Javatinis is legendary in Orange County, too bad they closed down their Costa Mesa location nr. South Coast Plaza. Their signature iced– coffee drink ‘The Javatini’ is great.

I have worked in coffee all my life and I can confidently say that the guys at Javatinis Seal Beach know their stuff very well. Not only do you get a superior coffee, but the whole team goes out of its way to deliver an excellent service.

They lost five stars as the baristas were so busy enjoying each other’s company they got orders wrong and then it was hard to get their attention. The breakfast sandwich was to die for. The donut and croissant were excellent as well. My friend stated the coffee was excellent!!!

Loved my flat white. Terrific coffee and service. I received the wrong breakfast sandwich and the only reason for 4 stars. They did try very hard to correct it so appreciated that! Update: They get the 5th star because the owner reached out and responded within a day. I love that kind of attention to business.

I always stop in at this place while in Seal Beach. I always order the Javatini– but I ask for half of the sweetness as the original version can be too sweet. Also, the coffee cake is amazing. It is a nice local coffee shop that is a great alternative to the typical Starbucks offerings.

The latte syrup selection was large and their coffee wasn’t too bold in flavor(non acidic). Surprisingly delicious.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was delicious and more than surpassed mg expectation. I enjoyed an iced coffee. The second time I decided on an affogato. The description was ‘two scoops of vanilla gelato drowning in a shot of espresso.’ While my daughter got a nice hearty serving of gelato, my two scoops of vanilla seemed like barely half a scoop. Hmmm. Not a deterrent tho from wanting to come back. Just had me scratching my head.

A great place to get your coffee to-go and take a walk to the beach! While I am more of a black coffee drinker, i thought to try the honey vanilla latte iced. It was much sweeter than my liking but still good. There’s limited space inside, so it’s not really a sit down kind of coffee shop. Will come back to try other drinks!

Oh my goodness am I in love with this place or what? I’ve only been here twice and it already has a special place in my heart! My aunt and I go here when my cousin’s wanting to catch a few waves at Seal Beach. And you can tell people love it because it’s always so busy!!! The two times I’ve gone I ordered a latte and a raspberry white mocha, and got the cinnamon rolls minis for a quick bite. The coffee is SO. GOOD. Obviously quality and made with love! And the cinnamon bites are sooooo tasty! Everyone is honestly so friendly here. From the employees to fellow customers, there is just such a great vibe! I can’t wait to come back! And if you’re in the area, you should definitely check it out too!

I think I am beginning to be a regular here. Already went here three times the past week! Great small little coffee shop. Love the vibe here. Very quiet and cozy ambiance. The drinks are pretty well made too. The baristas are very friendly and patient with me when it was my first time here. Favorites: hazelnut latte and cranberry muffin!

I love this little coffeehouse! They offer lots of options when it come to drinks and bakery treats. Also, they have a variety of alternative dairy, including hemp milk, which is rare to find in a coffee shop. Great location as well! I’d argue that Seal Beach is one of the better beaches in Southern California because it isn’t crowded or noisy.

I love these small coffee shops. It feels so much more personal. The ambiance is moderately hipster but not in an obnoxious kind of way. As far as the coffee, I ordered a large ice coffee with cream/sugar and coconut flavoring. It was great! It tasted a lot like Thai iced tea actually. And it was $ 3.40 including tax. For a large drink, that’s not too bad. I’ll be coming back for sure

He had a chai latte. She had an Italian cappuccino with 2 shots. His chai latte was smooth, sweet, and milky. Where’s the spice?! It was good for a homemade chai from a package, but Starbucks’s version has a more complex profile. Did I mention how much milk is in there? It’s like a milk latte with a splash of chai. It’s good, if that’s your thing. But not what I was looking for. Her cappuccino wasn’t very Italian, in that she would have expected to eat the foam with a spoon. Given that they offer a choice between American and Italian cappuccinos, she was surprised that her drink was more like a latte. The espresso itself was ok– mild and a tad tart. Not very complex overall, though the excess milk may have been the killer. Not a bad cup of coffee, but not memorable either. Out of 3, no BEANS.

