My boss gave me a coupon for this place and so one chilly sat night i dragged our friends and the hubby out here. Its a place I probably drove by many times and didn’t even notice… the inside is nice and cozy with a table with fire! It was perfect for a cold night. The wine selection is great and they do have some non alcholic choices if you so desire. Their small plates are delicious — that popcorn and flatbread is addictive!!! I wish they had more desert options but I feel as more people show up they will… so come on people. go go go go

Wow, what a hidden gem. This place has a great wine and food selection/pairing. The ambiance and service is wonderful too. What a great find!

I have worked near this place for a while and I had never ventured inside. It was so warm and cozy! The ambiance was great! The wine was delicious as well as the flat bread appetizer. The prices are not over inflated, they were quite reasonable. The chef came out to introduce herself my companion and I, she was such a pleasant and friendly lady! Our server was courteous and told funny jokes. This place is great and I recommend anyone wanting a romantic and relaxed atmosphere to try this place out.

The place is very conveniently located in town. Inside it was very warm and inviting and the fire pit and back bar were great features. The bartender Jade was very knowledgable about the bar and the wine offerings. My date and I tried a few different wines and it was a nice environment to have a conversation.

Beautiful atmosphere and charming, romantic décor. The indoor area is small, but the patio is quite spacious and much bigger than it appears from the street(if a bit chilly). Went to a meetup here, and the large table with center glass fire pit was perfect and cozy for our small group. The menu has an excellent local and international wine selection, plus beer, hard cider and excellent appetizers. The cheese and charcuterie plate was very good, as was the truffle popcorn. Service was great. Only complaint is that the server(who was new) did not tell us that the tip had been added to our individual bills. Fortunately, one in our party spotted it before we added an additional tip.

Parked across the street and then walked into this beautiful entrance of vines and brick. I knew I had made the right choice for this date night. They were setting up for Paint Nite AND open mic so they were all over the place to say the least. We were set back at first that although technically«open for business» they didn’t attend to us, but again, they were crazy busy setting up so no worries. We sat down, did a blind tasting, which was fun, then ordered dinner to have some food. The lobster ravioli was really good and the chicken waldorf was too(but the portion was lacking for the waldorf). They were training a new staff on how to make some cocktails and let us in on the sampling since we had been there so long, hahaha. Try the lychee something and the pinot noir something cocktails. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Once paint nite got rolling and the staff were in their grove, the place was a blast with music and art thriving. They forgot to bring us our chocolate cake we ordered but were on top of most everything else. Anytime I went to the bar for help, they were super attentive and remembered me, which I appreciated, because I went back a lot for random things(bottle here, glass there, food here). I think it is a bit overpriced, but a nice, beautiful setting, with really great people, and staff/owner that work hard and care.

The experienced staff at Claudine’s wine experience makes for an amazing time coupled with an amazing experience! When I think of wine bar in the Bay Area I think Claudine’s. I have found myself becoming a regular at this establishment.

My friends and I came here on a Friday night around 9pm and there was barely anyone there. We were a group of 10 so we were fine with it. The service was so sweet to us, Claudine herself even came down to say hi and make sure we were having a good night. The set up is so adorable, with comfy couches to lounge at. There’s also a long table in the center with a fire pit that my friends and I really enjoyed. We all got wine flights that’s tasted amazing. We got little cards to fill out about the wine to make our experience more interactive! I would definitely come here again, many more times!

I’m not a man inclined toward the finer things in life — but I can sure appreciate them. I wouldn’t consider myself knowledgeable enough to make any worthwhile claims about their wine selection – lots of imports, and I enjoyed the ones I tried – but I can say they’ve got a good beer selection, draft and bottled. From what I sampled, their flatbreads and cheese selection were both phenomenal. The ambiance here is uniquely cozy for Saratoga, and it’s the best place I’ve seen in the area for casual to upscale drinking if you’re looking for a friendly and intimate environment. But I’ll move on to the thing I can really talk about: the Open Mic night. For the past two Thursdays(and hopefully many more to come), Claudine and her husband have opened their doors to a group of performance artists and our audience after we were abruptly orphaned by the Blue Rock Shoot. While at most other Open Mics I’ve attended, the relationship between the event and the venue is disconnected and autonomous – the performers show up, and the business makes minor accommodations, if any – the management at Claudine’s has been proactive in making a communicative and synergetic connection with our group. They’ve been patient while we work through the growing pains of figuring out our sound and setting, and graciously set up a cash bar on the patio for our convenience. The owners mix in with the crowd, and their hospitality and affability has really made the place feel like home to all of us. A great spot to sit down with a glass of the red stuff any night of the week, but if you’re in the mood for some great performance art(or you’re a performer yourself), be sure to come by for the Open Mic on Thursday nights, 6:30 to 10:30, and be part of our community.

