Wife and I decided to try this place out. Waiting in line for lobster was the only draw back to my experience. I also encounter over cook lobster that was not to my satisfaction. But over all the place was clean and the server was good. We will be back again.

How can people write a review on this place after it been closed for remodeling? You can’t eat at a place that closed so why are you faker posting fake reviews?

My cousin had her wedding reception I very much enjoyed the occasion, my only problem with the location was that the only access to restrooms was the public restrooms. Another problem of mine was the consistency of traffic we had from the public passing by the wedding reception. Being inside the reception hall there was not a problem I had a great time but for those two negative details caused a 2 star review.

We had our wedding reception here and it was wonderful. We are regular people with regular needs so having a great view, a bar, a jumper for the kids, and great food at the buffet, we were more than satisfied. They also made our cake and it was gorgeous, with white shells. It’s not fancy, but was just right for us.

IF I COULDGIVEZEROSTARS I WOULD. My boyfriend reserved this venue for his graduation party this Sunday, but apparently they’re under new management and decided to demolish and rebuild it that weekend. He reserved this place about a month and a half ago and they barely told him today(a week before the event) that they’re going to be under construction. They did NOT have the decency to tell my boyfriend reasonable enough to find a new venue. Who does that?! Very unprofessional and disappointing. DONOTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESS. They’re inconsiderate and cheap.

I went here for an event. The hostess rented this place. My rating is based on the following: Parking — Free — Woohoo! View — Nice! Food — Not the best I’ve had, but we had no choice on the food. The hostess picked that out. It was some chicken, mashed potatoes, and green salad with ranch dressing and fruit. It was just OK. To me it tasted and resembled hospital food. Very bland. Drinks — It was open bar so that’s always a plus. If you order a beer or something that comes bottled, you’re good. But don’t count on the blended drinks to be good. They are not that strong and were very bland as well. The room temperature was very hot. They even had one of those giant fans on. Not sure if their AC was broken, but it was very warm inside. And this was in May, it was about 75 degrees outside. The restrooms only had 2 stalls! Come on! 2? I know there was at least 200 people at the event. And there were no paper towels to dry your hands with. The restrooms definitely need a little TLC. So all in all, it was just OK.

Very romantic place. Was there for single party but not sure if you can just go there and hang out in this place with a friend for a drink it seemed very empty even go Friday night. They offered dinner for a nice affordable price for $ 15. Drinks are $ 7. I think this place has a lot of potential.

Smh as I write this review it has to be done so here goes nothing… came here last night for a private party, immediately walked up to the bar and ordered a tanquerae gin with soda water.(taking a deep breath while gathering my thoughts) it was NOT tanquerae so I asked the bartender to hand me over their bottle so that I can smell it and confirm that indeed it was NOT what the label said. I gave him back his 1.75 liter bottle and asked for a belvedere and soda water, again same problem. Really? Not only do they have wrong size bottles but they literally switch out their alcohol Wtf!!! All while profiting off it if they do this to their alcohol, I could only imagine what they do to the food

After spending two sucky Christmas work lunches here it’s time to stop the madness. I decided to write a review. First off, the 30 or so people from work that eat here every year for Christmas lunch always get put in the same frosty cold room. No heat lamps. But hey, at least we have a view of the water. They put out two cheap heaters from Walmart at each end of the table. There are hobos sleeping on the street with better heating than us. Why not put on a jacket, order coffee, and deal with it you ask? Well… There’s 30 people — and ONE server. The coffee is served in the kitchen initially. By the time the coffee comes out — it’s almost iced coffee. I feel bad for the one server. There are children in Indonesian shoe factories that are less overworked. Last year I had the beef stroganoff. Aesthetically, it’s looked like someone dumped a can of dog food into some pasta. It tasted like the salt shaker lid came off in some cruel kitchen prank and I was eating the results. This year I thought why not try the teriyaki chicken. It was mostly sweet teriyaki sauce with little bits of chicken floating in it. People around me complained about the under-cooked fish that likely came from a frozen box of Costco fish. It was frozen in the center. Having one server meant that the first person was finishing their meal while the last person was nowhere near even receiving their meal. Why do we keep coming to this place? I know this review seems harsh but let me end it by saying this: A BUNCHOFUSSTOPPEDBYIN-N-OUTTOPICKUPSOMEFOODONTHEWAYTOTHEOFFICE.

