

Visited the board room recently at SeaTac. Judging from past review, was not expecting much which is probably a good thing. The only reason I rated it two stars is because of the staff. Only food available during my stay is soup, cracker, a few apples and banana, no salad bar. According to another post a day pass is $ 45 it’s not worth it but I suppose that’s better than sitting in the waiting area and free wifi.

I don’t know where all this great food is that I see in the pictures from other Unilocalers. But currently all they have going on is soup, ranch dressing with veggies, and crackers. Yes they have free alcohol and soda but it would be nice to have some more snack options then what I find in my own cupboards at home especially since I pay for this membership. Is it better than sitting in the main airport area? Not much… super crowded and hard to find seat. We are here on a Thursday at 4:45 pm. Will we come back? I’ll go to the american express lounge next time… maybe they serve cheese with their crackers.

I’m a newbie to airline club lounges and this one was my inaugural lounge visit! My access was granted per a family member who has guest privileges. We had about 2 hours to hang, so plenty of time to enjoy the food & bevvies here. The best thing in the lounge was the self-serve Starbucks espresso machine, complete with syrup and all the fixins. Complimentary beverages abound, and I tried the red wine which was OK. A sign limits patrons to 3 drinks. Premium liquors/drinks are $ 7. The food choices were salad, soup, bagels, bread and pastries. The salad was good, soup was just OK. The 2 level club has plenty of windows and seating.

The Alaska Lounge at SEATAC is one of the best domestic lounges around. They have a wide selection of food items, crackers and munchies. They even had a small salad bar and hot soup. There is a well stocked bar too. The seating is good because it give you some feeling of privacy versus having couches. I like that it has a lot of outlets scattered throughout for all your electronics. The only downside is that the bathroom is minimal. I wished they had a bench to put your bag down to change your clothes. Because the bathroom does not lock(not a single person use), you have to go into a stall to change completely if you wanted to. Overall though, a most excellent lounge in Seattle!

they are better than average and when i say average i mean typical admirals club. they have self serve beverages which i prefer vs waiting for bar or attendant all the time(non alcoholic) i have to agree with others its a tad cramped since its small. pancake machine is great. i want one for my home. tastes pretty good actually lots of snacks and light fare. admirals clubs in my mind has what i call merely snacks

Good stop if you have access and time. Not a super big lounge and like most other lounges if you want a real drink it is going to cost you. The staff are friendly.

This is a weird set up. On one hand, you have great floor to ceiling windows and can watch all the operations go on at the airport. On the other hand, the space is oddly open with little privacy, and there really are not many seats. I saw a lot of people milling about trying to find somewhere to sit. Every table was dirty when I got in, then suddenly everything was cleaned up. The ‘free bar’ is a bit of a scam. The ‘free’ drinks are all discount brand, and the usual brands are $ 7 a drink. However, there are some nice beers on tap in the ‘free’ section. Downstairs seemed to be less busy, but there was no bar. I noticed a lot of people brought their drinks down. Great deal if you can get in for free, but the $ 45 day pass is a bit steep compared to what you get with other carriers.

For a domestic carrier lounge in the U.S., the Alaska Board Room stands out slightly above average. But when you compare it against international premium lounges, you might as well just sit at the gate. Starting with the positive, the food and drink selection(at least for breakfast) stands out above most domestic lounges. I appreciate the premium espresso machine and the nice selection of pastries and snacks. While you won’t a full meal at this lounge, you won’t find rotting fruit salad like some lounges. The view from the lounge is also quite nice for an #avgeek like me. I love watching all the Alaska planes taxiing in and out. On the down side, this lounge is very crowded and there is very little privacy. We had a 4 hour layover on this last visit and I just wanted to rest in a comfy chair. I felt like I was in the middle of a company meeting with everyone staring at me! There are two floors to this lounge and LOTS of seating but it was still about 90% full. The bathroom was also tiny as it’s pushed right against the coffee area. Maybe it’s not as chaotic on the weekends with fewer business travelers. Would I pay a daily visit fee to spend time in the Alaska Board Room? Probably not. But if you have a membership or elite access, it’s not a bad place to relax.

This place is great! I don’t think it would be too realistic to expect much more. In terms of boardrooms, this seems just about as good as it gets. So the reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is, it’s a board room, not first class. — There aren’t many food options. — It can get a bit crowded and loud. — The internet is a bit slow. — There are limited private space options(at least in comparison to other airports) I realize the majority of my comments are negative, which doesn’t quite stand parallel to my rating, I guess I just always hold Alaska Airlines at a 5, unless proven otherwise. I mean, come on, it’s always ranked #1 in my book and by a number of reputable sources.

