Came here with co-workers for the first time a couple months ago, and this is a cute and quaint little lunch spot. The menu offers a variety of options for every palette, and the service is fairly quick. It seems to be very popular, as I have been back another time since my initial visit and it was just as busy as the first. Highly recommend.

Took my Aunt from California there and it was an amazing find to say the least! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with sweet potato fries and she ordered the Blackened Salmon Salad and loved it. The service was amazing and it was refreshing to finally find a place where I could order cranberry juice with my dinner. It’s a nice place to hang out and spend time with family and friends and has a great atmosphere. Keep up the good work 5 Spot!

I have read a few of the reviews and decides, heck its about time that I do my review. I found this place by word of mouth and I am most certainly glad I did. I have yet to venture to far into the menu because i normally go on lunch and definitely don’t want to have that sleepy time set in while im back at work. We all know how that goes. Good food + full stomach = nap time. The menu is awesome. Like I said, i cant comment on to muc of it because I havent tried to many things but the gyro and the white truffle oil fries are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Scales if 1 – 5 Appearance — 5. Love it reminds of a place that should be in a heavy metropolitan area but cost way more. Service — 4. Depending on when you go it may take you a minute to get your food. The avergare wait for me at lunch is about 15 to 20 minutes. Food quality — 5. Pretty dang amazing. I love it so far. I will add reviews for what I eat as i try more things. As for right now though. The WHITETRUFFLEOILFRIES! yes! Price– 4. Not to expensive. Spend about 10 bucks for a real. good lunch :)

Had dinner with the wife here last night. Smoked chicken wings and Mac n cheese were on point. Wife had a tasty burger. We sat at the bar. Bartenders were super friendly and prompt. The check didn’t break the bank either. Great local place.

Great variety on the menu, so it makes it a good place for lunch or dinner. We first ordered fried green tomatoes and either of us didn’t care for them. I had a gyro with truffle fries and both were fantastic! My friend had the Greek salad and I wasn’t impressed. It was your average Greek salad with a big price tag. The service was decent. I do enjoy the upscale diner feel this place has and the quality of the food. ORDERTHETRUFFLEFRIES!

Stopped for a late lunch in between kids’ soccer games. Casual and great little menu. Adults liked it. Kids liked it. We were probably the least hipster people there, and the staff couldn’t have cared less. Polite and prompt service, good bar, and really nice food. Glad we found such a nice place in a less well known part of Savannah.

Love it. Clearly marketed as it is what it is. No pretension which is what Savannah restaurants are good at and if you are situated in Habersham village across the street from Punch and Judy you can’t throw up neon and gang signs. That’s why I dig this place, good vibes from the honest staff, quirky atmosphere, good food and basically everything that you won’t from a hipster gastropub without the hipsters. Wait, maybe I’m one too. Shut up and drink.

This place is quite a find on Habersham near the Hospital. The service and atmosphere are nice and there is a since of uniqueness in the decorations and the bar setting. The appetizers and dips are all great so try your best to decide on one or two. The sweet potato waffle fries definitely hit the spot and the entrees and burgers will do it for you. Lunch or dinner, this place will be worth it!

Food is good, with a great bar/comfort food menu. Atmosphere encourages friends and conversation. What will prevent my return is the service. We sat for almost 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us and began serving. During dinner our waitress was attentive, pleasant, and friendly. Once the last plate was cleared we never saw her again. As I write this I am pushing 20 minutes and two requests for the check. Won’t be back here again.

Thankfully after arriving late in Savannah this place was about the only thing opened after 10 pm. I was extremely pleased with the service and food. I completely recommend The 5 Spot and definitely try the Shrimp and Grits!

I’ve been here quite a few times since it opened, and every single time, without fail, the service is awful. As a local, I want to like this place, and the food is pretty good, I will say, but the service kills the experience every time. I’ve never had the same server twice, but each had the same«hate my life and this job» air about them. Kinda makes me wonder about the management. Anyway, if you are planning to hit happy hour and tie one on, you probably won’t notice the crappy service. But if you are going to come with family or friends and want to enjoy a nice evening with drinks and dinner, I would suggest going elsewhere.

On one of our many outings to Savannah, mom and I ducked off into the cutest restaurant. The 5 Spot Neighborhood Kitchen & Bar is located in Habersham Village. We almost missed this jewel because of my little brat’s insistence on going on River Street to eat but I’m glad I put my foot down. :o) On first sight, this restaurant has a very cool and trendy look to it. The exposed brick and silver accents make for very interesting surroundings and we found ourselves looking at the artwork/décor more than the menu. Ultimately we had to be reminded by our friendly waitress to look at the menu so we could order. Haha! Mom opted for the Basic Burger with sweet potato fries while I had the pulled pork, mac & cheese and broccoli. Started with hummus and grilled pita as an appetizer. The hummus was really bland, I had to add salt on top. I ordered Portobello Mushroom sandwich with sweet potato fries on the side. The fries were not that great and didn’t taste fresh. The lady next to me complained about getting cold fries too. The sandwich was below average. It didn’t have a good flavor to it. My friend ordered Crab cake sandwich, which he thought was good. He got a side of Mac n Cheese with it. It was ok as well. I don’t think I will be returning to this place anytime soon.

Super nice. Food is yummy and fresh. Our waitress Kelly is the best waitress ever! Nice, fun, friendly and spunky! Food was great! Had the basic burger and sweet potato waffle fries. Great and pretty inexpensive!

Good food, not a great location. It’s not a ghetto or anything, it’s just in a strip mall, so not great outdoor seating. Both of our meals were good, with good, friendly service. Salad was a nice break from the standard Southern fare and place was clean and fun.

I pass by The 5 Spot all the time, but never stopped in for a bite. Boy, do I wish I had sooner. On the last day of an internship, we met here for a farewell lunch. First up: we ordered an appetizer of fried green tomatoes. I’m a Southern gal, so I believe myself to be an expert on maters. These were definitely for a more sophisticated palette. They were adorned in a creamy sauce and feta crumbles. Overall, I enjoyed them a lot, albeit the battering was a little less crispy for my liking. On to the main dish! I had an order of the crab cake sandwich, and it was simply divine. It was a nice potion for the buck. I chose regular fries as a side, but next time I go, I think I’ll try the sweet potato fries. I can’t wait to try this place again at night when there is live music. It definitely has become a fave of mine, especially for a change in scenery from central downtown.

Very good! We’ll come back any time we’re in Savannah, which is often. 5-Spot has great prices and a huge selection. I had the very yummy chorizo quesadilla and my husband had the absolutely delicious meatloaf hoagie — he was in heaven. He orders meatloaf all the time, and he was licking the plate. But the best part of the meal was the white truffle fries — dear Lord, were those amazing. Great fries on their own, but when drizzled with white truffle oil, sprinkled with white truffle salt and freshly grated Parmesan? Be still my heart.

So everyone has bad days. My last experience there was a bad day. Perhaps brunch isn’t their thing. I dunno. Regardless, I went back last week while home. Oh man. Best shrimp and grits EVER(other than my own of course). Served in a cast iron skillet, the shrimp were perfectly cooked and the grits were creamy and cheesy with a great scattering of scallions and chunks of ham. Divine. The fried green tomatoes were also perfection on a plate. There is a decent beer and wine list, live music on weekends. Now the place is crowded and cramped so be prepared. This is definitely a locals spot as it is out in Habersham Village and away from the historic area where the tourists are.
