Nightmare and difficult to know where to begin. For superficial non-invasive work this place may offer some type of basic care but I would never trust this center for anything invasive. I went to Dr. Chiu knowing I needed foot surgery and ready for it. Her diagnosis was accurate, completely. But the follow-through pre-op appointment was enough to scare me away for life. The day before the scheduled surgery I had a pre-op appt. I hadn’t seen the Doc for over a month, when I scheduled the surgery… In the pre-op appt I was asked to purchase custom orthotics(really? hustling me the day before reconstructive foot surgery?), told I might need to think about getting surgery(uh, it was scheduled for the next morning!), and when we tried to get the appt back on track and asked what type of material would be used(since I would need hardware to help fuse bones together) was told, «I don’t know, what difference does it make?» Hillary style. I have read about allergic reactions to certain metals used and wanted to have knowledge of the type of metal that would be used in my body. All together the dated office, dated x-ray equipment, and total disconnected bizarre appointment the day before surgery were really a bit scary. I totally ran away and am so thankful I did. I found incredible foot/ankle care in Sarasota, had the surgery, and thank God my father was with me to experience the whole thing with me. Please note her office provides a financial incentive for patients to review here and notice that few reviews are for surgical care. This occurred in January 2015.
