This has quickly become my go to sub place. The staff is nice, the establishment is clean & well taken care of too. The subs here are steamed and boy does that make a difference, oh are they good. Just talking about it makes me want one see what I mean. The ingredients are fresh you can truly tell that after just one bite. If you’re having a sub craving do your stomach a favor and stop in here.

Love the interior «Firehouse» décor! It was founded by fireman in Jacksonville, FL. Only one veggie sandwich selection, and vegetarians beware… the mushrooms are cooked in a beef sauce! They have a selection of almost 50 hot sauces to add onto your sub and they kindly give a sample cup to taste them before hand. The drink fountain is computerized with a large selection of pop to choose from. Highly recommended, I would’ve given 5 stars if they had a veggie patty and mushrooms weren’t smothered in beef-that’s the best part of a cooked veggie sandwhich!

Not a fan of the staff. When I approached the register i was expecting a warm greeting but was asked «do you know what you want» ok gave order and still didn’t get a thank you. I noticed her name tag said general manager so I did expect more. The soda machine was spewing air when trying to get soda and soda tasted funny so we advised the staff. A staff member came out tested the machine and yelled to other coworkers what! It’s fine in an annoyed tone. Another worker came out made adjustments and fixed it. I have eaten at other firehouse sub shops and had outstanding customer service which this one could take a lesson from. The subs are still great so I will give 3 stars.

My friend came in to town and we met here for lunch. It was my first time going and I really loved how the firehouse them was worked into the décor. The people were friendly and the food was delicious. I can’t wait to go back! YUM!

The Engineer sub was delicious. Smoked turkey breast, melted Swiss, and sautéed mushrooms, served Fully Involved with a side of kettle chips and lemonade who could ask for a better sub. Not me!

Outstanding subs and service. The pastrami sub is outstanding. Regularly busy at this place, but they move the orders along quickly.

Another sub shop with good food. I’ve yet to go wrong with any of the firehouse subs shops that I’ve eaten at.
If you love a good meatball sub, ask for the sweet and spicy meatball sub. This is one that they had as a special a while back, but they don’t have it listed on the big board (they only show the regualar meatball sub). It’s got a sweet taste with a nice kick. It goes good with their Jalapeño chips.
The hook and ladder is always a safe bet if you just want a ham a turkey sub.
