Kids breakfast is rather boring and the bacon was very greasy. The menu has no prices so we ordered without realizing how tiny the portion for the power flats are(assuming we could have figured out the size based on price). Didn’t like the flavor of the coffee and not sure(1) that my cappuccino was actually one and(2) that it was in fact decaf. Only positive was the chicken apple sausage which was pretty good.

Great lunch place with fresh sandwiches and homemade soups. Ordered at the counter and they brought to our table. Had a chicken noodle soup which was pretty tasty also had a toasted hand carved turkey with bacon lettuce and avocado in whole grain which was a hearty sandwich. Enjoyed our lunch here near Woodfield mall y

Ambiance — great classic décor with revolving door. Tiled floors, beautiful wood everywhere, tall ceilings. It looks like a place that’s been there for 50 years. I was very warmly greeted by the staff member who took my order, and she helped me by explaining some of the menu items. The food: I got the breakfast panini with eggs/cheese/bacon/avocado. The sourdough bread was great; buttered and toasted perfectly. The whole sandwich was delicious. The only caveat(and this is a pet peeve of mine) is that the amount of avocado was pretty scant. The two small slivers on my sandwich were just above the level of garnish. But it didn’t matter too much — like I said, it was very tasty. The potatoes and onions were awesome. Coffee — far above average. Will be coming back!

Corner Bakery is one of my favorite casual chains for salads, sandwiches, soups and especially their desserts. From location to location their food is consistent and their customer service has always been above average. This review is based on a recent catering order I placed for work. I ordered 2 large salads, 2 soup jugs, 20 mini sandwiches, a fruit plate and a dessert plate. The food was perfectly prepared(soup was piping hot and flavorful, salad was cold, fruit was fresh) and the mini sandwiches are a perfect size for lunchtime. Their desserts are also done in a «mini» size and they’re so delicious. I frequently place orders for large(15+) groups of people and CB is hands down the best food, portion size and the most well received meal that I continue to order. Aside from the food, the manager who assisted me was extremely helpful-she brought the food to my car and offered me a coffee while I waited. I will definitely continue to order from CB for personal and professional purposes and was very impressed with this particular location!

Thank you Corner Bakery for charging my credit card 4 times for my ONE transaction. Now I have to go thru the process of disputing the transaction. How inconvenient!!!

It’s been a long time since I have been in a Corner Bakery. They are popular in the city of Chicago, but not many locations in the suburbs. This place reminds of another Panera Bread or Potbelly kind of place so you already know my drift. Expect to spend around minimum 10.00 for a meal. I had the café size Mac and Cheese which is a big bowl plus drink. I gave it four stars because I think it did not give a lot of choices. But good service and very clean. It’s worth a shot going. I am a Subway/Quiznos guy so this place is not a bad place to go too.

Stopped at a Corner Bakery Café this past weekend and I must say that I was impressed! The food came out piping hot, it was delicious, and the service was great. It was my first visit and they made a great first impression. Very similar in atmosphere, type of food, and pricing to a Panera, but overall, a great experience. Would definitely go back.

Went last night, had the Cuban Press Panini and the Sirracha Blakc Bean Soup. Both were very tasty, and fresh, even though it was towards closing time. Even though it was close to closing, I did not feel rushed. The staff was very freindly. A definate plus.

Back in the area and tried this location again. Food and service were good. WiFi still unusable. Although a busy lunchtime crowd, other establishments can figure out how to provided WiFi that can handle a few customers without coming to it’s knees. Management still not addressing this ongoing issue.

CBC, oh how I heart thee. On our monthly trip to Chicago it’ll be a given I need to stop at this Corner Bakery Café for my fix. Because we are in town for work, CBC is the perfect quick, In-N-Out breakfast spot for us. ‘My’ breakfast consists of the crave worthy chilled Swiss oatmeal. Without fail, this is what I order every single time. Oats, yoghurt, fresh banana, apple and raisins all mixed together and served with a crispy slice of sugared bread. Deeeelicious. To top it off, I order a slice of lemon pound cake to go. Because, obviously! I usually don’t do sweet breakfasts, you will make me happiest with a plate full of eggs and potatoes. I’ll up you one, CBC has AVOCADO on the breakfast menu and I still order the(non savory) oatmeal. I’ll let you ponder that one… yup, it’s that’s good. Me saying ‘no’ to avocado is like the Kardashians turning down publicity. It just doesn’t happen. On the flipside, he orders the commuter croissant; a warm croissant with cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon. Typically this is combined with a hand held pie or a couple of rugelachs and hazelnut coffee. I will have to come her for lunch some day, the menu is chock-full with paninis, soups and salads that sound amazing. For those of you that don’t know, CBC is like Chicago’s answer to the Panera/St Louis bread Co craze the remainder of the Midwest is stuck in.

Excellent soup and half sandwich combo. Love love the chicken orzo soup and uptown turkey sandwich with yummy avocado. Extremely difficult to find a place to sit as it’s a small space with lots of eat-in traffic. Probably best to take your goods on the go.

I’ve been here twice, both on a weekend(Saturday during lunch hours). Absolutely NO parking spots during that time. I had to park by Dick’s. Corner Bakery is connected to Maggiano’s, which could explain the terrible parking situation since they share the same lot. You can valet your car for $$, but I’d rather save my $$ and get the exercise. Gotta burn off those carbs! My go-to menu item is the half-and-half, chicken tortilla soup and California Grille Panini sandwich. It comes with a pickle and your choice of chips or carrots. I opted for the chips because I felt like pigging out. Both are pretty good for a chain restaurant. The service seems to be consistently decent at Corner Bakery. Friendly staff, quick to get our food, keeps the restaurant clean. Be wary if you sit outside at this location! Birds like to hang here and eat the crumbs. On my most recent visit, there was one persistent bird that was determined to get some of my friend’s food(I was already done eating at that time). He was hopping towards us, on the floor, on the chair, on the table. Even with me shooing him away, he kept coming back. We moved to another table, and I left my plate and dish there. The bird ate some of it and then came to our table again! Finally, we just had to sit inside because my friend was freaked out by the bird. In the end, bird — 1, us — 0. Come here outside of peak hours if you can, and say hi to the bird for me!

I’ve been to the Corner for breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was years ago and there isn’t really one near us now. I’ve moved to a new office and there is one right down the street. On a freezing day we decided we would stop in for lunch to grab soup and salad. We had no idea it would look like a blizzard outside when we left to go pick up our lunches! I choose the Trio — Soup & Salad with the Mozzarella Tomato Arugula Salad, the Cavatappi Pasta Salad, and the New England Clam Chowdah. I must say that I was quite impressed with my choice and Corner’s lunches! The salads were nicely seasoned and didn’t taste like just salads. The chowdah had a hint of bacon flavor! Ok, so it wasn’t classic, but it was so good! The other girls loved their choices as well and there wasn’t one bit of soup or salad left!

My friend and I met for a late breakfast date here. After we ordered and found a table, our food came out promptly. We both enjoyed our breakfasts. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and we were able to chat without too much background noise. Plus we could refill our coffee when we downed the first cup. The large windows let in a lot of sun which was perfect for a chilly winter morning! The service was pretty good, my only complaint is that when we went up to order the woman running the register keep trying to get the attention of someone behind us and it was… distracting when I was trying to order.

My favorite sandwich anywhere used to be the turkey frisco, but they don’t make it anymore & I’ve yet to find a replacement that satisfies me the same. It’s decent but its almost a let down every times I go.
