This place has pretty good food. I’ve been here about 3 times. I’ve only had the grass=fed burger and fries,. Before I go on, let me say that the burger is outstanding – juicy but lean, with any toppings that you desire. The fries are, as far as I can tell, 100% potato and arrive piping hot and crispy. I’ve been with people who have had other items, and they all seem pretty good. My main complaint is that the service is wanting. Staff should know the menu, as well as the beer menu. Friends and I were there on a hot night, and one of my party wanted a specific flavor profile for her beer – something light, not too hoppy. The waitperson simply could not provide any suggestions in terms of what might meet that profile(from a list of at least 10 beers), even after my friend asked several times. A good waitperson would know how to describe beer and how to cross sell in order to satisfy a customer.

My wife and I stopped in for a drink. The wine list said $ 4 for a glass of Pinot. I commented about the wine to the owner and she gave me the bottle to photograph. When the bill came it was almost $ 60 for four wines. We were told the copy machine wasn’t working correctly and it should have been $ 14. She knew this ahead of time. I asked what she was going to do about the bill; she did nothing. We will never go back there again.

The food was OK, but we had an issue with one of our items and the owner came out. This woman could not have been more erratic and rude and did nothing to make the situation right. I would pass on this place. Not to mention, the colored cheesecake is a HUGE turnoff — artificial coloring. We won’t be coming back. There is good customer service elsewhere.

Loved this place! Delicious food, awesome gluten free bread(baked on premises) and vegan soup options that are fairly priced. The ambience is chill and very 60s without being obnoxious. No complaints at all, wish I didn’t live 3 hours away.

Every time I come here the food is always on point. The service is friendly; attentive but never overbearing. I have tried almost all options on the lunch menu and have never been disappointed once. Limited menus are always good in my opinion, because you know the food is FRESH. Many gluten-free/vegan options keep my husband and I coming back, as our dining out options are usually limited. Everything is always perfectly cooked, portioned and seasoned. The vegan cheesecake was life-changing for me.(It’s been a while since I’ve been able to eat cheesecake.) Happy to add this place to my restaurant rotation!

Meet Judy and feel the warmth of her welcome. Chef Cody, formerly of Breckenridge and New York City, will deliver wonderful food. A lovely selection of craft beers is available — I had the Vanilla Porter which was delicious! Being in the mood for a burger held us back from exploring other options, but we were very happy with our perfectly grilled grass fed beef! We will be back!

I was going to give them four stars, but after reading reviews below, decided to give them three as a wake-up call. On my visit in early January I’d assumed they’d just recently opened, but I’m reading reviews dating back several months suggesting that they need to figure their stuff out. There are some great things here: our food was good, the atmosphere was chill. But indeed, they do need to figure their stuff out. I was with a group of about 8 people, and the wait was quite slow although we were there in the late afternoon and there were only a few other tables. They seemed generally pretty disorganized. If these folks can get it together, they’ll have a nice thing going.

I love this place! The Unexpected gourmet menu goes down easy. Great friendly service and the décor is eclectic and fun. The rock theme, well, rocks! Even the vintage event posters in the bathroom are a great detail… and for sale too! And they have karaōke sometimes…

Great food, atmosphere, and service! We had a large group in town over New Years weekend(16 of us) and we entered Rock Da Casbah with no reservation and were seated right away. The staff was very attentive, efficient, and friendly. The drink list was extensive and food was delicious — cream of mushroom soup is an absolute must! A few other tables were also seated while we were there and it appeared everyone was well taken care of(even with our large group in attendance). We had a great time and would definitely come back.

Maybe it was just a bad night, but our groups experience there was unacceptable. We where quickly seated and our sodas where brought promptly but from there on the wait was painful, excruciating actually. Usually the order is taken when the drinks come but not here. We waited and waited. I noticed another couple that had been seated when we arrived still had their menus on the table, the disgusted looks on their faces indicating that their order had not been taken either. Then a family came in and the waitress/hostess quickly came over to them and gave them instant service while the rest of us waited and waited with her occasionally saying that she’d be right with us. After 30 minutes we got up and left. In my group of 4 none of us had ever done that before. We feared if it was taking this long to give an order what kind of wait could we expect for our meals. We went down the street to the Pig Bar & Grill which had excellent service, Eventually we commented to our wonderful waitress there about what had transpired. She said she had worked there for 1 or 2 days but it was so disorganized she could not stay.

