Renamed«Bitia’s» but same menu, based on reviews, and still excellent food! With limited Spanish under my belt, had to depend on the gal behind the counter(THE Bitia??) for suggestions and settled on chorizo and Pastor tacos, and a selection of pupusas which were like cheesy pita pockets… our kids loved it all too. As reviewed, the pico de gallo was a-maz-ing and not to be missed. Went back again during our 10 day stay.

A great little spot. A little«hole in the wall-ish» but clean and you can see where they prepare the food. This place is the real deal. Is really small but great food. I would recommend take out if your group is larger than 4. Definitely worth checking out.

I go for the tacos. I’ve only had their tacos. It’s hard not to order the tacos every time I go.

I love this place. It’s small… but awesome tacos for a great price. You CAN spend more money on mexican food… you just won’t get any better! I immediately checked to see if they were still open for my trip to Sarasota next month.

I love how they have the pico de gallo and other toppings at the counter instead of having to ask for it or pay extra… we tried a combination of tacos… my favorite was the Barbacoa.

A decent mom and pop Mexican taco shop. There’s tight parking but worth trying authentic foods. My friend and I tried this place from a word to mouth. I ordered 4 Taco al Pastor. He ordered 1 Taco al Pastor, 1 Bisteak and 1 Pork. My tacos were pretty good. The flavors were bold and you get to choose how much spices and toppings you need on your tacos from a u-serve table. I also squirt lemon juice on it to enhance the flavors of the meat… It was all good and tasty. Certainly is a great place to try new Authentic Mexican foods. I will be back here to try their«fin de semana»(weekend) special, Menudo. I love that beef tripe soup!

This is a great little place to get authentic Mexican tacos. I spent about 2 months in the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico and I can say that these are as authentic as they come.

This is a nice little Mexican restaurant tucked into a strip plaza on 17th between Lockwood Ridge and Beneva. It’s not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it gets the job done and looks to be a popular destination amongst the owner’s friends and family. Above the counter is a whiteboard menu handwritten in Spanish with English subtitles. We decided to stick with the tacos for our first visit. The girl at the register graciously explained how the tacos are served and the price. 1.25 each. We ordered an assortment of beef and pork… and the beef was NOT hamburger. Their tacos are nothing like the bastardized American version… but are smaller soft flour tortillas with the meats laid out on top… you can add your own topping if so desired. I tried the pico de gallo which was garden fresh and had a nice bite. The tacos were nothing short of delicious. What amazed me is that it took a little while for the meal to come out. The kitchen is open and we watched the chef actually cook the meats for our tacos. 1.25 per and the orders are individually cooked… not pre-cooked and reheated. The tacos are not that big, but hey, for a little more than buck, order 5 or 6. We had two drinks and several tacos and our lunch was less than 12.00 We will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.

This is a great little hole in the wall and I have loved everything I have ever had there including their Menudo, Boar Soup and Tongue tacos for a buck!

Was also impressed with the $ 1 tacos. They are a bit smaller than most places, but offer the soft, flat version with a variety of fillings. I had the chorizo which was great with a serving of well-stewed beans. Most other customers seemed to be native taco fans, so they endorsed by patronizing. Very limited menu, and the desserts were some stale conchas in a display case. Will skip them to guard my teeth next time.

Great authentic Mexican street style tacos for only a dollar each! No pretense on ambiance, just good cheap food.
