I stopped in to pick up some soda, chips, and ice while camping in the area. The store was set up very well. Several Stop and Shops have been placing low coolers across the back of the store which block the easy flow between aisles. This was not the case here. I also discovered they carry beer which is not the case in the stores in Western Mass. Check out was easy. The problem happened when we went to leave and we’re accosted by a protester who was camped out by the exit door. I did not give the woman the time of day but clearly management should have moved her along.

Ok. I came here about a month ago. It’s VERY crowded. So funny how different S&S on the South Shore compared to the North Shore. South Shore S&S locations don’t EVER run out of scanners, yet North Shore S&S locations don’t EVER run out of shopping carts. Yet, I repeat, SUPERBUSY location. I suggest this if you don’t mind crowds, otherwise, Hannafords Supermarket down by Kohls is a good idea. By the way, did I mention the parking lot? Well, this Stop & Shop has a weird entrance and a weird lot. Usually you can’t get a close spot and sometimes some of the people in the lot are not great(talking to themselves, smoking, etc, etc), yet I think they come from the dirty K-Mart across the street. I guess the North Shore is MUCH busier than the South Shore, so many places, and everywhere is SO much traffic and crowds.

Terrible customer service on a consistent basis. I’ll go here in a pinch as it is the closest grocery store to me. But if I have the time I will drive further to go to a store where employees actually are willing to help you and talk to you in the checkout.