A bit pricey for this area. Menu is quite limited. The bar seems adequate though. More a party atmosphere than a relaxing place to have a quiet dinner. Chilly air temperature. Turn up the heat, I’m keeping my jacket on!

Been there twice for beer and freshly prepared appetizer dishes by a former saucier at NYC’s Oceana. This is NOT a hipster joint. Go to Hudson or Woodstock for those. What you get here is honest food that is a few notches up from what you might want to make at home or get at other area restaurants. The flavors are full and sensuous! Warm and friendly atmosphere, and a very good and ever-changing draft beer list. Good and interesting décor that doesn’t cross over into what I call Decorator Hysteria. I hate the loss of the restaurant that used to be on this corner, but will be coming to this one much more often.

This is a trendy artsy kind of place. People are super friendly from the moment you walk in the door. The food is all homemade to order. It was fantastic. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. Try the tie dye cheesecake — awesome! Plenty of vegetarian options if that’s your thing.

Vegan Mac and Cheese late lunch with side order of Magic Mushrooms was enough for the two of us to split. Pasta was a little on the«heavy side» for my liking, but the mushrooms were delightful. Cold brew on a hot afternoon really hit the spot. As others have stated, it’s a new place and will have some maturing issues, however in the meantime, the service was great and prices good. I’d try them again for sure.

Weird wonderful hipster sort of place. Creative dishes and homemade deserts. The décor is a collection of hipster art and classic designs. The staff is friendly and concerned that you enjoy your meal. This place is great for dinner, coffee or desert. The food is freshly made to order. The menu is full of a wide variety of classics and the specials seem to be more creative. The desserts are homemade. I recommend trying the cheesecake.

Nice place! Great service, good people. Main course and apps are terrific… including fries to write home about. The cheesecake was ok, but I think they should nix the tie-dye colors. You’ll like it.

We stopped in for lunch. I ordered the«Magic Mushrooms», described as «a psychedelic ceremony of shiitake, oyster & portobello mushrooms» served in a wine sauce, topped w/fresh rosemary & truffle oil and«garlic toasties». What I received –for $ 9– was a charred piece of white bread w/approximately 1 large soup spoon of mushrooms. No truffle oil; no fresh rosemary; no garlic toasties; in fact, almost no food to speak of. When I told the waitress that I was disappointed w/my meal(I use the term«meal» loosely), I was informed that it was a «tapas» and that they were«working the kinks out». I told her this was not listed as a «tapas» and in fact, was not even a tapas-sized portion. She asked if I wanted to order anything else. Ha! Ha! Ha! No chance of that. Fool me once, etc. My husband ordered the Joplin Panini w/provolone, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers and scallions. He received two pieces of charred white bread w/grilled chicken and some unidentifiable greens, but no cheese or red peppers, roasted or otherwise. When this was pointed out to the waitress, he was informed that the cheese was«the kind that melts into the sandwich, so you cannot see it», altho’ she did admit two pieces of charred white bread do not a panini make. Because: you guessed it, they are«working the kinks out». Wow: magically disappearing provolone cheese. Never heard that one before. Why not just apologize for leaving out the provolone & bring him a slice of cheese? Yes, they have a lot of «kinks» to work out. In the meantime, we’ll take our business elsewhere.

Jealous I didn’t get to provide the first review. Went while up at HITS with some friends and they were still in their soft opening so there was a limited menu. New restaurant, still working out the kinks, but definitely showed promise! Awesome concept of local fresh farm to table. Since it was a limited menu, we basically ordered the entire menu. Loved the pasta dish, mac and cheese was great, pot stickers were good but not mind blowing. Enjoyed the mushrooms a lot. Desserts — really only enjoyed the crumble. The brownie was more blondie than brownie and wasn’t warmed. The cheesecake was a real let down, super skinny and flavorless. You forgot the NYC in the NY Cheesecake, ha! We got the homemade vanilla ice cream on some of the desserts and that was fantastic. As for cocktails I got what they are calling an Arnie Palmer which is really a Jon Daly(the owner tried to tell me otherwise, but I wasn’t making it up — An Arnold Palmer is non-alcoholic, its a John Daly when you add Vodka, google it — ) Hopefully this place survives until HITS2016, I’d be happy to go back.

Great place to stop for a drink. Jo mamas milk. Very kind staff and a and welcoming atmosphere. Live music on occasion. One of my new faves in saugerties we will definitely be back. Such a chill place I felt the stress just fall off my shoulders
