Yes I’m biased, but that doesn’t mean I’m wrong:) «‘Til death do we party.» $ 3 papst blue ribbon, you can’t beat that. A vibe that can not be compared to any other spot on Long Island.

I’ve been to Leaky a few times before, and last night was kind of a strange experience. Granted, it was a weekend so things probably go down differently here. They offer great deals on craft taps, and have a good selection of local beers. They also have enough different selections to make your usual cocktail. They have foosball and a virtual beer pong table in the back, and there are plenty of places to sit. People were bringing in pizza from Za next door and leaving the paper plates on the floor. UGH. I felt bad for the guys running around and cleaning up. It seems like they work hard. The music was all over the place. They went from screamo to DMX to NSYNC in half an hour. That was funky. Seeing bald men dancing and raising the roof was entertaining. The clientele varied from hipsters to frat guys to goths. It’s just not my type of crowd. I’d come back on a quieter night, but that’s because I’m an old lady now. Having to shout at my friends for a convo just isn’t my thing anymore. Bartenders pour a mean Guinness, though.

Walked in at 4pm during the week for what I thought would be for a few beers and some after work downtime, to a biker chick bartender in her 50’s and two kids all screaming at each other trying to do school homework and or some kind of qierd babysitting scene. Ugggh. Walked out after I finished my beer.

Stopped in between a wedding ceremony and reception for a quick drink. Your typical dive bar, lots of sailor décor, but was very clean. They just redid a wall in the back with different colored tiles, looks awesome!!! Bartender was very friendly and attentive.

I was introduced to the Leaky by a friend who referred to it as a hipster bar. He was mostly right. The Leaky usually has specials on PBR, and plays some off-the-beaten-path music, though music you’ve still heard of. They have a bunch of games in the back; both board and otherwise. I like to come here earlier in the night, before it gets super crowded, as it does, and try to grab a table in the back. The bartenders are okay. I recall having at least one rude bartender on occasion. They HATE when people don’t know what they want. They have a decent sized beer selection that usually has a few I’ve never heard of(which I view as a plus) along with some of the less common common beers like PBR and Stella that we all know but don’t ALWAYS see at bars. Prices are what you would expect for the area. Nothing notable in that department. You can order pizza from ZA and have it «delivered» I understand, though I’ve never tried. If you come here, definitely check out ZA before you leave. It’s pretty much the only other business you can walk(shamble) to, and they serve interesting pizza.

This bar is a good alternative for those who like Effin Gruven in Bellmore and The Black Sheep Ale House in Mineola. It’s not as busy as the other two, yet it boasts a fine selection of craft beers on draft. The music is also quite similar to what you’d find at the other too. I like that Leaky has a stage for live performances. I’d rate it 3.5 stars.

Leaky is my favorite local go to bar. I grew up in Seaford and when I first turned 21 there wasn’t many options. My friends and I typically went to Wantagh bars– complete«Bro» scene. Leaky marches to the beat of its own drum expect Bushwick type of dive bar in the middle of Long Island. Following them on IG you can find out what events/themes they have next. They have had video game night etc. The bartenders are great and never a long wait for service. They have a great selection of beers from Angry Orchard, Blood Orange, PBR($ 3)to higher end Delirium($ 8). Whenever I’m there I have a great time whether they have a DJ or it’s the jukebox. Keep up the good work.

LALALALEAKY! I love this place. Plain and simple. This is not your typical LI bud light bar that makes you cringe. There are no douchebags in Ed Hardy tshirts hanging around trying to «get it in.» There is much more of a Brooklyn/NYC kind of vibe going on here. Call it a diamond in the rough. Here’s what you can expect: Great music, friendly bartenders/staff, a solid beer selection, chill atmosphere, and lots of tattoos. To the owners of the Leaky Lifeboat… Thank you! You’ve created bar that makes me feel at home…

The Leaky has only been around since Feb 2011. I know this because they have a sign inside saying something along the lines of «Proudly serving PBR’s since…» you get the gist. It’s a fairly new establishment and has gained quite the crowd/popularity within those 2 years. They’re known for their reasonably priced beers and their atypical crowd… which is nice for a change. I’m in a list type of mood so I’ll break things down for you: –Beers: Let’s start out with the most important aspect. The alcohol! They have a good variety on tap and plenty in bottles/cans. They have $ 2.50PBR’s 24⁄7 if you enjoy them. My beer(I think it was German, the name unfortunately escapes me at the moment) was great too. –Food: They have a full menu and a partnership with next door’s ZA Pizza. COOLESTFEATURE: the pizza slot. They have a designated pizza slot where they pass food from place to place. The menu is in the bar and you can order with the bartenders. We got NUTELLAPIZZA. Nutella with toasted marshmellows on top. Yes you read that right. It was absolutely heavenly. Oh and Mac N’ Cheese pizza, yum yum yum. –Vibe: You’re not going to find your typical Lawn guy land crowd here. If I had to peg this place you’d find a more«hipster» crowd. Everyone is laid back and casual. They play the Black Keys, Beastie Boys and Cake. Great taste in music, need I say more? It’s nautical themed and very chill. No guidos allowed. *A few more things to note: –decent amount of seating both at the bar and in the back –they have a disco ball –dart board! –young crowd –jukebox What’s not to love? This place is great. What a nice change of scenery. And the people here are actually nice and willing to recommend beers. I’ll be back Leaky!