Great venue, great wine, great food appalling service(mic drop). Spent about 4 hours there listening to a great band but the service was ridiculous, maybe why they place was so empty. Sorry I’m not usually negative on Unilocal but not sure what’s up here with the service

I’ve hosted many many celebrations and this one here last night was for the books! We celebrated my daughter’s 21st birthday and took over the patio. Before the event, we had met with John and THE Claudine for a sampling of the wines and to choose which we would be serving our guests. We tasted over a dozen and each was personally presented to my Husband and I with some kind of footnote and annotation of what we were tasting. Each one started out with, yes, yes ok this one is great, let’s offer this! Then reality sunk in and we started to consider our guests! Several would be in the 21 – 23 age so their palettes for wine would be on a different level. We had a nice variety of whites and reds and of course bubbly. We offered the following to our guests: The better half Sauvignon Blanc, Gen5 Chardonnay, St Julia 2013 Cabernet, Blackbird Vineyard Rose, Left Coast Pillar Pinot, and now our our current favorite Cab«Educated Guess.» Pretty great, huh? The night was perfectly mild, the music was complimented by my 23 year nephew(win!) and everyone was just having a good time. To make it more«official», Claudine had each guest carded at the entry area for wrist bands for proper serving. Nice touch! But back to the wine selecting! What a great afternoon that was! That was a bonus experience to the party! Thanks for a great party Claudine and John! (I will be hosting future client wine tasting events here!)

Nice place. Tried a few whites from their selection and enjoyed them all. Patio is nice, unfortunately a bit noisy with A/C.

Came in to see my buddy perform an acoustic set on the patio. Didn’t know what to expect quite honestly. I rarely go to Saratoga. Must say I was incredibly impressed. The wine selection was varied and quite reasonable for people like me who lack a refined wine palate and sort of «like what we like». The food selection was also incredibly reasonable and had enough variety to keep it interesting. I’m a vegetarian and found plenty on there to satisfy. The service was wonderful and the crowd great. Not too pretentious, but also not too«San Jose-ish». Great spot for summer evenings… who am I kidding, any evening, weather here is good enough year round to enjoy outdoor dining. Will definitely go back!

Claudine knows her wine! This is the best wine bar in the South Bay/Peninsula. She was a quick read on our tastes and has a great sense of humor. Jazz band tomorrow night! Must go!

OK — at first glance, one may think this is a chick place. And they’d be correct… However, what the men aren’t aware of is that they also play sports on a big screen TV at their gorgeous bar and have at least 6 delicious and unusual beers on tap at all times. Back to the chick place: we love it. It’s garden setting is cozy, quaint and chill and a little like having a bit of Europe in your side yard, with delicious wine flowing and yummy low carb appies to keep you from getting too tipsy, although Chef Carla is planning to up the menu soon! After dusk, sitting around the delightful fire and ice table is the perfect place to take that low light selfie for your Instagram account. This secret garden bar will sell itself — you just need to find it and get yourself there!

This place is so nice. Claudine is so fun, and the remodel is fabulous. I normally go to Testarossa but this is my new favorite hangout. The chandeliers are amazing. Check it out!

If you’re looking for a nice way to end the evening, not a bad way considering Claudine herself is there to make sure to assist you with what you want and need. Thanks. Had a great time, thank you for the insights and great wine.

The new owners of this place really know what they’re doing. The wine selections I’ve tried so far are all excellent, some very hard to find ones too! The new interiors are more cozy and really lends itself to an exceptional wine experience. No wonder I find myself coming back to this place over and over again. Good job!