This place is my solid go to when I’m in SB. I like that they have gluten free baked options in addition to the usual coffee shop treat fare. The bathroom is clean, service is nice and drinks are good! It’s not tastemaker or craft coffee by any means, but if you’re in need of a good, blue collar, grab-and-go, old school, by the beach spot — this place is great! I like it better than any other shop in seal beach. I’ll be back — as usual!

The best coffee shop in Seal Beach! The owner Rob, really knows his coffee. They roast their own beans, so you get a fresh cup every time. Wonderful atmosphere. It’s the neighborhood coffee shop right in the center of Main Street and walking distance from the pier. They also carry a wonderful selection of pastries and serve breakfast. The bear claw is my favorite and I get the #3 — egg, ham, cheese on a bagel. My colleague loves the Cubano with A touch of soy milk. I drink the Cubano latte with almond milk extra hot.

Liked but not loved my iced mocha here. Service was ok, not stellar and pretty slow. It gets really full here, so be prepared for a wait. Descent selection of coffee and ice cream which my son tried and enjoyed. A nice stop since there is not much in the area and it’s located right by the beach so at a prime location. FIne, but not worth rushing back for.

The espresso gets five stars – smooth, rich, strong latte. The pastries get 2 – 3, as does the service. The pumpkin muffin’s merits pretty much ended at its moistness(too spicy), plus the guy who rang us up didn’t seem to know what the pastries were. Observe: Me [pointing]: That bread there – is that pumpkin bread? Guy: I don’t know. Me: You don’t know what kind of bread that is? Guy: It could be pumpkin. Or it might be banana nut. Me: Well, I guess it’s kind of orangey, so maybe pumpkin. Guy: It has nuts, so I’m going to say banana nut. You want it? Me: No way to figure out what it is? Guy: Not really. Me: Hm. Then I guess I’ll choose the pumpkin muffin instead. The appropriate course of action would have been for him to mark out one of the many pieces of bread, offer me a taste, and find out for himself. But we just sort of reached a stalemate, and he seemed disturbingly untroubled about the idea of selling me a pastry whose flavor he couldn’t identify. Odd. Still, I would definitely come back for another tasty latte!

Definitely a place that knows their coffee. I had an iced black coffee here once and it was simply amazing – full bodied, strong flavor and none of that sour diluted burnt Starbucks bullshit. I’ve also had an iced tea here with some peach syrup and that was so refreshing. Something about having your iced tea shaken on the spot with some Torani syrup is just so much better than iced tea in a can or a bottle. Also about the same price. I took my chances and tried an italian cream soda with peach syrup after that, but that was not good. Way too much milk, not enough syrup, wasn’t sweet enough. Pretty cool that they make their drinks from scratch though! Besides the coffee, my favorite thing about this place is actually their gelato. Top notch texture and firmness. Try the passion fruit flavor mixed with the strawberry flavor. Diverse selection on pastries too! We tried a banana nut bread once, but there was no banana flavor. Basically, this place can be a hit-or-miss, but two things you can count on for quality consistency are their coffees and their gelatos.

This tiny place is packed! Even on a Monday. Javatini’s in located in the heart of Main St. just down the street from the sand. I come here whenever I’m in the area. I think they’re better than the Coffee Bean which is just a few building next to them. Surprisingly enough, I’ve never tried their gelato, so I will have to update this review when I get the chance to go back! Regularly I just have the standard red eye, with room for milk and sugar, and maybe a pump of flavored syrup if I’m feeling fancy. Every once in a while I’ll get something off of their Specials menu, which is on a chalk board and changes pretty frequently(spring, summer, fall and winter comfort flavors). I’ve never had a coffee that I didn’t like! Everyone working here is extremely kind, no matter how big the rush is. This place is pretty tiny, so the seating sucks if it’s extremely crowded. But if you come at the right time when it’s slow, it’s the perfect place to do work or homework. I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a warm cup of coffee for a cool evening walk on the pier, or a cold tea/gelato for a summer day at the beach.
