Quality Inn Sarasota North

I made a Saturday night reservation here for a surprise anniversary weekend trip to Sarasota with my wife, and called to add on Friday night earlier that day. I got a confirmation over the phone by Amine at the front desk that a room was available and they would hold it, and was told he would be there until midnight and to ask for him when I got there. We got there at 10:30 pm only to find out that not only had they cancelled my Friday night, but also the Saturday night I had originally booked. They told me it was because they hadn’t taken my phone number to call and make sure I was coming, and apparently they automatically cancel your reservation after a certain hour during peak season if they can’t reach you – even when it’s their own fault.
Although apologetic, they did nothing to make it right or attempt to find another option. They were able to keep the original Saturday Orbitz reservation, but the hotel was booked full for the Friday night because of spring break (late February), making the original Saturday night reservation basically useless. We had to spend another hour on the Internet and phone in the car trying to find a last minute place to stay. Ultimately we ended up next door at the Sleep Inn, which was cleaner, friendlier, and cheaper anyways. The only good thing is that they were willing to cancel and refund my reservation without a fee, but it’s a 5 day wait for it to post.
My advice is to skip this place and go elsewhere.

This hotel was good for the price. We needed a last minute hotel as well as cheap. It was 5 star until we got woke up at 9:30 in the morning asking if we were checking out. Breakfast was nice and hot, I recommend this place for just a quick overnight stay.

Stood here for the weekend with my family for my sons basketball championship game, Very friendly staff, good location was close to everything but the rooms where not to clean, and I saw a cockroach in my room very old looking décor I think this would be a very nice hotel with a little Renovation and some love and care

Bed Bug infested dump. This area isn’t safe so if you do stay lock your doors and hide valuables. Don’t bother complaining to the manager James Bell. He’s worthless

Had a great stay! Comfortable room and adequate breakfast. Friendly staff! Next to great restaurants too!

Barely passable breakfast that was shut done right at 9 am unlike most hotels tht run later on the weekends and start sooner. Wi fi was so bad (low to no signal) that we had to steal a signal from the nearby Days Inn 2 motels over!!! Complained to management. they «claimed» somebody with a laptop had tested throughout the hotel!!! Wonder when that was?

not the best motel and not inexpensive. We moved the next day to the Sarasota Hyatt for $ 20 more!!! About all that can be said for this old motel is that they allow smoking NEVER AGAIN!!!

Can’t beat the value of this hotel. An adequate room with free WI-​FI and an edible breakfast although the waffles are horrible which is a shame since make your own waffles is such a comforting idea and it would be so easy for Choice Hotels to change the batter to something tasty. Minutes from the Sarasota/​Bradenton airport. Not the greatest area (not especially dangerous or anything) but you definitely will need a car to do anything as there’s not much within walking distance. Not far from Sarasota Jungle Gardens if you’re looking for something interesting and fun to do.