I’d never been to an airport lounge, though I had seen many reviews of various lounges around the World, so I had some idea what could be involved. No matter what I’d seen in the past, this Board Room was… not like these other lounges. The lobby of this Board Room is at least a quarter the size of the whole lounge. This lounge is not that big. It is two floors and while I was visiting, nearly every seat on those two floors, was full. It was packed! When I showed up(at 11AM on a weekday) there was what remained of breakfast out(the famous pancake machine was already shut down)! There was a muffin here, some cereal there, a few hard boiled eggs, and a maybe some yogurt. It was slim pickin’s So I had a decent cup of coffee and waited for lunch. The Internet password is posted on the front desk(I had to seek it out). Strangely the WiFi didn’t even show up on my iPhone when I first looked for it. Soup and salad was set out by 11:30. A simple salad(Romaine lettuce, sliced mushrooms, dressing and sunflower seeds) was available(tomatoes were gone within a few minutes, I didn’t get any). Visitors are allowed 3 complimentary drinks. they’re only available at the 2nd floor bar/dishwashing room window. As mentioned, the place was packed mid-day on a business day. To their credit, charging ports were plentiful, the Internet was good(once I got connected). This is not a lush International Lounge in Europe(you won’t be mistaken). It provides the basics, mostly comfortable seating, light food and drink, Internet, and easy charging for your devices.

Subpar for a board room. Freaks live for free soup and jostle for it. Pathetic set up for the flagship location. Minimal amenities and overcrowded. It makes a paid stop at Ivars look brilliant. Staff is usually nice.

I find it absurd that they will not help you with re-booking a flight from the Boardroom. I was delayed and they told me I would have to leave the Boardroom(I’ve been a member for 5 years) and find the customer service desk to get a flight re-booked. The reason? The employees at the Boardroom are not part of the Union of other Alaska Airlines employees– so are not allowed to book flights. As a customer of Alaska Air– I could care less about the union– and whether you are part of it or not. All I now know is that the customer experience is suffering because of the poor choices made by Alaska Air.

Pretty standard lounge. Wish they had some recliners– maybe they are hidden behind one of the numerous doors… I suggest that some additional food options be made available. On the plus side the drink options are plentiful!

The Alaska Airlines Board Room at Seattle-Tacoma Airport is located in terminal D near gate 1. The lounge is open to Priority Pass, Lounge Club and Alaska Airlines Board Room Club members traveling on any airline, American Airlines Admiral Club members traveling on American Airlines operated flights and Delta Sky Club members traveling on Delta or Alaska Airlines operated flights. Single use day passes are also available for $ 45/day. The lounge entrance is located on the first floor. The lounge is divided into two distinct areas, the first floor and the second floor. The first floor is the main«work and stay productive» area and the second floor is the«relax before your flight» area. The first floor is more business-like with plenty of desks, workstations and individual cubicles for you to zone out and get stuff done. There are tons of power outlets located at almost every seat and the vibe here is more, «don’t bother me. I’m working.» Need to hold a meeting before your flight? You can, there’s a private conference room that you can use. Need to have a confidential phone conversation? There’s an enclosed phone room to hold that important phone call in private. Wifi is provided complimentary and is password protected. There are also printers and copy machines available for your use. Don’t need to work and just want to relax before your flight? Come on up to the second floor where the vibe is more fun. There are TV’s with sound and you will find people relaxing and chatting with each other. The comfortable lounge seats are configured around clusters of two to four to encourage mingling with other passengers. At the time I was here(3PM on a Friday afternoon), one of the World Cup soccer games was on and you could here people cheering and talking loudly with each other. Power outlets are scarcer on the second floor but you can find them scattered throughout the second floor. There are snack and beverage stations located on both floors. Snacks include chips and salsa, crackers, cheese cubes, veggie sticks and a salad bar. Assorted cereal and pancakes are available during breakfast hours and hot soups are available in the afternoon. There are also juice, soda and coffee/cappuccino dispensers located on both floors. Complimentary alcoholic drinks are available at the bar and premium spirits, beers and wines can also be purchased for a fee. If you’re looking for some plane spotting, there’s one wall of windows with views of the runways and gates used by Alaska Airlines. There are no showers facilities available and they do not make any boarding or gate announcements. The lounge was kept clean with employees cleaning, busing tables and refilling the food stations constantly. There are unsecured luggage bins to store your bags and magazine/newspaper racks for you to peruse. Overall, this lounge was great and provided a great place for me to work a bit and relax before my flight. I arrived at 3:00PM and the lounge was about 50% full. At approximately 5:00PM, the lounge got a lot more crowded and was about 80% full. It can get crowded(and loud) but the Alaska Airlines Board Room is a great lounge and is definitely one of the better domestic lounges that I have visited. For this trip, I used my Priority Pass Select membership to gain entry but would definitely pay the $ 45 fee to use the lounge again if I didn’t have my membership.
