Our first meal in Florida on vacation. Food and service were great, would go again and again if we lived close by!

My boyfriend and I went here because of the rave reviews however, it didn’t live up to the hype in our own experience. We were seated immediately but when the server finally came she was exceptionally rude as if we were annoying her by being there. It was Memorial Day weekend and I can understand it’s busy but isn’t that somewhat a good thing? The café probably does some of its best business that weekend, I would think. The service did not improve, no one came to check on us and we only saw the server again when she dropped off the bill. Perhaps some other items on the menu are better than others but my food was bland enough that it tasted poorly and I couldn’t finish the meal. I got a simple 1 pancake breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries. The pancake was made out of sweet potato which I thought would be an interesting take but it had no flavor and was very hard to eat, like tearing through and eating rubber. Also, my scrambled eggs were«soupy» from not being cooked long enough. The home fries and bacon were fine, but it’s pretty hard to mess those up. To each his own I suppose and they have a lot of good reviews so there must be other good food. Maybe just don’t go on a weekend or a holiday? We had better breakfast elsewhere on Siesta.

Just enjoyed an amazing breakfast. The French toast was so good and they happily served it the way I like it. With no syrup and served with lots of powder sugar and whip cream. I also thought their coffee was the best I have had out on the key. Can’t explain what makes it so good but the flavor was definitely my favorite this trip. Service was friendly and quick. Overall experience was great. Definitely would recommend for breakfast on Siesta Key!!!

Awesome food! The cheese grits are really good and the burrito is even better! Also, if you have a party larger than four and want to sit on the patio, they are very accommodating unlike some of the other patio restaurants in Siesta Key(wink wink Siesta Key Oyster Bar). Service is super friendly and the staff works together to get food out quickly and refills topped of f.

Came here on the recommendation of a friend for breakfast. Firstly, if you order 2 or more breakfasts and you check in on Unilocal, you can get a free cinnamon roll and it is TOTALLY worth it. One of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. The icing was buttery and sweet, and the roll it self was moist. For breakfast, I had the biscuits and gravy. They were very good, but needed a little salt, which was no problem since they have salt on the table. Wife and her friend each had the burrito and although they were out of chorizo, they still enjoyed them. We were able to sit outside and the weather was perfect. The staff was very nice and efficient. Finding parking can be a bit of a pain, but it’s manageable.

This is a four star, not very greasy spoon! This is not the place to find avacado aus jus or chutney — infused lotus leaf pancakes. Here you find classic, American breakfast fare at reasonable prices served with efficiency. Nothing fancy, everything tasty. Generous omlette, vanilla — flavored pancakes, decent bacon, your own pot of okay coffee. It doesn’t pretend to be anything that it isn’t which is just shy of excellent or better put very good.

Good breakfast place. I have been twice now. The service is quick and the food comes fast, it it isn’t too busy. I had the breakfast special with the home made biscuit and honey. Both times it was really good, you get a pot of coffee for the table and it is good. Not like some breakfast places where the food is good, but coffee is terrible.

I have to give 5 stars for what I ordered. Maybe it’s only 4 – 4.5 but my meal is a 5! After arriving I was greeted and taken to a table that was just getting cleaned after the previous couple got up. The server was promptly on me with water and asking to take my drink order. After careful consideration I decided on the corned beef hash with eggs, fruit and Whole grain toast dry. The food came out so fast I was shocked. I guess they have it down to a science for breakfast turning and burning. The hash was perfect crunchy on the out and moist on the inside, eggs are eggs, toast was fresh and toasted, the fruit salad was extremely fresh like it was just put together to order. Fresh banana, strawberry, melons and pineapple. All in all this was a delicious breakfast and I would recommend the hash! Service was quick and attentive. No complaints here. Enjoy!

I have been living on Siesta Key and working selling Real Estate for 23 years and Village Café is my favorite and in my opinion the best place for breakfast on the Key!

This was such a great experience! We dined inside although the weather was beautiful outside. Our server Lindsey was super attentive and our order came out perfectly. I had the croissant sandwich and my partner had the chicken breast omelette; both were absolutely delicious! I will definitely be back on my next trip to the area.

