Congratulations again to myself for choosing to eat at Patty’s Place. It’s not cheap, so I don’t eat there often, but again, I was reminded that it’s worth every penny. The service is incredible. Upon arrival we were made to feel like welcome guests. The food was prepared perfectly and tasted amazing. It came out perfectly timed so that our meal progressed at a nice pace without ever feeling wanting for anything. I highly recommend visiting Patty’s Place if you want a first class meal with the service to match.

Best Key Lime Pie In the area. So good that even if I eat somewhere else I go there after dinner for the Key Lime Pie. It’s the definitely the best around.

First time visiting on Saturday, 4÷2÷16. We had a wonderful experience! Called 15 minutes before arriving and Patty reserved us a booth. She greeted us and seated us when we arrived. Took our drink order and then we had a wonderful server for the rest of our experience. Will have to confirm her name. We had appetizers, salads, entrees, more drinks, and dessert! The food was wonderful! Patty checked on us a couple of times and even toasted our first visit with a special shot of vodka. We will definitely be back!

I’m a local and somehow have never been to Pattys, first time tonight and it was amazing. Excellent service and wonderful food. A true dining experience, which is so lacking in many restaurants today. I had the halibut, a seasonal special, it was a huge piece of fish and expertly prepared. My girlfriend had he filet – if you like steak this is the item for you. The mash potatoes had to be the 8th deadly sin – I dare you to try them! We started with the grilled prawns(a meal to them self) and finished with the bread pudding. Need less to say half the bread pudding came home with us(I’ll be eating it out of the fridge at midnight). A wonderful meal all around and really not expensive all things considered.

Best Patty Melt ever! Just be prepared for an expensive bill with the booze. The patty melt is with Kobe beef. Totally cooked to perfection. Mouthwateringly juicy! Actually, all their food is great.

I occasionally go to Patty’s place for cocktails and appetizers. They have a great staff! The owner Patty is another story. She was yelling at one of her best servers about her shirt in front of everyone in the bar. She said she signs her paychecks and she will micromanage her as long as she is the owner! Wow! Patty was very unprofessional and needs to retire! It’s not the first time she has done this. I have often observed her demeaning the employees and customers. She makes it a point to tell everyone she is the owner, she rushes you off a table if your time is up. She is a disappointment.(obviously other Unilocalers agree!!) The place is great! but if you want to have an enjoyable night go when she is not there!!!

Nice old school steak house décor however owner is out to lunch and nasty. If you do go, audit you bill carefully as last Saturday she was working the bar and she was caught overcharging for drinks.

Patty’s Place was such a disappointment. A HUGE disappointment We did an internet search for the best Prime Rib in Long Beach. Sally’s came up, as well as Captain Jacks in Sunset Beach. We went to Jacks on Sunday night and it was extraordinary! Wow. So amazing. Our arrival at Patty’s was fun. Patty sat us and chatted, then took our drink order. But once our martini order she retreated and brought in our server. Sadly, we never saw Patty again!!! Not even to ask how our dinner was. We ordered appetizers. Our party that had the«Escargot A La Imperial(for 2)» loved it. Those of us who had the«Bacon Wrapped Prawns» were disappointed. Very dry and over cooked. Then came dinner. We came for Prime Rib. There online menu states they have: «28oz Prime Rib Chop bone in and marbled, char-broiled to your liking with sauteed mushrooms». Sadly it’s not Prime Rib at all, but a bone in Rib Eye. So we ordered the Rib Eye. We waited and waited. First for the bottle of wine. Then for the food. Once they delivered the meal, the waitstaff disappeared. Even trying to get horseradish was a chore. Our friends were not impressed by the lackluster service which continued throughout the night. Even trying to get the bill took forever. In the end the food was good. Not great. And at Patty’s prices it should be spectacular. But alas not. So if you’re looking for great Prime Rib go to Captain Jacks! It is spectacular.

We stayed at the Pacific Inn directly across the street from Pattys Place. We had the best filet mignon, the drinks were fantastic AND the Crème Brûlée was the best both of us has ever had!

Amazing all around. Everyone’s food was phenomenal… I recommend it all! The key lime pie is a clutch finish. Also, the fresh wild halibut on special is a total knockout.

This restaurant was created by Patty 25 years ago and is a neighborhood favorite and beautiful Seal Beach California. This is a place that is as casual as it is fine dining where the martini is perfect the fish fresh and the steaks perfectly medium rare.

