Ashley is the best! I have fine hair that unless it is cut right is really hard to style. With Ashley, I have been able to grow it out very long and it looks so healthy because she is that good! And Kelly who does nails is outstanding as well I have been with her for a long time. Very thankful to have met them both and can’t say enough good about the salon.

Ashley and her assistant were outstanding. We hired her for our wedding hair needs last weekend. She was professional, creative, kind and fun! She styled the bride, 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms and flower girls. We couldn’t believe how well our curls and hair stayed in place throughout the event. The styles also looked amazing in photos. We received so many compliments from our guests well into the late evening. We will be highly recommending her services to all of our family and friends. She is THE best!

I was blessed to be referred to Lorraine by a friend, after 20 plus years with a stylist who suddenly disappeared (hey, it happens, but it is pretty scary when it does!). Lorraine took me in, solved my very bad roots problem (way overdue, lots of grey and dark roots), and gave me a terrific haircut — short, frisky, feminine enough but very California for my visit back to Illinois for the 40 year High school reunion). I love it! Loraine’s a wonderful, welcoming woman and she made my new salon experience really great — thank you!

Ashley did a great job styling my hair. I was worried to try another hair dresser and another salon since moving to the area two years ago. My hair feels light and healthy, it feels and looks fresh. I will absolutely be coming back!

This review is for Kelly Tran. I have been seeing Kelly for over 2 years for pedis and manis and she is awesome. First of all, she is always on time. The way she applies the color it lasts for 6 weeks… for me. Can’t go wrong with that, not to mention we always have fun chatting.
Kelly has recently done a 6-​part facial series for me. I am in my late 50’s and have some dark spots on my face, and this treatment targets that and plumps up your skin as well there are lots of vitamins in the product line that Kelly uses. She recommends that you have one each week for 6 weeks to see the most improvement, which I did. Even my husband noticed my skin was much healthier even after the 2^nd treatment.
Kelly takes her time to explain what she is doing and is careful with your skin type, making sure that you are always comfortable. After the 6 treatments, my skin was glowing and felt softer. I am going to maintain this by going to see her every 4 – 6 weeks for an anti-​aging facial now. Plus, of course you get to relax and get a nice neck and hand massage while all the cream soaks in.
I would recommend going to see Kelly for all of your nail and facial needs!

I am constantly asked where I get my hair done, and who do I go to. The answer is One Luv Salon, and LAURIE is her name. She is absolutely amazing. Laurie not only does my hair but my Mom, and Sister’s as well. My Mom has a short red bob, my sister rocks a blond ombré, and I keep it long and blonde with bangs. We all go for something completely different and it always comes out fabulous. She has even been taking extra special care of my 4 year old daughter’s hair since her very first haircut. Every time she’s in Laurie’s chair she can’t stop smiling. She is patient and a perfectionist. She takes the time to listen to what you want and knows how to make it happen. I usually don’t Unilocal but LAURIE is that good! I know after one appointment you’ll be hooked. Thank you LAURIE for all you do. You’re the best!!!

Love this place! Followed my stylist, Allison, from George Oliver, and she never lets me down! Nice, relaxed atmosphere, and I’m always asked if I’d like a soda and made to feel very comfortable.

I just started coming here following my stylist, Laurie, from her previous salon. Love the relaxed atmosphere and Laurie always gives me the best service possible. I went platinum about a year ago and I am constantly asked if it is natural?!! She is the BEST!

JOEY IS AMAZING! I used to go see him for haircuts in Long Beach and I’m glad I found him again. After paying 45 dollars for a salon in my town to totally mess up and chop off my hair, I drove two hours to go have Joey work his magic and the drive was totally worth it. This Salon has talented hair dressers and great customer service. I will definitely be back. Thanks a million Joey!

