We were replacing our deck railings and had gotten three estimates. Marcin was the last contractor to come out on December 1, 2015. He was the least expensive of the three and we did the contract with him.
On December 22^nd he came out an finished the job in the one day. The railings came out great and he cleaned up all the debris and leftover lumber.
I would definately hire him again for any other project I might need to complete.

My husband and I bought our first house last year and had a few projects that needed professional help. We called Unique Carpentry Services and left a voicemail. Marcin got back to us within the hour and was very helpful with all of our questions. We scheduled a time for an estimate in our house. Shortly after that, he e-​mailed a proposal with the break down of each project as requested.
He did a fantastic job with the custom interior trim that I gave him a picture of. It actually turned out better than the photo. We had him install some doors, repair tiles in the master bath, and patch/​paint a few rooms.
Overall, it was a great experience to work with someone who actually works with you.
We could not be happier with the end result. Highly recommended!!!

Marcin is really great. I found him on Unilocal and he deserves his rating. I received a laundry list of repairs that I needed to complete on a townhouse I own in the burbs from the HOA. I live in the city and have a tenant in the townhouse. Marcin talked with me about what needed to be done, went out and looked at everything and then emailed me his quotes. He then kept me informed as to his progress, taking pictures of his work and checking in with me by phone to let me know when he was done. I appreciated his responsiveness and that he did not need to me to go out there and hold his hand. He explained in detail what he did, why he thought it should be done that way and even suggested less expensive ways to get the job done. He did a lot of work for a reasonable price and the quality of his work is excellent. I highly recommend him.

Marcin does fabulous work. He is a perfectionist and it shows. We have had him complete five jobs for us over the past year: (1) repairing interior water damage to a celling; (2) reconstructing two of our decks; (3) removing and installing a new exterior door; and (4) remodeling our roof deck. Marcin took the time to go over the process in detail and took our concerns into consideration. In particular, we did not want to waste materials when reconstructing two of our decks. Marcin saved as many deck boards as he could, replacing them with new boards only when necessary, which saved us money.
One of the best things about Marcin is that he is incredibly responsive to phone calls and emails. Also, he treated our home like his home… perpetually cleaning up after himself and leaving no trace that he was there when I got home from work.
In designing our roof deck, Marcin and I worked very well together. He listened intently to how I wanted the deck designed and constructed and in response offered up solutions and ideas that fit precisely with my vision. Not only is Marcin a talented carpenter, he also has a great eye for design, which helps when you are looking to save money and already have a design in mind. He told me he would bring me three options for decking material, and instead brought me seven, all at different price points.
The work Marcin does looks EXPENSIVE. As previously noted, he is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. He truly cares about each and every project he works on and his work product is definitely a reflection of who he is as a person. He is always striving to complete the job to your satisfaction. He and his work are excellent. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
