Absolutely love the concept of this place it’s so simple and the outcome is delicious! The oyster tastes fresh and good flavor on both étouffée and gumbo! Service was great, everything seems clean and organize. The only thing that I hate to complain about but have to mention is that I did order the crawfish étouffée and the crawfish was extremely over cooked and clearly not fresh at all… Kinda a disappointment but I’d still highly recommend to everyone!

For all of you who love the Gulf Coast cuisine, the bottom line is that Ocean Trail is the best restaurant in the Valley. It’s the MOST flavorful, the MOST fresh and the MOST friendly environment to enjoy a specially prepared seafood meal. EVERYTHING is good on the menu!

This place has the best seafood and the best chef, her name is Tip. She is very friendly with the guests. I highly recommend the Etouffé or the pan fry. Combo on both with dirty rice!

Oceans trail, hands down, is a treasure in the desert! The seafood is extremely fresh and prepared like nothing else in the Southwest. It all starts with Tipp and her amazing staff and passion she brings to this great cuisine. Thank you Tipp for all you do and bring toTalking Stick! We will see you real soon. Yummo.

This is some of the best seafood around. If you like spicy food, ask for Tipp’s sauce. Great flavored, fresh seafood and a great bang for your buck. Have been back almost weekly since we discovered it

The best Seafood Creole I’ve had. Their food serving is big enough for sharing. Although the food is good, it’s not recommended for families just because it’s inside the casino and it’s very small unlike other restaurants.

This place is amazing. The food flat out kills it. Yes it is small venue, get over it. Yes you will probably have to wait, it completely worth it. The staff is awesome and watching Tipp man the flying-saucer looking cooking apparatuses is really fun as well. They have a unique concept and they have perfected it. I have been here 12+ times and I have never been disappointed. I recommend sitting at the bar, the tables do border the casino floor so I wouldn’t want to sit there. It would make for interesting people watching though…

Oh my gosh! This place is a seafood dream come true. The shrimp cocktails are phenomenal! And the oysters… oh wow those marvelous little creatures were great. The gumbo was thick and the étouffée was perfectly spiced. It’s kind of a strange place for a restaurant but we didn’t have to wait long. Plus $.25 machines close by and some good beers and friends make for a complete night.

The oysters were delicious and my boyfriend and I sat there and tried to eat as many as we could but even then we didn’t even hit the $ 175 ticket bill. The place is crazy small. Picture one bar and 5⁄7 tables around it. Yeah that small. The wait staff makes up for it as they were very sweet and pleasant. I was that annoying brat that needed her phone charged. And they took it from me and had one of their cooks charge it. Thus why I have no pictures sorry Unilocalers! The clam chowder wasn’t as marvelous as Boston or San Francisco but still good consider you are in a land lock state. All in all try it if you are in the area and if you are their around opening time so you can grab a seat without the wait.

Delicious! This restaurant is tucked inside the casino but it doesn’t detract from the experience– you get to people watch as you eat. At least we did… The portions were very large, enough to last for two more meals. Hubby and I ordered Seafood Creole and Crawfish Étouffée. The spice level 1 did the trick– it was a nice kick in the mouth but not to the point where my mouth felt like lava. The seafood was fresh and very very tasty. One thing that threw me off a little was when some of the crab pieces had shell, but I got over it. I would definitely return to this place.

Came here with 3 others on Saturday night and it was about a 15 minute wait. The setting wasn’t what I imagined; it’s in a corner along the casino, strung off with those fancy VIP ropes. We ordered oysters, clam chowder, clams in a beer/white wine broth, and some cocktails. The oysters had such a clean taste and my guests raved about the clam chowder. The clams had too much of a beer taste for my liking, but I drink very little — everyone else loved it. Service was great as well. Would definitely come again.

Well, this was our first trip here and I must give them credit… The gumbo with chicken is really good and we got good service from our server as well. Not the cheapest please but normalized expensive either… A good spot for a date…

Who would have thought that this gem would be hidden inside the Talking Stick Casino. It was a chilli and rainy evening and my husband was craving crawfish étouffée. I’ve rarely had Louisiana style cooking so I was ready to go. I was super happy we came here. We ordered a shrimp cocktail to share and the combo étouffée. WOWWOWWOW. It was so spicy and we ordered level 3 spicy. Everything though was super fresh and tasty. We sat belli up and the bar to see them make our dishes with their fresh spices. Husband was super full and happy and he said this restaurant made our roster. This means we will be coming back a lot sooner for some more yummy goodness.