Ashley and Joey have been my hairdressers for ten years… color, cuts, styling, everything. And I always leave satisfied. They are professional, offer great suggestions and advice, and keep me entertained with casual conversation. Wow. I’ve been going to supercuts for years and I am bummed that I haven’t come to One Luv sooner. One word to describe it is «Experience». It wasn’t just getting a haircut, it was the overall experience that I had. The ambiance of the salon is great! Very clean and artwork displayed all over. I had joey as my hairstylist. He was great. Very friendly, talkative, never an awkward moment like I had at super cuts where they cut your hair as fast as they can and send you out without speaking a word. It really feels as if they care for your experience as well. He made sure he was as satisfied with his work as I was. Things that were continually asked for at other salons and failed to be accomplished, were done to perfection at one luv. Again my EXPERIENCE was incredible. I will be coming back for sure. Even though its out of my way and its not as cheap as the franchise salons, its worth it to look at myself when my haircut is finished and say «wow its exactly what I wanted.» As opposed to other salons where I leave thinking, «well, its hair, it will grow back.» Thanks again joey.

A-​OK is about right. I called for a last minute appointment one day and came in to have my hair cut by Ashley. I was just not too happy with the whole experience. I thought it seemed a bit rushed, but didn’t notice until afterwards that the entire appointment was over and done with in less than 30 minutes. Eek!
I asked for layers and bangs and I got them — hence the three stars. But the bangs were way too short (it took about a month to grow out to my brows) and uneven. The layers were only at the bottom and not on top so my hair was shaped into a classic triangle and not flattering to my face. The blow out made me look like Marlo Thomas with a flip at the bottom. While I love «That Girl,» we live in 2012, not 1972. I paid $ 50 and tipped well, but I won’t be back.

You can’t put a price on SEXY! That’s all I’m saying…

I just looked up «Joey» in the dictionary and, in addition to the baby kangaroo definition, it also listed «awesome, fantastic, professional, cool.» I went in for a trim, with only Unilocal reviews as my support system, and left with a great cut and super straight hair (he’s a whiz with the flat iron!). My last stylist, according to him, did some poor layering and he took it upon himself to fix it and explain to me what and why he was doing in the process. No doubt about it, I’ll be back! Very happy with my service.

Ashley cuts my wife’s hair and Joey cuts mine and my boy’s. Truly an awesome salon for anyone. If u have teen kids bring them here. I won’t let anyone else cut our hair.

This review is for the nail specialist, Kelly Tran.
My job requires that I wash my hands a lot. I’d gotten tired of trying to keep up with my polished nails. .And like I said, I wash my hands… a lot.
Kelly suggested that instead of polishing my hands, why not buff them? I’d never heard of this! She did a regular manicure, then smoothed the ridges, applied a buffing cream, and buffed them to a brilliant shine. No more chipping of polish, no more worrying if my manicure was going to last for an occasion. Kelly solved that. The wonderful thing is that my nails always look manicured, natural and neat. Never fussy or overdone.
And the other great thing? Kelly always runs on time, which tells me she values my time as much as I do. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, if you’re looking for someone who will take care of your hands and toes, Kelly is your person.

This review is for the nail tech Kelly Tran. I was in need of a fill and I was also tired on my Katy Perry cracked look. Driving down PCH I noticed One Luv. I screeched to a stop and hopped out of my VW. I did not receive the usual «who are you stares». But I did receive compliments on my cute doggies in my car. We were off to a good start. I made an appointment with Kelly later in the afternoon. She is the only nail tech in the busy hair salon. She is very down to earth and friendly. My nails look perfect! Her station is very clean too. She is fast and efficient but you don’t feel like she is in a hurry. This is my new place for sure!

I love this place. After looking for years for someone who understands my needs. I finally found the place. Ashley knows what I want and gives me what I want. I am SO over due and cannot wait to see her soon.
Pricing is right on. Clean atmosphere. Comfy chairs. Great magazine. Nice friendly staff.

Yay! I finally found Joey’s salon!
After going to Joey almost exactly a year ago on a trip home from school (since my mom raved about his cuts, and I’m quite picky about my hair), my mom and I were pretty devastated to find out that he had left George Oliveri. Not only that but no one really knew where he went and GO wouldn’t tell anyone (who could blame them, they’d probably lose half their business since he’s one of the best they had).
So after about a year later, and getting desperate because I was starting to look like Cousin It, I found his salon and my mom and I immediately booked an appointment. Oh, and did I mention the last time I let someone touch my hair was the previous year when Joey cut my hair? Yeah, I really am THAT picky:)
Anyway, my mom and I had back to back appointments. She got the haircut she’d been wanting and I finally cleaned my lion mane up and look much more presentable, haha. Even my mom was surprised to see how long my hair really was.
