Just had dinner from there, it was ok. I had beef chow mien which was different to say the least. The fried noodles I got were not so good, quite greasy and you could taste the oil. My husband had steamed dumplings and he said they were delicious but his BBQ spare ribs were more sweet than spicy. The chicken fried rice was good and we were also given boiled rice for free. Service was ok, although we did arrive 40 minutes before closing and they were in the process of cleaning the place. I’m always concerned about going somewhere I don’t know, I’ve been quite ill from take away Chinese food before and it’s always a concern trying somewhere I don’t know.

It’s pretty much your basic Chinese take– out place. Nothing fancy, but the food is good. Service is quick and prices are reasonable. I come here when I don’t feel like cooking or spending too much dining out.

So I don’t even know how this place got the rating it did. Especially if you compare it to the Awesome place on the other side of King George named China Wok. Where to even begin… ummm… well hell to be blunt. I am skipping everything else. Décor and Service because both were decent. The important problem would be the food. Meh I won’t ever be lazy again! I will be taking my butt on through the light and on to the other side of King George. Egg rolls– were just all the way disgusting. If you put a gun to my head and asked me to say something good about them or I would die, then I’d probably die on the spot. They were soggy grease soaked and EMPTY! I am talking barely anything in it. I gave them to the dogs.(they enjoyed them) Shredded Chicken — I ordered this thinking it was going to be chocked full of chicken, instead it seems as though i got a half an onion and an entire bell pepper with a side of chicken. The sauce of it was awesome and so was the chicken. I was displeased with the amount of chicken. Chicken & Shrimp Terriyaki — Nope! they should just leave that to the Japaneses. Enough said. Not only that i counted 7 shrimp in my dinner… Chicken lo Mein — Dry! Chicken & Broccoli — they like to put lots of veggies in their dishes to cover up the lack of the protein. The sauce that it was cooked in was flavorless. The side of brown sauce that we ordered was awesome though. Shrimp Fried Rice — Was pretty good. Still not better than CHINAWOK. Chicken Fried Rice — Meh… Honestly to sum it all up. This place will more than likely never see me again… EVER. even if CHINAWOK closed. NEVER! EVER! Do yourself a favor and go across to China Wok. Seriously I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. I give this place the first 1 Star ever :\

It’s not bad for an American Chinese takeout place in the neighborhood. The service is fast and friendly. My husband likes their General Tso’s chicken. I don’t really like American Chinese food, having grown up with the real deal. Sometimes I give into the temptation of dumplings I don’t have to make or cook, but they’re always just greasy and not crispy on the bottom. :(

This is my Chinese go to place. Every couple months I’ll stop by after work for take out. It’s consistently good. We normally get the steamed dumplings and kung pow chicken and sweet and sour chicken(:

How does this place have 4 stars? I like to give every place a chance but this was bad. We got the dumplings and the sweet and sour chicken. The dumplings even looked questionable. As you were eating, you knew you were most likely going to get sick from it.20 minutes later, I still feel nauseous. The only thing that tasted DECENT was their white rice. I would never go back. OY!

Love to grab some good Chinese food on my way home from work. Mongolian beef, garlic chicken, fried dumplings, and sesame chicken are always good choices. And the coconut shrimp! They always say it will be ready in ten minutes and it always is!

My husband and I like to come here every so often when we really want Chinese Food. We’re from Southern California so it’s hard finding good Chinese food like back home. This is the only place that’s come close. We enjoy the General T’sos chicken but sometimes I feel like the meat/chicken is questionable and it’s different every time we get the same thing.

My family and friends favorite Chinese take-out! Sometimes I wish the spicy dishes were more spicy and they delivered downtown, but still worth the 1O minute drive!

Ok Unilocalers y’all led me astray on this one. I do not agree with the reviews at all. Got the shrimp fried rice… sigh…greasy, bland and they just threw a few shrimp on top of the container of veggie fried rice. The eggrolls were ok. This is not the spot for me. Nah…

China Taste’s number is programmed into my phone. I don’t typically make such a commitment to a takeout place, but consistently tasty chinese for cheap that is always ready in 15 minutes or less? You can’t ask for anything more. I highly recommend the steamed dumplings. and the garlic pork… and the coconut chicken. :)

China Taste is my neighborhood Chinese takeout locale of choice. Prices are low, service is good, portions are large, and they’re fast and conveniently located in the plaza with Food Lion. Menu is fairly typical Americanized Chinese, which is dandy by me. The only issue I have is that I find it difficult to switch up my selection when I order from these guys. If you’re into the whole sweet/savory thing, the coconut chicken is crazy good. It’s basically deep fried chunks of chicken glazed in a sugary coconut sauce. Outstanding and probably not something you should be eating regularly. They do have healthy options available and their lunch menu is priced below $ 5 to compete with the Subway next door.