Great little brunch spot in a cute little town. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes and they were very tasty! They Didn’t even need much syrup as it was cinnamony goodness. The staff was nice and all the food arrived quickly and everything was very good. They have cute little souvenir cups and shirts to purchase.

Have eaten here several times during my stay in Siesta Key. Very nice clean homely establishment. One of those unique family owned places. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the customers. The food is not fancy just good. I had the 1 egg ham grits and muffin The pice of ham was much more than I could finish. Grits were creamy and well done. Plenty of food for the money. Of in the area try this one and see if you agree. Price for this great meal was $ 7.95. A bargain in a tutors beach town.

Food was good, service was nice. Big problem: the men’s bathroom is absolutely *disgusting*. I won’t get into it here, but the idea of any of the staff using a bathroom that ridiculously filthy makes me nervous to eat the food. Maybe I will get into it. There was literally backspray on the walls. Like, that’s astonishing, surely someone who works there saw it. Made quite an impression on me(killing my appetite dead). Serio, guys, have a bathroom patrol or something a couple times daily, that’s how most restaurants do it.

I used to give this place 5 stars. It’s down to 2 now. If food is good and the atmosphere is cozy. They gave me a hard time with the free items offered on Unilocal. We took 11 people here 2 days in a row and they didn’t want to give us the cinnamon rolls. End result was 1 to share with all 11? The coupon only says buy 2 breakfasts and get the roll. It doesn’t say 1 per table. I bring my large family here every year and don’t know that I will return here because of this. If one per table is the rule then put that on the coupon, and don’t make your customers feel bad about using a coupon either! There is a lot of competition on the island, maybe you need to remember that.

Lazy Sunday started with breakfast here — really because they were open at 7:00am! We had the bikini omelet with spinach and tomatoes, potatoes and toast. The eggs Benedict florentine with grits were so good! Take advantage of the free cinnamon roll for a bite of sweet! The coffee was perfect! Service was nice. She brought a bowl of water for the happy pooch. Definitely will be returning!

Beautiful location on the corner, with outdoor seating, quick service and reasonable prices. The seating was right by the sidewalk and we were able to bring our pup with us. The breakfast menu was filled with a variety of(4) egg omelets which came with toast, biscuits, sausage, bacon, ect. You could custom make your dishes or order right off the menu. There are other dishes too in case you are vegan or looking for a lighter meal. I ended up getting the Mexican Omelet which was filled with the spicy sausage, cheese, beans, salsa, peppers and onions. It was very good and filling. Other dishes ordered was two eggs over easy, fruit and toast. A mickey mouse pancake and bacon. Both were very good. Oh, they also allow you to mix juices so you could get apple with cranberry, etc. The prices were just right and I was please with the service. I’d go again if I were in the area.

Nice place to go while staying on SK. Not fancy but tasty food. I had the Veggie Egg Skillet. Only problem was I found a hair in my food when I was 90% finished with my food. Of course that could happen anywhere. Good portions. Opens 7am too if you’re a morning person.

This was our favorite breakfast spot in siesta key during our visit. Huge menu, well priced and they always had a perfect table available for us without a wait during our three visits over the course of a week. I Highly recommend the French toast! Fast and friendly service too!

4 star average people? Really? Look, Village Café is fine — good size portions for a reasonable price — but everything on this menu you could make at home and it would taste the same. I came here simply because I’ve lived here for 4 years, was on Siesta Key, and wanted breakfast. Sun Garden Café was across the street — and I love t there — but we thought we’d try something different. Its a diner, they have diner food. It’s not really good, but it doesn’t suck either. Like I said, the portions are big, but why go out and spend money on food you can make at home? I know, you can make everything at home, but this actually tastes like you just made it in your kitchen, and unless you’re Alton Brown or Bobby Flay or someone like that, the food you make in your kitchen isn’t exactly to die for. I got a frittata, which was bland, and my girlfriend got a breakfast burrito, which was okay and the size of my leg. Service was not good. Server took her sweet time getting to us and then never checked on us. I wanted ketchup — has to ask another server who also refilled our water — so kudos to her, but our server didn’t even deserve the 15% we left her. Do yourself a favor — go to Sun Garden instead. You’ll enjoy it so much more.
