My family came to Three Vines for dinner on Friday. Beforehand, we went to the Embassy Suites for a drink and some complementary light appetizers at their reception. I recommend doing this as their bar is awesome. Three Vines is a small, casual, Italian-American restaurant with a view of the wood-fired pizza oven. They cater immensely to the gluten free and wheat free lifestyles. They have some high top tables and we took one of those. The menu looked fantastic. They’re known for their«meetballs» so obviously I had to try them. We ordered five: 3 sausage & broccoli rabe(GF), one vegetarian, and one buffalo chicken. My family raved about the sausage &BR. My favorite was the vegetarian, which was essentially arancini(risotto ball). It was lightly crispy on the outside, and soft and creamy inside. The buffalo chicken could’ve used more buffalo flavor. Most of my family ordered the tomato and(housemade!) mozzarella salad. This salad was huge! Two of my relatives actually had to take half of it home. The thick slices of tomato and mozzarella were stacked so high. The fresh mozzarella was soooooo good. Highly recommend this salad. For my entrée I ordered the osso buco. Holy huge portion, batman. And tender — the bone slipped right out. There was so much meat. And the creamy, cheesy polenta it sat atop was savory and delicious. I ended up taking 75% of it home because it was huge. Other relatives ordered the scallops and salmon and both received rave reviews. You can order the scallops with or without the pasta too! The service was very friendly and attentive. The appetizers took a little too long to come out but we didn’t mind. The entrees were right on time. I wanted to try the cannoli chips & dip(such a great idea) but was too full. Next time. Go to this restaurant!

First time here based on my brothers recommendation. Got there 5:30 so not crowded yet but was full by 6:30. Nice menu variety. We started with calamari and it was done perfectly. I then had the Bistro salad and the dressing was so delicious. Chicken Parmesan was very good. My husband had a stuffed pork chop special that he said was the best he’s had and told our waitress, Christie, that it should be a regular on the menu. We shared a Tiramisu for dessert which was good but it didn’t really need the chocolate drizzle as I typically like this dessert because it’s light. My only negative is it’s much too bright in here. They really should tone down the lights a little. But we will go back. Great food and great service!

My husband and I went here with some friends for dinner one evening. The food was delicious but the service wasn’t great. I asked for a cocktail list and the waitress brought me a coffee list. I asked again and she said they didn’t currently have one. I asked for a recommendation but she was just confused and didn’t have anything to offer. Ended up getting wine which was good, but four glasses of wine for the table took about 10 minutes. It was NOT crowded but all night the service was slow. At one point I went to the restroom and walked by our waitresses eating at a counter. At this point we were waiting on more bread(which they knew about) and water. I mean really?! Our waitress must be a chain smoker because she smelled so heavily like smoke that you could smell it when she simply walked by the table. I won’t hold that against her or the restaurant, but it wasn’t exactly pleasant. We got an appetizer that was the artichoke. It was so so. However the rest of the food was great. The salads were delicious! The margarita pizza is one of the best I’ve ever had. Their marinara sauce is to die for! My friend who is a vegetarian got the veggie meatballs and they were delicious. Overall I would def return for the food. But don’t expect the service to be anything amazing.

Another reason to love this place? They are extremely helpful and genuinely care about their customers. How do I know this? My wallet fell out of my too small of a contraption purse and I didn’t notice! Once I realized I had lost my wallet, I retraced my steps and called the restaurant. Come to find out they were already trying to hunt me down to make sure it was returned to it’s owner. They saw an old college ID in there and called the school to see if they could obtain a phone number. Who does that? Good people do. We will continue to support this lovely business not only because their food is fabulous but they are down right genuinely great people. Thanks Three Vines!

Just a quick update on our 3rd visit here. We were looking for just a couple of healthy appetizers since we still felt overloaded from the Armenian Church Festival we attended the day before. They still offer a nice selection of draft beers, including several from local breweries. I had the Red Ale from Paradox($ 5.50) while my wife had a glass of White Sangria($ 10). We shared one of their regular appetizers, the Wood Fired Asparagus($ 11), and supplemented that with the Zuppa di Pesce($ 14) for my wife and the Salad of the Evening($ 15) for me. The prosciutto wrapped asparagus were very nicely done with an excellent flavor, but the caper brown butter sauce added a bit more saltiness than we preferred. The accompanying parmesan polenta did not seem like it was fully cooked inside. The zuppa had perfectly prepared clams, shrimp, and mussels, while the scallops tasted a little fishy. Otherwise, it was a very satisfying dish. My salad was quite large with a wonderful mix of artisan greens, shaved fennel, tiny orange segments, a citrus vinaigrette, and three large, perfectly pan-seared and delicious scallops. We were both fully satiated at this point, BUT… the dessert of the evening was Carrot Cake($ 10), a weakness for my wife, and I recall from previous visits that they made excellent desserts. Soooo, we ordered to-go for later enjoyment the carrot cake for her and a Chocolate Rum Cake($ 10) for me. Both were fully appreciated at home later that evening while we watched Guy’s Grocery Games. Service continues to be friendly and informal.
