Durant Park

Not much to it. Small play structure and four swings. The sand is full of cigarette butts, grass is dead.

Durant-​Farallones Park was one of the few parks and/​or city-​owned buildings that received an «Extreme Makeover» in 2008. Along with Beta Park, Cutino Park and the Wheeler Tennis Courts, vast improvements were made to improve the longevity and the quality of the resident experience at the parks.
Durant Park was equipped with new playsets, benches and wood chips to mitigate the safety hazards that it’s predecessor lacked. Unfortunately, with the City’s budget being in shambles, maintenance became less of a priority and the park has suffered from underwatering and graffiti on the equipment from time to time.
I am confident that once the budget is in order that this park will continue to shine as it did when it was first improved upon.

Many neighborhood parks and playgrounds exist throughout the city of Seaside. A very young family oriented community, with numerous programs available for boys and girls. The parks vary in cleanliness at any given time. We are fortunate to have them.
