So I went here on a date and we were coming from a nearby winery(Pichetti — definitely try it, amazing wines). We were actually in downtown Saratoga looking for Stilletto’s, but it was closed(not sure why they are closed on Saturdays???). We wanted to go for more wine and FOOD, but we ended up at Uncorked because it was well reviewed on Unilocal.Unfortunately they do not have food, but the wines are very nice and we both got a glass and just chilled in the bar area. They serve goldfish crackers as a snack, so that helped the«hangries» :) We stayed only for one drink(we were starving) but given the price and the quality of wines, I would definitely go again. Also — if you buy a bottle, you get free corkage at 3 of the nearby restaurants. I recommend Mint Leaf — really yummy Asian cuisine with an amazing selection of food.

This is the best way to buy wine. Taste it first, then buy the wines you love! Staff is very friendly too.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon to get out of the heat, while killing time before dinner. It was very quiet with one regular couple at the bar. They had a large selection of bottles taking over most of the space, a nice bar, and a couple cute tables by the window. I had a glass of prosecco and my date had a white wine — we really just needed a refresh haha. Then the man(who I’m assuming is an owner of some sort) gave us a bowl of goldfish and I was won. We spent an hour chatting and people watching and it was nice. A patio on the sidewalk with some tables and chairs would have made it 100%.

Great wine! Good value! I love the location… right on Big Basin! The atmosphere was cute, quaint, and cozy– the perfect way to enjoy wine tasting! I would completely recommend visiting here to taste. There are also other wine rooms on the same street if you choose to make taste other wines.

The owner was pretty busy, so he didn’t really talk to us, but rather just gave us our samples in silence pretty much :(Half the fun of wine tasting is learning about what you’re drinking :(

Excellent selection of California wines, as well as choices from a few other regions. Tasting menu usually has 3 flights with three 2+ oz pours — from whites to reds to a premium red flight. Patrick, the owner, offers up a unique ‘goldfish cracker bowl’ to munch on, instead of the standard bar pretzels. Usually on the weekends you can find a nice cheese plate from him, too — often with brie, toscano, manchego, figs and some crackers. A few of the local restaurants also offer free corkage on anything you buy from uncorked — a nice bonus to save some money on your way to dinner.

Wine bars that attempt to present themselves as upscale and exclusive admittedly intimidate me, because I’ve only recently gotten into wine. But Uncorked is humble and welcoming. There’s no snootiness here, and I appreciate that. I can’t say much on the wine selection, because, as I mentioned above, I’m still new to this wine tasting business, but I enjoyed each pouring. It baffles me how some reviews refer to Patrick as ‘unfriendly’ or a ‘jerk’, because he was an absolute delight to me and my boyfriend. We literally talked about everything, from cities we’ve been from and to, politics, weather; he even spoke about his previous career ambitions. I didn’t get an ‘unfriendly’ vibe from him at all!

Came in here after getting my hair done nearby and couldn’t be more pleased. Patrick is very knowledgeable and didn’t make me feel at all uncouth for being a bit ignorant about wines. Wine tasting is often intimidating for those not in the know. This was a very pleasurable experience and I left with a few bottles and a warm feeling about Saratoga in general.

Went there with a couple of friends and we had a fantastic time! Patrick really knows the wine, how to make his customers happy and have fun. We all bought something. One of my friends was a member there for a while and I can see why. The location is great and Patrick can give you a corkage fee waiver if you take the wine purchased at his place to a local restaurant. I am definitely coming back!

I’ve loved Uncorked for several years now, but with the recent change in management and staff I love it even more. The food is fantastic and the cook Stacy is amazing. Give this place a try and you will love it.

Uncorked is enjoyable because of the different types of wine that they serve and sell. The bar is a great venue to converse with others. Therese and Patrick are warm and knowledgable about their wines. Every time we go, we discover a new wine that we enjoy.

Walking by this place after lunch, a wine box labeled«Nickel & Nickel» caught my eye, as our family name is Nickel(no relation). So we walked in, baby and stroller and grandparents and all. Patrick greeted us warmly and was quick to answer all our questions, and was very knowledgable about Nickel & Nickel especially! It was a fun lesson in an expensive wine we hadn’t heard of. We would have bought a bottle of N&N Cab, but they were out of it currently. So we asked how much for the wine box lids/panels, and Patrick handed us 2 to keep, at no charge! How amazing is that? The wine drinkers of our group will be back to get one or two actual bottles in the future! We didn’t get any wine today, but did walk away with a pleasant taste in our mouths regardless :)

My wife and I stopped in here on Saturday night before dinner and had a wonderful time. The tasting flight was great, affordable and featured very generous pours! The owner was a warm, gracious host and the wine in the store was all very well priced as well. The complimentary goldfish were a nice touch!

An excellent place to taste local wines or to have a glass wine before dinner in downtown Saratoga. I’ve stopped in on several occasions and always enjoyed the wines available by the glass. I like the focus on local wines at the wine shop for take away. In addition, Uncorked has many wines available from around the world. I’ve purchased a great bottle of wine at Uncorked for dinner at nearby restaurants as corkage fees are reasonable at nearly all of the nearby establishments. Uncorked also offers wine clubs to sample local wines but I haven’t joined any of them yet.

We came in to try some wines and were disappointed with the lack of information the owner gave us about each wine. He also took off to answer a phone call(and chat with the friend who called for five minutes) having served everyone else but me. Points awarded for tact when recommending expensive wines that might have been out of our price point. Selection is decent.

If you are looking for a down-to-earth wine store & tasting bar try Uncorked! The owner, Patrick, specalizes in excellent«price performer» wines. Mostly smaller boutique wineries that are often associated with leading wine makers there is always an interesting array of wines both in the shop and the wine bar(which now also includes some interesting beers!). I’ve been coming here for several years and always enjoy the wines offered at the tasting bar as well as those in the store. And if you are ever not tha sure of which to try Patrick is a wealth of knowledge! Highly recommend Uncorked!

Now this is a wine tasting room that I can get down with. Seeing as how I’m a far cry from your average wine guy(you know, the sweater vest type), the typical wine room doesn’t really fit my style. A bit too buttoned up for my taste, really. But Uncorked! has some funk to it. From the wall mural to the fact that they also carry amazing microbrews(uh, Old Rasputin, anybody?), I could tell that this was my kind of spot. I came in here with a group of four and had a pleasurable tasting courtesy of the owner(I forget his name at this point… which I feel bad for because he was amazingly laid back and NOT a wine snob). Will be coming back here.

Good place, never bought a bad wine there. I like to go on Friday afternoons when I can, pay $ 10 for a flight of 3 x 2oz pours(there’s also a higher priced flight) and then buy the wines that I liked. Friendly owner, not wine-snobby, great prices at both $ 20 range and $ 50 range if you want. 10% discount on purchase of 12 bottles and tasting flight comp’d if you do.

It’s funny how diverse the reviews are for this place. I’ve liked almost all of the tastings… even the reds, and I’m not much of a red wine drinker. I like the guy working behind the counter because he’s laid back and quiet. He doesn’t try to hard sell us any wines like some of the folks in Napa. My fiancé and I like to go in, taste, and enjoy the company of whoever happens to be there. I also just found out that they sell Cava Rosada. Oh, happy day!