We just happened to be hungry as we saw this restaurant, so in we went. Our experience was great and made better by our server, can’t recall her name but was awesome. I had the Combo Gumbo, 7 on the spicy level and it was delicious. Wifey had the Chicken Caesar and it was a hit as well. Our friend had the Shrimp ÉTOUFFÉE and loved every bite. Great little place and recommend.

Got in for dinner pretty easy considering it was a Saturday night and the casino was packed. I’m guessing everyone already ate and the rest were getting ready for the night out. I was greeted quickly and brought a menu and water over. After seeing some of my neighbors dishes, it was an easy choice for me: I ordered the combo pan roast. The server asked me how spicy I wanted the dish… they use a scale of 1 – 10! So that makes it kind of hard to decide… so I just went for a 7. Chose dirty rice! Spicy & Dirty! The dish was huge! It was loaded with all kinds of goodies… plenty of shrimp to make anyone happy. BTW… a 7 is not that spicy. I had to add a little more spice from the sauces they have at the ready. Along with a nice glass of white wine, this is an almost perfect meal. Definitely coming back.

(Lyrics — The Beach Boys — Surfer Girl) Yummy seafood at Ocean Trail Made my belt come all undone Would you serve me would you Ocean Trail Ocean Trail my little Ocean Trail I have watched you from the floor Standing by the casino’s roar Would you serve me would you Ocean Trail Ocean Trail my little Ocean Trail Ocean Trail is located in the heart of Talking Stick Casino. Overall, it’s crazy lines, smokers passing by, and gamblers galore! I didn’t really care for the openness of this place as patrons of the casino were strolling by. I didn’t wait at all since my family were here waiting for sometimes to get a table for us. I ordered the Seafood Platter appetizer while my sister and I shared the Pan Roast Crab. The appetizer came with 4 oysters and shrimps along with several mussels and clams. Overall, I thought it was pretty good for being in a dessert. For the price of $ 39 I guess in a sense it was well priced. Overall, the freshness is the best it can be for being in a desert. The Pan Roast Crab was pretty good. Spicy as it should be but for me it lacked some texture. If they added some beans or providing some crunch it would have been better. Ocean Trail is definitely a popular spot in the casino, however if you were to first introduce me to Cajun/Creole food this would have been an atrocity. Needless to say, there didn’t seem to be a trained chef to provide the love. In the end, if you needed a quick Cajun food fix this place will do just fine. — Enjoy!

PANROAST! Get it! I usually go to Vegas to get the pan roast at the Oyster Bar in Palace Station. Why else would you go to an old dumpy, off the strip casino like Palace Station?! The place is tiny with very limited seating and long waits when it gets busy, but it’s all worth it. To my surprise, the Pan roast at Ocean Trail is absolutely comparable to the one in Vegas and now that’s one less place I absolutely have to stop by when I go to Vegas! Pro-Tip: You love crab? I mean REALLY love crab? like a MOUTHFUL of crab? don’t order the freakin combo. That shrimp and other stuff will break up the crab texture! Get the CRAB panroast! enjoy the gobs and gobs of crabby goodness! I spent years getting the combo until someone suggested to just get crab. changed my life! You get more crab in place of all that other stuff, which is still good and all… but, CRAB!

OCEANTRAIL at the Talking Stick Resort was the bomb! I stayed at TSR for four days for business and ended up eating at Ocean Trail twice! I had the Combo Gumbo on the first visit, and I had the Seafood Creole the second time. Both times I had it with dirty rice and both meals were off the hook! One thing to remember, their food is fricken HOT!!! They ask you scale of 0 – 10 how hot you like it. I had the gumbo at 7 and was sweating and my nose was running like a faucet. So the next time I went down to a 5, and it was still bringing the major heat. And I like spice… I noticed they’ve been winning awards for their seafood, so it is definitely a hot spot in Scottsdale. Highly recommended! 4.5 stars!

We love this restaurant/bar. If we lived closer we would patronize it more often. This time we had the Pan Roast Combo and Pan Roast Crab. My heat index was 2 which wasn’t bad at all. They were pretty generous with all the different types of seafood. My wife loved the Pan Roast Crab. She really enjoyed the flavors. We topped off our meal with Blood Orange Gelato. Well, it’s not quite the creamy version of gelato, more like shaved ice. But, it was refreshing. The cook gave my wife a Christmas ornament made from used menus, what a great gift.