Let me first say, I would have given the«original» Khoury’s a 4 or 5 stars. But since the owner, Mr. Khoury, sold his restaurant, the food and the overall restaurant itself is not the same. Had I known that he sold his restaurant, I would have not purchased the livingsocial deal. I was highly disappointed with the food selection. They had an omelet and waffle station, a sad looking salad bar that didnt have any salad dressing(my mom had to request for dressing. You would have thought after the request that they would have put some out on the table, but nope, they didn’t. A table with okay desserts, and then the ONE table that had bacon, eggs, rice, seafood crepes, tough looking ribs, beef strogonoff, steamed carrots and broccoli. Lets just say I FORCED myself to get full off of just the waffles and omelet… Not what I was expecting from Khourys. A total let down. I can go on and on about how poor and a dump this place is now. Unilocalers beware: if the last time you’ve been to Khourys was about a year ago, don’t bother coming back, as it is under new management. If I were Mr. Khoury, I would have them change the name because they are putting his name and his reputation to shame. Now it makes sense as to why they are having living social deals practically every other week. They are desperate in keeping the place open. Do not waste your money. Not worth it at all.

Are you trying to kill me? If it were possible to give a negative review I would do just that! This place used to be great when it was a hole in the wall near downtown Long Beach many, many, many moons ago. Now it is an overpriced garbage dump, that needs updating and NOT just a few coats of paint that has great views of the Marina. This outdated place almost had me in emergency on more than one occasion. It used to be known for their delicious chicken made several different ways. The last time I ordered the chicken it was dry and tasteless. How can you mess up chicken. The veggies were over cooked and rice under cooked and crunchy. I don’t like my rice crunchy! If it were not from the terrific view my entire experience would have been for naught. The carpet needs not to be cleaned, it need to be ripped out and replaced, the fish tank could use some a good scrubbing so you can actually see the fish that are in there and they need a new chef because the one that is there is the pits! I heard it was under new management but I am too afraid to go back and risk my life. I’ll stick with McKenna’s in the same parking lot. They have good food and a good view.

Similar to most everyone else, I got the Groupon deal for Sunday champagne brunch. We made prior reservations by calling the restaurant and that part was fine. I got through in one call and got the date and time I wanted. Upon arrival though… boy, this place is special. It’s a mix of the cheapest wedding materials to go along with a navy themed party. We requested to sit outside! At least there we’ll have the ocean breeze and the picturesque view of the marina. The food was whatever. They have an omelet bar which was the best food there. Also chocolate covered strawberries. Of course, the unlimited champagne was the best part of the whole experience. We tipped over server right at the start of the meal to tell him to keep the champagne coming! He did good — my glass was never empty.

Terrible, simply terrible. I sent an email to get a reservation online for Sunday Brunch. I received an email that said please confirm 1 p.m. So I emailed back and was told the reservation was for 1:30. What? Who does that? So we get there about 1:15 and still waited 45 minutes to be seated. I had always heard rave reviews, but then realized they were before the restaurant changed their brunch. They no longer serve lobster or crab legs as they once did. They do have crab on Saturdays, but that’s useless for a Sunday Brunch Groupon. I was disgusted by the smell and humidity of the restaurant. It has a stale smell as if it hasn’t been cleaned out in years. The décor is drab, the lighting is low, and it’s basically dirty. I didn’t even go to the restroom(even though I needed to) after overhearing someone else tell her friend not to go in there. The food was not good at all. The only edible thing for me was my omelet. I have no idea what the salmon puff pastry thing was supposed to be. The crust was dense and didn’t fluff properly. The flan was dense and lacked flavor, the fish in sauces were not appealing at all. The smoked salmon itself was mutilated into little pieces. The waffle iron did not work apparently. The filling for the crepes had too much glaze, not enough fresh fruit. Really, they didn’t have much of a selection at all. Service was very slow. We had to ask for extra napkins and silverware. Another couple by us didn’t even have place settings when they were sat down. A lot of the tables were left dirty when we walked through to be seated. They are overbooked, and understaffed. We never got refills on our drinks. Parking was another issue in itself. It took me 25 mins to find a spot. I didn’t pay full price, but I would have been furious if I had. My husband and I left feeling grossed out and you couldn’t pay us to go back.

I got my voucher for free because I’m awesome So we came around 1:30pm and got seated. We sat for awhile and no one came to ask us for our drinks so we left to get food. They had some of the following: Shrimp cocktail– with the skin still on it. Annoying to eat. Hummus– but no bread left Crepes– With fruits that looked from can Waffles– Didn’t look appetizing Fish chowder– surprisingly good Ribs– Also pretty good Ham– whatever Seafood Crêpe– filled with imitation crab Breakfast Items– eggs Smoked Salmon & Cheeses Desserts– carrot cake, cheesecake, cookies, small strawberry covered cherries They were missing a few other items. I only had one plate of food and that was enough. I can’t believe people actually paid $ 30 for this voucher. HAHAHA. The service was there was no service. We tipped anyway and left.

