Avion on Legacy

Happy to update this review on a positive note. The past few months have been pretty good around here. A new manager who smiles. another new staff member who smiles AND says hello. the angry one seems less angry, and the trash situation is back under control.3 stars means A-​OK, and that’s what I’m now saying about Avion On Legacy… They are A-​OK.

Been living here since February 2015. At first, management was amazing and the place was like living at a resort. It’s still a great place with a nice pool, right off the freeway, new construction, etc.
However, where the old management was AMAZING, it’s as though the new management goes out of their way to make residents feel like shit. With previous management, the girls in the office were ALWAYS a pleasure. They would go out of their way to address issues and were extremely friendly and flexible.
Now (March 2016), the current management are extremely rude, inflexible, unfriendly, unsocial and to put it in 3^rd-​grade terms, just plain old MEAN! Can anyone tell these people SMILES ARE FREE. I have never seen dirty looks given out so liberally and without reason. When you make any request, they make you feel like crap.
Once our lease is over, we’ve already committed to another complex. I suggest that anyone considering this place just asks current residents, in person, what they think of the management. It’s amazing how much management’s attitude has put a damper on the whole experience.
We pay well over $ 1,500/month for our rent — where we’re from, they call that a mortgage payment. I only bring it up to highlight the fact that living here isn’t cheap. You would think that something as FREE as a kind attitude and not being so COLD all the time would have been part of the package.
Management continues to treat residents as children (or elders in a nursing home). They are constantly referring to «lease provisions» when enforcing (or creating) the most arbitrary rules. I wish Simpson Property Group (owner) would hear our cries. For our family, it’s too little too late as we’ve already decided to move out.
Lastly, alot of what has been described here on Unilocal by others is true. There WAS a murder in one of the units (ask Scottsdale PD). There HAS BEEN multiple incidents of car/​garage thefts.
All of this is why they have deleted their facebook page — they couldn’t keep up with the residents posting complains about new management and other issues. It’s also why they changed their name from «Jefferson on Legacy» to «Avion on Legacy». They also deleted their Google Maps page because of the bad reviews posted there (it was recently re-​added by a resident but all the reviews are obviously not there.

Well all these other Unilocal reviews are spot on I don’t know what else I could possibly add, but I still had to chime in :) because this place as been DOWNGRADED since Simpson Housing bought this complex!
If you are into social media and you are looking at renting here, you could be wondering why this is THE ONLY business in 2016 without a Facebook page, well I have the answer for you… And it’s pretty funny:
Residents were sick of not getting answers when going to the office or writing emails so we all took to Facebook and they started by blocking real residents leaving factual correct reviews and messages. When those that got blocked made up other facebook names and called them out they completely removed their Facebook page so perspective residents wouldn’t see what a crapieeeeee place they would be renting from.
Another thing I guess I should add is when there’s thefts and break ins, management never sends out letters or emails alerting residents! I don’t know about you but I would appreciate it. Lucky thing we all talk to each other.
I nominate Simpson Housing as the property manager of the new projects of North Scottsdale!

When we first move here it was wonderful. Once the property was sold and new management in place all has gone south rather quickly. I have read all the previous one star reviews and they are all spot on. The only thing to add is this:
Coach roaches! Called Simpson Management Thursday, March 17^th to report the issue. Was told there isn’t a pest control on site and that our name would be added to the list for the following Tuesday. That is just two days shy of a week. Also asked if they would have maintenance to help catch and remove the coach roach, sorry no! This complex is advertised as luxury living, maybe for the roaches.

This place is absolutely amazing. I love the fact that this is a brand new complex so you are the first to try everything. When I walk into my place or The complex I get this amazing new smell. The grounds are beautiful and they aren’t even finished yet. I can’t imagine how they will look when the whole community is settled. The staff here treat you great they do not forget about you after you sign a lease or give you attitude when they are having a bad day. So far it’s been nothing but smiles and good vibes. The pool and recreational area are new (resort style) I love the gym because it has just about everything you need to get in a good work out session. They constantly have events where you get a chance to meet neighbors and get a better idea of what’s around you. Since I’ve moved in I honestly have no complaints at all and that is not an easy task. I am one of the types of people that likes to get what I pay for and honestly this place gives you every penny’s worth.
If a tree is hanging over the sidewalk it is trimmed before I even have a chance to complain. The location is conveniently located right off the 101 you can either exit Scottsdale road or take Hayden for a better scenic rout witch I love when I’m headed east you get an amazing view of the McDowell mountains. Over all this place is amazing and has a great welcoming feeling to it. If you are looking for a place to live in this area I have tried many and so far this is the best. Truly not comparable to any apartment complex in the area. Keep up the good work Jefferson I give you two thumbs up!!!

The staff is extremely friendly and fun to work with. The residents living here so far are great and a pleasure getting to know. The highlights I love about this community are the amenities offered such as the Starbucks coffee maker, game room, and golf simulator! This is by far the best apartment community I have ever lived in.