I visited at an off time just to have a drink and play darts and indeed I accomplished those two tasks. There was a decent selection of beers on tap to choose from and they had a non-electronic dart board(which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your knowledge level of darts games, lol). The place was pretty much empty so based on what others have written about the place, I’m tempted to return and see what it’s like when things are«happenin’.»

One of the best spots on LI. Too bad it’s far from me or i’d visit more! It’s a huge plus that they have awesome food next door & great beers on tap.

It’s a very fun place. On nights that are not Friday or Saturday you’ll find an interesting crowd. Some metal, some punk, some hip. Local musicians frequent this place. The jukebox has every song you can think of. On Sunday nights a friend of mine hosts a Retro Game Night. There are several tv’s with a different game system hooked up to each. You can bring your own games too. Something crazy always happens here on the weekends. And right next door is a great pizza place. You can put in an order while you’re inside the bar and they’ll pass it through a small window connecting the two places. Also has a foosball table. The bar is a little grungy, but that’s part of the charm.

This place is your average local bar, until around 9pm. They have a solid beer selection on tap, and great amount of cans/bottles to choose from. The staff is super friendly. Not to mention this is the one place you can escape the typical BRO vibe of Long Island. The music playing is also great everything from punk, pop, hardcore. metal, they really have it all. It’s also not bad on the wallet, the Leaky really keep prices low for the most part. Plus $ 2.50 PBRs all the time(yea its not the greatest beer but still). If your not looking to spend a lot this place makes that possible. Plus the bartenders seem to remember a little thing called by backs. A few drinks down and there’s one on the house. Keep in mind don’t go to this spot looking for anything fancy. Just a good place for some drinks with open minded people.

No. Do not like this place, its dirty. I had to pee in the men’s room, it was really freakin’ nasty. It was like. not cleaned at all and no one was really even there when I went. I’m of age. maybe thats why I have no interest in this place. and I’m not a hipster. So, Meh. Sorry to leave a poop review but I just was disappointed. Also, parking was crap. I’d rather go across the street to the beer distributer and drink with the guy who works there. Though — I will say prices are VERY fair. But. It’s still DIRTY!

I was dragged here one night and I kept thinking to myself, «Please, don’t let this place be filled with weird, perverted old men…» but no, to my surprise this bar was completely filled with hipsters! So with that being said, you can imagine the beer selection. «No Dos XX for me.» But they did have Stella and various different alternative beers as well as local ones. Very nice atmosphere, The Leaky Lifeboat offers various different games such as a Foosball table, dart boards, and a virtual arcade style bowling machine, the default music that’s played is GREAT(had most of my iTunes playlist) but the bar also has a modern day jukebox for your pleasure via payment. This is the bar to be at if you are in Long Island, I will be going back.

not really my kind of place but went for a friend’s birthday. drinks felt watered down which is never a good thing. I rather be charged $ 12 for a really strong drink then charged $ 5 or whatever for a watered down drink. in the long run you end up spending more for weak drinks then you’d spend for the strong drinks and you never get drunk.

This place is pretty cool. They have a really nice beer selection and a really friendly staff. There is a Vegan place next store that makes Vegan food for the bar patrons till about midnight. The Leaky Lifeboat’s regular menu is pretty good too! The music was really, really loud. Of course, I expect loud music at a bar, but I did find it to be overly loud the night we visited. It’s def a good place to have fun and be casual and enjoy some good beers! And if you’re vegan — BONUS!

This is a really cool bar that doesn’t have that douche-baggy long island meathead vibe. Theres great jukebox options and an awesome bar menu from the vegetarian spot next door. They actually serve the food through the wall! In other news they have big buck deer hunter. I’m vegetarian but damn do I love killing animated giraffes. They also have darts and i’m not 100% sure but i think they have a pool table. Great place.

How did this place reopen in February and I not know about it??! I guess because for the years I’ve been in the area it always looked like a YOUNG crowd. Thankfully my girlfriend dragged my bum out last night ensuring me I wouldn’t feel like a grandmother. I’m so happy she did as I now actually have a place to go get a drink in an establishment with great indie/punk rock(didn’t hear«Sweet Home Alabama», «sweet Caroline» or Lady Gaga once. Thank you Baby Jesus!), wide variety of cheap drinks(Magners Irish Cider yay!), Foosball, sik, attentive, friendly bartenders, kick ass owners and oh yeah, Phatsos right next door( ) ANDTHEYDELIVERTOTHEBAR so you can continue your trip into sweet inebriation. The crowd was surprisingly cool. It was like 1 part hipster, 1 part hardcore and of course 1 part douchebag. I felt like I was in Brooklyn. That was until I was reminded by some jackass Long Island kid who’s pick up line to my girlfriend and I «so which one of you is going to give me your number?» that I was, indeed still here. We got there at 10 and there were a few people but it really picked up around 11:30. I’m anticipating in the next few weeks that the crowd will be less douchy with the children going back to school. Shot to Have: Creamsicle– yeah, I drank 8 lol
