Ate here twice over the convention weekend. First time on Thursday night. Our server teetered between crazy and rude, to actually caring about us. Our food was okay. They took both our burgers back because I asked for mine plain and it came out with everything on it. She had to «prove a point to the kitchen staff that they didn’t get mine right.» Fries were cold and not that great. Burger was pretty tasty but over priced for the size. $ 65 for 2 burgers and 2 drinks. For Everfree NW they had specialty cocktails that were about $ 8 a pop. Really delicious! Service was way better on Saturday than Thursday night. 4 drinks and the cheese board was the same price as what we spent on Thursday. So overall better when they have a convention going and have discounts.

This is is not a restaurant you want to eat at if you are accustomed to great service and great food. Waiter service was choppy and so snappy you’d think«why am I here». Food is so so and very pricey at that! I had the«maple gazed salmon» except it didn’t taste at all like how a maple glazed salmon should be. First of all, it was not glazed and there was sauce on half the salmon that tasted like BBQ sauce more of a vinegary taste and not a trace of maple, this was $ 32! It was advertised to come with roasted broccoli and carrots and it came with steamed one piece of baby carrot and three pieces of broccoli, mashed potatoes tasted like it was BBQ flavored. Not my thing. I know and love my seafood. I had a salmon dish at Hook & Plow at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, $ 23 and it was delicious! Go have your salmon there instead of here. I know my food and have had great food all over the world in addition to exceptional service. This was not the place for me at all. I don’t know where your taste buds are but if you are anything like me, you don’t want to eat here. A better choice is just across the street at Mango’s Thai Cuisine & Bar. Trust me.

Nice atmosphere and great, friendly service. Thank you, Jill M. for great service. The clam chowder was absolutely ‘Da Bomb’ and was so tasty and filling that I was unable to order anything else. Well, I did ask for some bread, so that probably didn’t help matters, if you catch my drift. Oh, and the bread was fantastic too! Yum! My plan was to try the fish & chips which looked and sounded good, but maybe next time.

This is a decent place… serving up good food at ‘it-is-in-a-hotel” elevated prices. As much as I stay here at the DoubleTree(and when it used to be the Red Lion), I do tend to eat elsewhere if the weather is cooperating. When the rain is just too much, is a decent respite. The friendy Service at the Bar is great. Nice place with a contemporary 1974 feel to the motif.

The food we had was good, but the service was kind of unacceptable to me. The waitress’s name was Maria as I remembered. I appreciate her sense of humor, but just want to let her know that not people from all cultural backgrounds and of all types of personalities enjoy this style of service. I happened to be a nervous and introverted girl and her rude way of asking«are you girls staying? Because if you don’t, I don’t want to waste my water.» «do you speak English ??» and jokes such like«oh you want a spoon? But you don’t need a spoon at all. «just made me feel really awkward and nervous.(I was about to cry actually … excuse me for my sensitivity…) We waited for our soup for more than 30 minutes so I asked her to check on that. I was then told«oh I’m surprised you young people care about time! ! Were you timing it ?? You haven’t even been here for ONEHOUR yet!» if an item takes 1 hr to prepare, isn’t she supposed to let us know at the first place? Anyway the soup never showed up on our table though. She put the wrong order… I understand that she might be a little bit stressed out during the busy night shift, but honestly I didn’t enjoy my dinner there. The food was indeed really good though. I’m grateful to my gf for treating me to it.

The server was very nice but the $ 9 lemon soup tasted canned. I will not be eating here again.

I eat at hotel restaurants every week and the food here was horrible. Please do not waste your time or money. I ordered the lemon soup and it tasted like Campbell’s chicken soup in a can served with a slice of lemon on the side. Small bowl for $ 9.00! Ugggh

I’m posting this mostly because there are so many negative posts! I travel every week and stay in hotels 3 – 4 nights per week! My experience was great. I sat at the bar and the two bartenders, Mike & Bob were amazing. Very attentive and provided excellent service. The clam chowder was great and the burger was, well, a burger. For a large hotel chain near a major airport I think this restaurant does a great job! Give them a try next time you are in town!

Great pumpkin crème brûlée, clam chowder, and fish tacos! Expensive and a bit slow, but worth it for the top-notch food.

