I had 2 eggs over easy with sausage and wife had the breakfast croissant. The eggs had as strange taste as did the sausage that was closer to kilbesa than sausage. My b-​fast also came with a single slice of toast? When does a breakfast not come with 2 slices of toast. Service was good, the place was clean but neither of the meals were anything to rave about. Don’t think we will be back.

Awesome food, great staff, cool environment. Not in the greatest part of town but don’t let that stop you. The menu is unique and varied. Food was wonderful. I’ll be back to keep trying the menu.

Love this place!!! Nice simple décor, great food, charming service. Great breakfast spot. I tried a couple of the omelettes on different days. Liked them all. This is our new go-​to breakfast place in Sarasota.

On my way out of town, stopped for a quick
Breakfast. Wasn’t really sure about the area, but glad I stopped. Perfectly prepared traditional eggs Benedict with roasted potatoes, quick service, good coffee, and reasonably priced. In an area you don’t know having a Unilocal review is always helpful

Loved It! We just moved to the area so I found this place on Unilocal.With the great reviews my husband and I thought we’d give it a try. I’m so glad we did. I had a small cup of goulash for starters and a chickpea burger. The goulash brought me back to Budapest in my friend’s kitchen. Very smooth and plenty of meat and veggies. The chickpea burger was really good and was served with a tomato and spinach. Great sweet potato fries too. My husband had the grilled chicken panini, which had a nice spice. No room for dessert but the server sure did tempt us. Can’t wait to go back for dinner. Nice atmosphere and service was wonderful.

If you’re having breakfast in Sarasota, don’t bother going anywhere else. The food here is seriously delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options — a delightful surprise! I had the savory chickpea pancakes. The flavor combination with mango salsa and arugula on top… someone knows what they are doing.
The fruit cup though… totally over priced. It’s tiny!

I have NO idea how this place has such a high rating on Unilocal… a 6oz cup of orange juice is $ 4, eggs Benedict has paper thin ham, couldn’t even taste it. Hollandaise is flavorless, English muffin was burnt on one side and raw on the other, potato pancake was dry and pasty on the inside. As for the atmosphere, I prefer not to have 2 or 3 women staring at me from behind the counter while I eat. It’s a restaurant, wipe down a counter and stop ogling your customers. Guy got pancakes, they were nothing special. Never going back.

This was the first place I ate at Sarasota
The place: very clean, and friendly.
The food: it was very decent, I order the avolicious which is an omelette with tomato filling and cheddar cheese topped with avocado, and the side of potato pancake, it was a bit under seasoned but I liked it :)
The chef cooks the food in the same room as u which I thought was pretty cool, so no funny business going on in the back kitchen lol.
the menu is not as appealing as the food, I wish they had pictures on their menus and the font of the menu a bit bigger and more appetizing, it’s Sarasota for god sakes!

This is definitely one of our favorite places for breakfast! The home made sausage is the best and the staff and owners could not be more attentive and accommodating! We love this life place!!!

This place was awesome! If you look twice you will miss it! It is between to «rough» looking motels. We were a little concerned when we pulled in. I am so glad we didn’t judge a book by it’s cover. I had the eggs benedict and it was perfect. The service was slow but it appeared they had two people serving a busing the entire place. Overall a wonderful meal and we will definitely return if I am back in the area.

What a great place to eat! Nestled between two motels, the Days Inn and in from of Oakwood Apts, this Café has not only great breakfasts but a nice lunch choice as well as a wonderful friendly staff. The owner is European. The deserts are European. Try them out. Great service

We weren’t sure at first because the location was by an old what looked like HOJO’s. We were so glad we stopped by! Great salmon burger and caprese flatbread lots of interesting food options… upscale fusion feel. Yummy lunch and just around the corner from Ringling Bros. museum. We will return.

I am not from Sarasota however this must me one of those secret places that the locals go to. Simply AMAZING! The food was high quality, they took pride in their food, great service and atmosphere. I can’t wait to get back to Sarasota to eat here again. Don’t overlook it, you will be missing out!
I had the lamb burger, it was seasoned perfectly. Everything was so good I had to try a desert and that did not disappoint either.

Excellent! The lobster roll was best I’ve had, full of meat, no fillers. The sweet potato fries were perfect & hubby’s omelet was fresh & tasty. Oh and the potato pancake-​I could make a meal from a couple of those. We even had dessert, a chocolate layer cake, can’t remember the name. It too was super. The device was excellent. Definitely coming back. It’s super close to SRQ. Small place next to a motel. I think they are open thurs nites too.

This place is so much more than the little diner it looks like on the outside. The food is great and really reasonably priced! Personal favorites are the mushroom risotto and the roast pork, arugula and Dijon vinaigrette on house made flatbread. Great service too! Highly recommended!

What an amazing place to get breakfast. I can not wait to go back to have lunch. The service could not have been better. The waitress was very attentive and professional. Explained the menu inside and out. Very clean in the restaurant and bathrooms. The restaurant was not busy when we arrived but was busy by the time we left. Hubby had fruit and steel cut oatmeal and my daughter had the most amazing chocolate chip pancakes. I had a very great tasting western omelet with the best home fries ever. They had a good looking lunch menu which is way I can’t wait to go back. They do not open for dinner except on special nights as since the area does not look like it gets a lot of night time traffic in that area.

A welcome addition to the Sarasota breakfast scene! Feels a bit like a hidden gem at this point, but I am sure that won’t last once people try them out. I was immediately impressed by the clean and open layout… Nothing to hide! We watched the line cook preparing made-​to-​order meals and the orange juice being freshly squeezed! The menu is simple, but the basic meals are elevated with fresh, quality ingredients. I had a special, the Nutella French Toast. The toast was the perfect texture. The portion was perfect too. I opted for the organic maple syrup for a mere $ 1.50. I also added a side of sausage, which was very flavorful. My husband enjoyed the Greek Omelet, which included fresh spinach, tomatoes, and quality feta. The potato pancake was a delicious, crispy addition. The coffee was also quite good in flavor, but perhaps a tad too cool even fresh from the pot.
We will definitely return… They are lightyears ahead of some of their closest competitors who are always busy for some unimaginable reason.