I read about this on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I live very close to this place. It’s in a strip mall kind of building and very easy to miss. Quite unattractive and unimpressive from the outside. Inside you will find white linen tablecloths and a very narrow dining area. It feels cramped dark and stodgy. The employees seem pretty unhappy and micromanaged by Patty who wanders around with her hands and just about everything. She’s in the kitchen she’s behind the bar she’s at your table she’s everywhere. I ordered Sandabs and my sister ordered the prons. I must say the prons were delicious with beautiful presentation. However later we discussed how the prons seemed to be swimming in butter, so of course the tasted amazing. Butter salt and sugar makes anything taste amazing, right? My sister ordered her meal with mashed potatoes, and it came with home fries. She didn’t bother to complain and the home fries were great, but it would be nice if you got the order right. The prices at this restaurant are a little high to be offering french fries with your prons in my opinion. Now for a description of my Sandabs. Horrible presentation and very disappointing. I ask for fresh vegetables and got two medium carrots and two sprigs of asparagus unseasoned and barely cooked. I felt like they were held by the finger dipped in boiling water and pulled out immediately. Both were nearly raw. I could hardly get my knife through the carrot. The Sandabs were mushy and overcooked. This is definitely a hang out for wealthy white seniors. The bar was crowded with an older set and the restaurant was loaded with seniors. One lady had a difficult time getting her walker up the steep one step dining area. Patty — elderly, well coiffed and quite beautiful, Will arrive at your table to ask if your meal is ok. Everyone there seemed to know her and call her by name. You get the feeling that this is the place frequented by repeat customers. I don’t think this experience or food was worth the price and surely for what you charge you could put real flowers instead of an artificial rose on each table. Oh. And you could class it up a little with something other than a Hershey’s kiss arriving with the check. Try a Dove chocolate single or even nothing would be better. I won’t be back. Got this«must try» restaurant off my to-do list. Bam. Done and done.

Celebrated a friends birthday with dinner last night. Food was amazing, staff are so welcoming and the environment is very pleasant. The bartenders Chuck and Jenny were very polite. It was also a pleasure meeting you Patty. You’re such a wonderful person. Jasmine was our waitress, very attentive and always smiling! Definitely will keep coming back!

Stopped in today with a friend for lunch. Planned on getting one of their great burgers and thick fries. Saw the insert for breakfast and changed my mind. Ordered the flatiron steak with eggs and hash browns and it was fantastic! Laura ordered the chicken sandwich and she loved it. Sat in a booth by the bar and the service was excellent from our waitress and the bartender. Had an excellent Bloody Mary too.

Just had the most wonderful evening with my in-laws. It’s one of their favorite places while it was my first time. It will be our replacement for Kelly’s which was always our go-to for birthdays and special occasions. Everyone from the owner to the wait staff could not be more accommodating. A true dinner house.

Okay, so we’re back to try more food on the menu. We love this Saturday and Sunday only brunch from 10 o’clock to 3PM. Mr. Picky loved the lobster Benedict so much last time that he ordered this special again, with extra hollandaise sauce. Me, I opted to try the flat iron steak, recommended by bartender Alex who greeted us when we walked in. Because the steak was Prime, it was beautifully tender, and the kitchen cooked it to a perfect medium rare. I selected as my side the cheesy potato pancake, and it was soft and gooey, nice. Now this is rare, and I can hardly believe it, but the chef in the kitchen actually got the scrambled eggs cooked properly, as they were still nice and tender and not overdone. He did some good things with our lunch today. Congratulations to chef Jose! We again had a great waiter, Juan, taking care of us. The appetizer we decided to try was the grilled shrimp which was tender, juicy, and had a lovely light sauce on it. Wonderful jumbo shrimp! I discovered why the coffee tastes so good here, and it is because they preheat a vacuum flask with hot water and then pour the freshly-prepared hot coffee in. That means it doesn’t sit on any hot burner and end up tasting like a fireplace. Not such a small thing for a coffee lover. We took leftovers home, just so that we could save space in our stomachs to try the homemade desserts. Last time we tried the cheesecake, Mr. Picky went for that again, and I decided to try the key lime pie for which they are supposed to be famous — in fact I quite liked it. I particularly love the crust on the cheesecake, a good amount of spice to perk it up!!! These old-style quality dining establishments are becoming popular again, and they care about food here. We’ll be back, and you should try it!!!

Our new favourite… perhaps. Fantastic food, great service and a wonderful cozy and intimate atmosphere, made that much nicer by the attentiveness of Patty! Our waiter and his assistant made for an excellent team, always prompt, engaged and it rule interested in how we were doing We started with the P. Bay oysters. Very nice. I liked that each oyster had a lemon slice so your were sure to have enough of a zest to squeeze on the little critters. The bread was okay. A. Ice looking mini-loaf but I would have preferred it warmed and a little fresher. I made the mistake of ordering the prime rib on the bone. I didn’t realize I was getting the whole cow! Huge portion, cooked to perfection with excellent seasoning. I had the mashed taters and they were good. Too bad I didn’t know about the twice bake potato. Oh well, next time We also had the wild halibut. Once again cooked to perfection with a nice little sear. A little more seasoning would have been good, but by doing the lemon juice from the fancy garnish and a little of the horseradish, it was heavenly. The vegetables were well done but the portion could have been a bit bigger Dessert. Danger danger! Oh my goodness. Paty’s homemade triple fudge chocolate cake. The serving was huge, the flavour amazing Would we go back. Well right now we can’t because I won’t be hungry for a week it seems, however, yes we will. The prices were not cheap, especially for the prime rib, but there is so much to like about this place. We’ll be back, you should too!

Quaint little bar off of pch located in a strip shopping center. I’m a fan of the old school bar that’s dimly lit and packed with locals. This place did not disappoint. The bar tender, Jenny, was very attentive and friendly. I think we asked for every menu they had, just to get an idea of the different options. Jenny never skipped a beat. She just hustled off and grabbed what we asked for. Although we only had cocktails at the bar, everyone was friendly, and based on the recommendations and customer reviews, we’ll be back for a meal.
