TSA Checkpoint Charlie – Seattle/Tacoma International Airport

#Seatac At 8 am on Saturday, there are about 4 choices of which TSA checkpoint you go through at SeaTac International Airport. 3 are about an hour long, 1 is a about 15 minutes. At the food court checkpoint expect extremely rude and impatient workers as they brag about herding people like cattle. Not exactly the way anyone wants to be referred to as, nor want to start their trip off with. Thanks for nothing TSA!

A TSA person named Singh was dramatically ill-​disposed towards my mother who had carried on a small bottle of salad oil (gift for grandma). Singh realized it was a little over the limit and removed it from her possession, my mom asked if I could come in and grab it, Singh dismissed her. She asked if she could leave it at the desk for me to grab so the line could keep moving, Singh told her he was going to throw it away. Throwing it away isn’t your only option, in many airports, there are kiosks where you can ship an item to your destination or back to your home. My mother called my cell phone as she was standing there with Singh so I turned my truck around and my husband ran inside, the TSA ran him around in circles all over the airport like he was a monkey. Eventually, a TSA Woman (not a supervisor) told him that once my mother handed it over, it was forever gone. My mother did not hand it over and this was 10 minutes ago, it was taken from her. Now let’s talk about the police officer that stuck his head in my window to scream at me, I understand what the unload/​load spot is for but what I don’t understand is why you stuck your head in my truck to scream spit in my face. I made the mistake of asking the officer to help me pull out, I told him that I was scared someone would bump me since I was blocked and didn’t drive the truck often. He then asked for my license and continued to berate me. I was in shock, I’ve never had an officer treat me like that before, I didn’t say anything after asking him for help. Once My husband returned to the truck, the Officer told my him that I was scared to drive so my husband offered to drive, the officer grew more irritated. He stopped traffic so I could pull out while mocking me «look everyone, she said she was scared to drive but she’s still driving!» Is this how we train our officers and TSA? I asked for your help and my mother asked Singh for his help. I also paid for my mothers ticket which makes me a paying customer, I guess that means sub human to SeaTac Airport. What law did I break? I’m still not sure what criminal act I or my mother did to be treated like disobedient school children. I’m not a police or TSA hater but I would like to be treated with some courtesy.

Checked in for a flight back to Jersey last Sunday. This is by far the WORST run TSA location I have ever been to, and I do a good amount of business travel.
The ineptitude and inconsideration of the staff is mind-​boggling. They single-​handedly almost caused me to miss my flight as they wouldn’t allow me to move into the preferred line despite the fact that my flight was leaving in 35 minutes. If not for further ineptitude of SEA-​TAC (The gate’s door was jammed into the airplane, disabling if from being able to be closed, I easily WOULD HAVE missed my flight.
I travel by plane 10 – 12 times per year and always arrive at least 2 hours before a flight. After arriving 90 minutes prior to a flight, the rude and inconsiderate TSA agent ordered my girlfriend and I to go to a different security checkpoint (even though we were already at the ideal one) because they were too busy (there was a 10 minute line, tops.
After walking halfway thru the terminal, the central location (Checkpoint Charlie) there was a 1 hour line! Are you kidding me?
After letting the TSA agent know about my concern, she simply chose to ignore me and spoke to a boysout troop behind me instead, asking if they won their competition (they came in second becuase I asked as well.). After wrapping around another line and getting within ear shot of the preferred line TSA agent, he simply smirked back at me and said «I’m not responsible for your decisions.» What the hell? I replied with a polite «Thank you, Sir!»
I could go on and on for another hour waxing poetic about how bad this unit is, but I won’t. I’m a considerate passenger and obey all rules and regulations. In return I ask for nothing more than human decency and respect. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely by public servants!