Came here on a groupon with my brother.(Brunch Buffet) Got there at 1 after making a reservation… Wow there was a line =___=’. Almost everyone had the groupon or living social… Only one group of people(father/son) did not have it. Got there at 1, got seated within 20 minutes. Service: The reason why this place is staying afloat is because their staff is extremely friendly. I think they all know that their food is pretty whatever, but they are pretty dang friendly and helpful. Additionally, they kept refilling the bubbly without asking(although I wish she had refilled my OJ, but I think the secret was that they were out of OJ). Good Eats: –Smoked Salmon(the best seafood I could find there…) Just you supermarket type sitting on a nice plate nearby the bagels. Yum. –Corn Salsa: Reminds me of Chipotle Corn. mm. –Waffles: Yeah, theyre pretty good. Better than the Belgian Waffles that I’d get from UCI dorm food(and those were okay too). –Bacon, but no sausage ???(Instead they had hot links) –Potatoes au gratin(I think), but they ran out fast so I only had a small scoop. –Omlettes and Pasta Station(The guy is super nice and friendly!!) Will give you the runs: Roast Beef… DRYDRYDRY. And where was the leg of lamb that was advertised? Shrimp Cocktail… I have to peel my shrimp? I’m too lazy for that. Most of the desserts look good but don’t taste good. Only good one was the walnut bar. Like I said, the reason why this place is staying afloat is: 1) Excellent Service 2) Groupons/Living Social Coupons. This brunch buffet is not worth $ 30/person… and with Groupon($ 15/person) it’s still hard to argue for it. This is just a little better than hometown buffet with bottomless mimosas.

I wish I could give this place more than 2 stars but there is no way I could justify that without compromising my integrity. This place is definitely a bit dumpy and run down and not a place for foodies. If it weren’t for the 2-for-1 Groupon I think I would be writing about how I was completely ripped off. So I would definitely recommend not coming if you’re paying full price. The other point is if you don’t have RSVP then they won’t seat you. They told us we could try the bar. We waited about 15 minutes, a couple got up, and we lucked out. I think it would be hard to persuade me to come back so I’m glad we were able to get a seat. The buffet room was either understaffed or people just didn’t work. The poor omelete guy had an endless line all morning and it was the reason I didn’t even bother with it. I went to the carving station but half the time the guy wasn’t there. There seemed to be a lag between when the food ran out and when it was replenished(this could have been strategy). For the food itself, it was mostly below par. The thought the roast beef was okay but it wasn’t the best cut of meat. The catfish was fine but too greasy for me. The salmon was a rare find but when I was able to get some it was good. The crepes were fine as was the bacon. And I thought the chocolate covered strawberries were good. There were no stars for the atmosphere, ½ star for the food, and the other 1.5 stars goes to Felix, our bartender. He was fun, full of energy and never allowed our champaign glasses to go empty. He always made sure our area was clean and had great conversation. In all honestly, I would probably go back because of Felix and he was the reason I really got my money’s worth!

Don’t try to come here without reservations, because they will not accept it. Thanks to the boyfriend, I did not think about reading their reviews and just bought their coupon from LivingSocial for $ 39 for 2 people brunch, including unlimited mimosas. Damn you, unlimited mimosas and view for attracting our attention! Our reservation was made at 11:30 am and we were running half an hour late. So I thought, alright, I am going to give them heads up in case a lot of people are ahead of us. You know some places have an order of reservation and yadi ya. As I tried calling them to let them know, no one answers. I swear I called 20x yet no one answers. I gave up and just left them a voice mail and started heading there. Parking wasn’t too bad… but as we got to the place, holy shit the line was long. and makes no freaking sense of why a group of a family NEED to be in line when their reservation is only on one person’s name. –_– Ugh. By the way, even if you have a reservation, you don’t get seated right away… you still have to wait. BIGFROWN! Went to the bar, got a drink. Got a bloody mary, DONOTGETIT. Doesn’t even taste like it. So fudging sweet and I was given a beat up celery stalk and had to ask for a new one. Funny thing is that I told the bartender if I can get a new one, and he gives me a whole cup to pick for myself and most of them are pretty beaten up. Seriously need to toss them out if they want customers to come back. I mean, seriously. Got seated near the ocean view indoors, got our drinks, and went to get our food. It was buffet style, so you can get whatever you want to eat. I swear I had to go through 2 plates just to pick out a clean one to use. Gross. Make your own pasta, make your own omelet, and make your own crêpe. yeah, still didn’t help. Service was okay. Front desk just sucks. Coming back? Neh.
