El Rinconcito/Taco Shark is quite possibly the worst, no scratch that the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Slow service, bad food. My fish taco’s were all batter, undercooked batter, yech.

I went to Seaside to see the ocean… and randomly decided to go to Taco Shark for a quick bite. My roommate and I sat there for 45 min waiting for our food to come out of the kitchen, while the table next to us was seated after us, ordered at the same time as us, got there food, ate it, paid there bill and left before we got our food. While cheap, the food was only OK. And my roommate got sick later on. I am just saying, this was a very poor trip to the Seaside.

I went with three friends to Seaside OR to do the touristy thing. We started getting hungry, so looked around for a place to eat. I saw a cute building that had a sign for Mexican food. I thought that sounded good, so we went to Taco Shark to eat. Big mistake! We were hungry, and it took forever. The chips were kept in a food warming cabinet and the salsa tasted like it was made from a can of tomato sauce. The waitress took our order. It was taking quite a while, and we tried to get the waitress’ attention to ask for more chips. Finally she came over to clarify something on my friend’s order. He ordered a combination plate with cheese enchiladas and chicken taquitos. We asked for more chips and salsa… which it took a little while to get, but we did eventually. When we finally got our orders, my friend’s order was messed up. and she noticed it as she put it in front of him. So she whipped it right away to have it corrected. The rest of us got our food. One friend ordered the veggie burrito. It was served in a paper wrapper, no presentation at all. One friend ordered 4 different tacos. He said they were OK, nothing special. It took a while for my friend to get his corrected order. There was no apology or anything for the mishap. I had ordered the chile relleno. It was actually pretty good. It was the first time I’ve had chile relleno with chicken in the middle. The only thing I didn’t like was that the red sauce tasted just like they poured tomato paste on top of the chiles. I would not recommend this place at all!

YUCK. We went to this place because there was almost nothing open in Seaside at 8:30 pm that wasn’t a bar. I have 2 little kiddos and we figured this could not be too bad. Well, it was. I feel bad because they only seemed to have one guy working the whole restaurant and he was nice, but seemed overwhelmed. However, the other people in the restaurant seemed as disturbed as we felt. The family next to us left all their food on the table and said it was disgusting. I have to agree. It was not very good food. It was bland to say the least… cheap quality, too. I mean, I wasn’t expecting much. Anyway, the real issue I had with this place is that it was DIRTY! Eewwwwww!!! It was nasty on the floors, menus, tables, etc. I can deal with food that doesn’t suit my pallet, but I can’t deal with unclean conditions. Anyway, maybe it was just an off day for them? It was Cinco de Mayo, so you would kind of expect a Mexican place to be at its best with a staff to accomodate. Who knows???

Was craving fish taco’s. Stopped in this place to try it out. Our server was nice and nothing was really wrong with the service but I just wasn’t a big fan of their food. I ordered fish taco’s which lacked essential fish taco flavors, needed more white sauce, cilantro or something. My friend had the veggie burrito which I had a bite of, tasted mostly of refried beans, at least in the bite I got. Prices were decent and this place definitely could have potential, but they need to reconsider their menu.

The waitress was friendly, but the food took FOREVER to come out and then was not good. It was fair, but the shark in my shark tacos was rubbery and the corn tortillas were chewy, not soft, as if they were old. While we were waiting FOREVER for our food, we asked another waiter for a refill of salsa and he looked at us like we were speaking another language and never brought it. When the food did arrive, we had to ask for eating utensils. Will eat elsewhere next time.

Whenever I go to Seaside I make sure I stop and have lunch here. I love(love) their steak nachos. I have been trying to recreate them at home — I tell anyone that will listen they need to try this place.

Finding a decent place to eat in Seaside was more difficult than I had anticipated. Stayed in Seaside after Hood to Coast and Taco Shark was actually the best we find. Fish tacos were really tasty.

We LOVED this place. They had great food at really reasonable prices. It’s not easy feeding two picky kids inexpensively. We were well fed very decent Mexican food for under 20 bucks for lunch. We will be back when in seaside.

We ate at Taco Shark last night for dinner. We found the food and service to be just OK, nothing great but no complaints. The prices were fairly low but we probably wouldn’t eat there again.

Great service, really nice wait staff. Delicious food, cheap /reasonable prices. Two people ate here for around $ 15.00. Food on the menu I ate: American Taco(crunchy shell, cheese, tomato, lettuce) with Pastor(pork marinated with a blend of difference chili peppers, spices and herbs, then slowly grilled with chunks of pineapple and onion) — truly scrumptious. Fish Taco(corn tortilla, cabbage, avocado, cheese, house dressing) with grilled Mako Shark — it smelled rather fishy yet didn’t taste as such, though a tad dry. Azteca soup, with chicken, shredded cheese, and vegetables — a hint of spice without being too hot.

We went to this Mexican restaurant while in Seaside. Its basic Mexican food at affordable prices. I had the shrimp tacos and those were really yummy. Its right on the boardwalk(can we call it a boardwalk at this point? I mean you can see the water, yet it not terribly close). Ah yes brain fart! I also think its cool that they have a breakfast menu that includes pancakes and chorizo burritos! Yes, I would definitely return if I’m ever in Seaside.
