How this place is still in business is beyond me. Just had lunch for the first time here today. Szechuan tofu and chicken with rice, a hot and sour soup and chicken spring rolls set me back 28.00 The food was soupy and flavorless. We couldn’t even eat it it was so bad. The soup had a good flavor but it was basically just broth with a couple of strings of bamboo. Spring rolls were ok. I’ve had comparable versions from the freezer aisle of a grocery store. Rest assured I will never eat here again. Literally every other Asian restaurant in the area has better food than this place.

One of the wost meals I had in a while! Disgusting food — will never be back! All salt and onions — no meet or any trace of asian kitchen.

It’s a great idea however, the noodles being cold is weird. They also need more sauce options. Even soy sauce would be nice. My bowl was pretty bland.

I totally agree that they match up to your spice levels but that’s about it. Everything else abt this restaurant disappointed me! Soups are supposed to be served hot but the one we ordered was not even close to warm and was so watery. The paneer appetizer was nasty! It was so dry and the paneer required good efforts to chew as it was so hard. The entrée had bell peppers tht were chopped and cooked with their stickers on. I even found hair in it. The service sucks… the staff isn’t trained well. They goof up the orders, give somebody else’s order on somebody else’s table, take hell lot of time to take an order and yes, at the table, you need to have patience because your food is gonna take good time to come to you :(

I don’t agree with many of the low scoring reviews here. The food is always good and the staff is very friendly. We come here on a regular basis because of the great food that is always fresh and tasty! This is NOT a Full service restaurant. More like an upscale fast food, with the exception that the food is of the highest quality ad healthy. My wife and daughter are healthy eater and this is one of their favorites! Keep up the good work!

Nestled in a strip mall behind a Wendy’s this place is a real treat. Clean dining room, friendly staff, and freshly made cuisine. I usually have to add spice of soy to my Asian dishes, but the Generals Tso chicken didn’t need a thing. Highly recommended you try this small independent Asian diner.

I will give 4 stars for food and 5 stars for staff(2 poor souls who work their rear off) and 3 stars for ambience and 1 star for their business model. Come on owners, you are going to run this place to the ground if you keep the check in and servicing model like this. There’s literally one guy running around attending all the tables. Used plates and stuff are on the table for more than an hour(I had to stay for 1.5 hours to check in and check out). For food the waiting was like 1 hour. Please you have put so much investment in this place. Do not run it to the ground.

This is the kind of food you get in Woodfield mall. Fairly«Americanized». Small portions/high price. I came in for lunch today on SUNDAY12 noon. The place was empty. I tried two entrees & added the $ 3 for crab Rangoon & soup. Rangoons appeared to have fake crab in them, but I got two small squares. They forgot the soup but by this point how could I care? The Shrimp Tobjan had a lot of garlic which I give points for. The vegetable Singapore noodle was nice but no real curry bang. No egg. roasted/burnt peppers make my day, but ultimately this too was overpriced at $ 7. I ate everything that was present except for the rice bowl. I felt $ 18.95 was excessive for no doggie bag.

For such horrible food, one would think that they would at least be polite. Everything they serve looks like slop, The fountain drink machine was not working and they still sold me a fountain drink and have a problem refunding my money, save your money and go to panda express! no i did not finish my food! I became frustrated when I told the employee about the soda machine, and she replied«we know» in which I told her why would she charge me for it, when she knew it was not working properly. Again I did finish my food, let alone make a dent in it!

Love this place! Food is amazing and always served hot and fresh. It can be a bit spicy for those who are not used to eating spicy food. However, you can always request the level of spice you want. The portions are big enough to share or eat alone depending upon how hungry your are. The atmosphere is casual and the place is always kept clean. Must try this place!!!

I this place as this is just near to our home, taste is good. Like an authentic indo Chinese food. However the person taking order always seems very unfriendly. Moreover quantity is less for the amount they are taking.

The vegetables tasted like they were frozen, the shrimp weren’t good either. It was a waste of my money.

Nice staff but the food is pretty basic and it took quite a while to come out. Décor is very basic café style. Nothing to make me go back even as someone eating in the area quite often.

I’m always excited for a new place to open in my hood… but Asian Kitchen isn’t going to cut it. Many others have named the many better places in the area and they speak the truth. Asian Kitchen recently opened and is nicely redone with a nice, clear menu up front. The fun stops there. My friend and I gave it a go but weren’t exactly greeted when we walked in. Just awkwardly stood looking at the menu while the guy walked up to the register and awkwardly stood in front of us. He took my order then gave me my change with one hand in his pocket. He was nice enough but his completely lackadaisical attitude put me off. After taking our orders he went to the kitchen and cooked our orders. They were then brought out to us and I must say, the portions are small for the expensive prices. I had the orange chicken and wasn’t impressed with the rather liquidy sauce over the grilled chicken pieces. It wasn’t horrible, completely edible and I ate i… but I left still hungry and unsatisfied. When we left a girl sitting down in a booth with her legs up said bye & thanked us for coming. I absolutely appreciate being thanked for the business but again such a lethargic attitude. I won’t be back to Asian Kitchen with so many other good options nearby and I’m sorry to say, this place will not last.

The spring rolls were the tiny variety you get thirty to the bag in the frozen section of the supermarket, and at $ 3.50 for three, a complete ripoff. The Szechuan beef was a strange concoction, with zero actual Szechuan spices discernible, and an overabundance of green peppers. The white rice was overcooked. First and last visit!

I would say the food over here is a mix of Indian and Chinese. The dishes are quite hot! I tried a bunch of options between my 2 visits over here. In soups, I tried Manchow and Tomato Ginger. Manchow was ok. I have had better Manchow soups. Tomato Ginger was something different. Kind of Veg Clear soup with tomato cubes and ginger wedges. I liked it. In appetizers, I tried american corn pepper salt. It probably was deep fried corn kernels garnished with pepper and salt. It was ok. Pan Fried Chilly Paneer was really nice and quite hot, Indian hot. In entrees I tried Paneer in Szechwan sauce and Cauliflower Manchurian in Manchurian sauce. I liked both the dishes. The fried rice was nice as well. The ambiance is quite nice and modern. Prices are quite less.

Good Indo Chinese food. Very spicy. Had Szhezuan chicken and it was very good. Pan fried Paneer was also very good. Reasonable prices, this place is a better choice compared to Bombay Chopsticks

Amazing indo-chinese!!! The price is very reasonable! The food even better compared to the other indo-chinese restaurant in the area! The ambiance is very casual… Just a note — spicy is very spicy so I would go for medium/mild spicy. My fiancé and I loved the vegetarian medallions in Manchurian sauce and the fiery paneer! DELISHLUNCH!

An outstanding Asian cuisine for the price they give you! Very warm atmosphere and great staff that works there made sure I had an awesome experience. Their Mongolian beef is a must try. They provide plenty of vegetarian options as well which I think is brilliant.
