Wonderful community resource with fantastic children’s programs. It is evident that all library staff are thoroughly committed to the literacy of Scotch Plains and Fanwood youth.

I am assessed an outrageous $ 277 per year in property taxes just to fund the operating budget of this, my community public library. I get little benefit, because I don’t borrow books. I do love music, but, unfortunately, their collection of compact discs is small and pathetic. To add insult to injury, when I offered to donate a substantial number of CD’s from my personal collection, the director dismissively turned me down. Even if she couldn’t be bothered to put them out for loan, she could have accepted them and held them aside for their semi-annual fund-raising book sale. I am annoyed that my taxes pay this lazy woman’s salary. So, I gave my CD’s to the awesome Cranford library, who are always looking to bolster their impressive collection, and were happy to take them.
