If you like what tastes like Costco frozen burgers, this place is for you. I can’t believe I’m yearning for the old days when Burger King was here.

Awful burger, giving an extra star for the fries and the sweet old lady at the counter.

Average food, still good choice to fill your stomach before boarding in terminal S. Price is acceptable.

Low quality food. Long line. Cashiers are offended if you ask for more than one BBQ packet. I’m pretty sure the only reason they’re in business is because they’re really the only option for fast food in the S Terminal.

Even for airport food our Runway Grill hamburger and fish sandwich were bad and over priced! Walk on my friends, walk on.

Burger wasn’t special. Any McDonald’s one would be same or better. Normal high prices for Seattle. They aren’t so fast, so consider if you’re in a rush it’s maybe better not to order there.

Had a cheeseburger. it was not great. The patty tasted like it had been sitting around in a pan of water just waiting to be reheated. The atmosphere was nothing special.

If you want half cooked hash browns, nasty Hunt’s ketchup, and bland food, this is the place for you. At least it was cheap.

At S9 gate, not many other choices… Fries were great, burger was terrible and it was expensive. Eat in the main terminal. It’s worth the extra time. «What’s the deal with airline food»… It’s sucks, that’s the deal.

My husband and I were short on time while running through the Seattle airport between flights and were really hungry. It was 6am and we just wanted something we could grab and take into our next flight. The biscuit breakfast sandwiches at Runway Grill near Gate S3 caught our eye and we made it through a short line lightning fast. We ordered two combos with orange juice and were pleasantly surprised the OJ was a simple capped bottle(super easy for stashing in a carry on), although we saw on our receipt this was a $.50 up charge. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and my husband got sausage. Basically considering what we expected to pay for airport food and what we expected to get with fast food breakfast, this place exceeded our expectations in both areas. The overall cost was about $ 13 and the value was good. We each got two hash brown wedges and though a little dry, the sandwiches were served with taco sauce packets and were actually quite tasty.

At the time of writing this review, Runway Grill has an average 2-star rating on Unilocal.Wow, that’s hard to do. What’s really surprising, though, are the average ratings for the other food options inside the South Satellite(S gates) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. To summarize: 1. Kobo — 1.5 stars( ) 2. Runway Grill — 2.0 stars( ) 3. Dungeness Bay Seafood House — 2.5 stars( ) Slim pickings. There are only three food options in the entire S terminal and they are all rated 2.5 stars or less. If you want to try a different restaurant, you’ll have to hop on the airport train. Kobo sits right next to Runway Grill and serves food resembling cheap grocery store sushi. Dungeness Crab looks more like a sit-down restaurant. I wanted something quick and filling, so that is why I chose Runway Grill. This is an American fast food joint. Menu options include: 1. Hamburger with lettuce, tomato, mayo — $ 8.48 2. Cheeseburger with choice of Swiss, American, or pepper jack — $ 8.98 3. Fire Pit Burger with jalapenos and pepper jack — $ 10.98 4. Grilled Chicken Sandwich with lettuce, tomato, mayo — $ 9.68 5. Chipotle Ranch Tender Sandwich — $ 10.48 6. Chicken Tenders with ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce — $ 9.98 7. Fried Fish Sandwich with tartar sauce — $ 9.68 8. Garden Burger with lettuce, tomato, mayo — $ 9.38 9. Hot Dog(¼ pound) — $ 7.89 The prices I listed are for the combo meals which include fries and a 20-ounce fountain drink(Coke products). All burgers are ¼ pound. They sell salads, chili, cookies, and brownies too. I opted for a #2 cheeseburger combo meal which came out to $ 9.83 tax included. On a jam-packed late Sunday morning with long lines at every business in the food court, I had to stand to the side and wait after ordering. However, I didn’t have to wait more than five minutes before a brown paper bag containing my meal was handed to me. I had Coke to drink. There are no self-serve condiment stands. You’ll have to request everything at the counter such as ketchup. They serve Hunt’s ketchup in tiny packets. They forgot to give me napkins, so I had to go back and ask for some from a cashier who was busy handling an enormous line. For airport food, I thought my cheeseburger was OK. It was filling and tasty enough. It definitely served its purpose in filling me up before a long cross-country flight back to the East Coast. Upon opening the burger from its foil wrapping, it instantly reminded me of a McDonald’s burger, most closely resembling a Big Mac with it’s sesame seed bun, cheese, and shredded lettuce. It didn’t have an extra bun or patty of course, but even the beef patty looked like McDonald’s version in its thin size and color(brown with a subtle gray hue). The lettuce and single tomato slice were sufficiently fresh. In contrast, the fries were *not* like McDonald’s fries nor any other major fast food chain that I can think of off the top of my head. They were much thicker and nice and crispy with a soft, appetizing consistency throughout. Not bad. The food court was slammed. My friend and I ended up sharing a small four-top table with a fellow from Spokane who was traveling to New Hampshire to begin the next chapter of his life. Apparently, Spokane was a rough patch for him and that afternoon’s flight was going to be his first in decades. After he left, we were joined by a late middle-aged European couple. Yes, I know these last few sentences are totally irrelevant to my review of this business, but I will be surprised if someone has actually read this far into a Unilocal review for an airport food court restaurant. Our server was Zosima G and she did a fine job. TL;DR: Runway Grill is a fast food joint in the S terminal serving run-of-the-mill burgers and fries. It’s one of your only options and you’ll survive if you eat here.

Huge line… two cashiers. They seem working efficiently, however, just too many travelers at this building. Combo deal about $ 10. Low quality food.

Airport food is rarely better than tolerable but this place is sets a new bar for half-assedness. I’m pretty sure the«grilled» chicken sandwich I just had was actually boiled. It had as much shredded lettuce as it did chicken and a small dollop of mayo. They also charge $ 2 for a small soda that you can only refill once. Save your money for the horrible food on the plane.

There were slim pickings for quick bites to eat in this terminal. I grabbed a grilled chicken sandwich before my next flight and it wasn’t even as good as what you might get at McDonalds.

Expect pedestrian food at low price(for an airport) … Ordered chicken salad … the salad was pre-boxed and the dressing was just a packed stuff.

Bad service and bad food. They were apparently missing hamburger buns, didn’t tell me and went ahead to use hotdog buns. Everything was cold out of fridge and the cheese fries were pretty much Cheese and Fries. Cheese frozen. Tip: if you want to spend your money here, dont. You’ll get better worth of your moneys even from the overpriced chips(2.75) behind the food court.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place! It was 6 am and our flight was delayed, so we decided that we had time to grab a bite. We found Runway Grill about five minutes down from where we were going to board, so we decided to eat there. We got the sausage breakfast burrito, sausage egg & cheese sandwich, and some hashbrowns. My burrito was actually really good! I wasn’t very happy with the tortilla it was in, because it wasn’t cooked or anything and it tasted too flour-y. The hashbrowns were ONPOINT though. They kind of tasted like McD’s hashbrowns, but not as greasy or salty. And, you get two per hashbrown order! They were good size, too. For what we paid($ 11), I think we got a sufficient amount of food that turned out to be pretty decent.