I don’t understand why everyone on the wait staff hates there job so much. I’m a flight attendant and I understand customer service. I also spend a lot of money at hotel restaurants and this one has continuously spiraled down hill. People that work here are painfully rude from slamming down menus interrupting your order abruptly, not refilling beverages etc. It’s just a awful and painful experience both last two times I was here. Last night we got in at about 12:30 and they wouldn’t serve us only allow stuff to go. Even though it says it closes at 1. 30 minutes is plenty of time to serve 3 people at a empty restaurant. I still tipped 20% on my to go order. I’m really not sure why. Foods good but a bit overpriced wine list overpriced as well. From now on I’ll just get food at the airport or 13 Coins it’s much better!

Ate at bar in hotel. Took 1 hour to get 2 drinks 1 meal and pay the bill. Place was not busy. Can only imagine how poor the service is when people show up. Really have nothing good to say about the place. Had a glass of local wine a jack and coke and fish tacos for 40 bucks. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me! Only going for 1 time

I stay at hotels weekly and I have to say the food was horrible here I ordered a cheese and meat tray and a glass of wine The cheese was hard and old let alone zero taste at all. I am not sure of the meat, besides the salami it was not fresh and was not recognizable by any means I would rather have drive through

Why can’t hotels have decent restaurants that aren’t pricey? And why can’t the wait staff at these places be a little more friendly? We were told the seafood chowder was great, and highly recommended, so hubby and I each had a bowl. It was edible, but not even close to amazing. Our son had the Dungeness crab cakes, which he said tasted fine, but were minuscule in size, even for an appetizer. The meat and cheese appetizer tray was just okay, but the onion rings were flavorless. We should know better than to eat at a place like this, but it serves as a reminder to avoid them in the future.

This place was o.k. We come here to have the Northwest Salmon and Clam Chowder. Unfortunately, this item is no longer available. Therefore, we settled for the run of the mill clam chowder. The BBQ pork chop was cooked well. The med. platter was not worth the price, with small portions. The pumpkin ravioli looked good. My son’s chicken strips were over-cooked. The waitress tried to be nice, but when I asked if the walnuts were roasted in peanut oil(due to my daughter’s peanut allergy) she asked me what peanuts had to do with walnuts. I had to become more assertive. At that point she went back to ask the chef. The online menu is outdated. It shows salmon and clam chowder as well as waffle fries(another favorite, not available). O.K. Place. Will not go out of my way to come back. This will be our last meal there during our 3-day stay.

Solid hotel food, quality preparation, fair prices. I have eaten/drank here on three occasions while here for a convention. This is inoffensive, American food. They have a rotating menu, with some standard items, and include some local specialties(like Pacific salmon). The service is courteous and efficient. The drinks are well-done, and options include local beers on tap, a small but well-curated bottle selection, and mixed drinks featuring local distilleries. The burger is actually quite nice. The french fries are a little underwhelming and sparse, but I appreciate that only because I don’t need that many french fries. The nachos are abundant, but are slathered in Velveeta-like cheese sauce, making them a bit more goopy than I prefer. This isn’t a destination restaurant, not by far, but if you’re in the area, it beats the pants off of any American-style cuisine in a quarter mile, and the drinks make it well worth it.

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times now and absolutely love the fresh home made potato chips they serve with smoked sea salt and vinegar. Every time I sit at the bar the service is impeccable, even when the place is packed, the service is great. However, the three stars is due to the last couple of visits. I had a group of co-workers with me, so we sat at a table, and each time we got the same waiter, with attitude. The first time we all thought wow, must be having a bad day or something? Evidently the gentleman has a lot of bad days, or is just an unhappy chap. There seems to be a number of the staff that work very hard to keep the customers well taken care of, its kind of sad to see one guy make a bad impression.

Let’s face it, this is your typical overpriced national-chain airport hotel restaurant and bar. If you’re a weary traveler craving convenience, comfort, and predictability, this will be the place for you. The food is gussied-up Sysco fare, the drink selection totally conventional. To be diplomatic, service is very courteous and professional, if highly… relaxed. And the food menu during off-peak hours is annoyingly limited. To their credit, this is a large, sprawling, cozy space to settle down and drown away all the frustrations of travel with a few drinks and some comfort food. Lots of big TV screens showing all sorts of local and sports channels. If you’ve got some down time, though, grab a rental car or take the airport light rail into Seattle and visit a craft brewer or try something culinarily edgy and inventive.

I love coming here after dinner and having a drink. If you’re staying at the Double Tree in SeaTac, this place is upscale, classy, and relaxing. The food here is pretty good. Wonderful presentation and good flavors.

We came here for lunch today and liked it. Now we’re back for more. FYI, they have homemade potato chips here. The salmon chowder is delicious.
