Henry’s Barber Shop

This was the place I went as a child and young man. Came back because my usual hair stylist was on vacation. Jay did a great job cutting my summer-​growth hair in preparation for a job interview. Place still rocks… they gave me back a Frisbee I left there in 1976.

For years I went to a different barbershop and got a hair cut that I thought was just ok. Since I started to going to Henry’s a few months ago, I’ve been much happier. Call ahead and make an appointment with Jay. He doesn’t rush through your haircut or shave and it’s very reasonable. Highly recommend Henry’s!

Great barber shop, but pro tip don’t go when they are busy. And don’t Ever let Janise touch your hair. Ever! She should just sweep the floors lol but seriously don’t do it. You have been warned

I’ve come to Henry’s twice now for a haircut and I will keep coming back for as long as I live in the area. It feels like you’re stepping back into the 1930s with the décor, and as a family run business it’s got a great vibe. The barbers are friendly and do nice work. Today I had a men’s haircut, beard trim, and shave (with hot lather and a straight razor) and it was quite the enjoyable experience.

I have been a customer of Henry’s Barber Shop for close to 20 years and I wouldn’t want to go to anyone else! It’s a family run business where the service is always exceptional and I always feel that when I walk in I may be tired and haggard looking, but when either Jay or Justin have finished working their magic, I feel years younger and I’m rejuvenated. And according to my wife, I look pretty darn good (she is only referring to my haircuts)! Recently I began growing a beard and I am loving the hot towel treatment that I’m getting every time I come in for a trim! These barbers know what they are doing and having their expertise at work on my face and my hair keeps me feeling fantastic.
I highly recommend Henry’s Barber Shop to anyone who values the way they look!

I’ve been here a few times and I am done. Hair cuts are not great. It is hit or miss. I had a cut by justin and it was a total mess. Not the quality of service that they used to be.

Best place for a haircut in scarsdale. Call ahead or else youll be waiting a while! Avoid Ceaser, hes a very nice guy but my girlfriend shouldnt have to re-​line my neck after paying for a haircut.

If Im in need of a haircut in town, this is the spot. Similar to the old school barber shops from days of yore. A great hot shave and a simple, well executed haircut is what I expect and what Henry’s has always delivered.

Henry’s is a Scarsdale institution; with history and a vibe that is unmatched in the area. They are clearly breathing new life into the place; they got rid of the weak hair cutters and painted the place. It’s lively and more contemporary.
Jay and Justin, the father and son team, are the busiest barbers in the shop. All of them are good. They give a good shave and are great with kids.

They used to give me a decent haircut at an reasonable price. Beware though, while some barbers at Henry’s were alright, there was one guy (an older man on the last seat) who was notorious for cutting hair diagonally, and giving crooked haircuts. Henry’s was hit or miss, but everyone goes here.
