Suna Salon & Spa

Suna Salon is an established business owned and operated by a Turkish family and will celebrate its 10^th anniversary in May 2016. Suna, Phillip and Zeynep make you feel like you are part of their family. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for manicures, pedicures, eyebrows, waxing or hair.

I’ve been coming here for years with my family. Never had a reason to complain! Great employees, friendly atmosphere, perfect nails, great haircut & coloring, great waxing, etc. I deffinitely recommend this salon to others.

Suna says she has the nicest clientele. Personally, I think it’s a reflection of Suna. She’s very kind and nice. More owners should care as much as Suna does about her business. This was a 1^st time for me at Suna’s. I found her business on Unilocal.
Throughout the process, Suna would check on me (and my husband) to make sure that I (we)didn’t need anything. She brought us cappuccino and snack bars.
I swear I felt like I’ve known her for years. It was so comfortable and enjoyable.
I almost forgot to mention, at the beginning when I was waiting, Suna offered to thread my eyebrows complementary.
As far as my hair goes, what Philipp said he would do and what he did, we’re not completely the same.
I agreed to let him cut 5 inches off my hair because he suggested cutting the back into kind of a triangle, which sounded good. It’s now very short, with a bit of a curve, but no v or triangle. It’s very blunt.
I asked for blonde highlights, no reds. My highlights are only reds. And getting brassy already.
I called their salon 2 times to see if they could fix my highlights, but have not heard back from them.
I called again this morning, spoke with Suna. She was sweet as could be and I’m going in Thursday to get it fixed.
Went in to get it fixed, but phillip made me feel very uncomfortable. So, I didn’t have them fix it. I’m leaving as is for now and will get it fixed somewhere else later. Not pleased at all.

First time going here and it was a great experience! I just moved to the area and was looking to get sugar waxing done, I saw the reviews and figured I would give it a try. Suna was amazing and quick I will be going back many times!!!

I originally stumbled upon Suna salon when they had an offer on groupon. I had never been there and decided to try it out– so glad I did! Suna is very friendly yet still professional and efficient… Which is important to probably everyone when it comes to, say, getting certain things waxed. Her sugar wax technique is quick and I highly recommend her and the salon.

Suna is the best in Sarasota for eyebrows. Seriously. She never rushes, she always takes her time to make sure she makes your eyebrows perfect! She knows not to make them too thin and always creates a beautiful shape for my eyebrows. I am a regular here and I highly recommend Suna.

I had the pleasure to sit in 2 chairs during my visit to Suna Salon. First in Phillip’s by pure chance. Phillip is amazingly gifted with his scissors and his end vision with styling long hair. Incredible talent. Suna’s face threading and eye brow was pretty impressive too. Extremely pleased with my discovery. Will return.

For over a year I’ve been trying to find a dependable, professional, and very talented eyebrow threader and finally I’ve found her. Suna is AMAZING! The location is in a great area, the salon is fresh, clean and it smells great all while they play great music.
Suns was friendly and accommodating! Initially, I was concerned because I told her I wanted my brows to stay as thick as possible and it felt like she was working on them for longer than I’m used to but when she finished up they were perfect. An artist takes time to get things right, right? My brows look amazing!
Although, I’m used to paying $ 10, I’ll gladly pay the $ 20 for the consistency. I can’t wait to go back to try out other services… hopefully sooner than later.

One of the best eyebrow shaper’s I’ve encountered. Suna needed no instruction on how to best frame my face. The processes of lip and brow threading took less than 10 min. Cost $ 30. I’m a visitor, so I don’t know Sarasota prices, but it’s higher than what I have paid in major cities, like Boston, for example. BUT, having said that, I’d return.

This is a great place to visit as it has caring people. The massage theripist is excelnt as well as the hair styliest. The teaam works as a family and the love caringness is expressed in all ther services they provice.

Suna is the only person I would ever let touch my eyebrows. She does them perfect! I swear she took 5 years off my true age the first time she shaped them. Just trust her! I’m glad I did! I drive from Venice (almost an hour) because she is THAT good!!! Very reasonable prices too!

I have been going to Suna’s for almost 10 years. She is the only person I trust with my eye brows and I love that she threads them instead of wax. She has become such a special friend to me over the years and I look forward to my visits there. I send friends all the time and they are never disappointed.

Since finding Suna, I will never go back to traditional waxing. Suna’s secret sugar wax recipe allows for a quick and less painful version of a bikini wax. I highly recommend Suna Salon. If you haven’t been, you are missing out!

Suna is great! Her prices are super reasonable for downtown Sarasota. The sugar waxing is the best. I am such a baby when it comes to getting waxed but sugaring is much less painful than hot wax and she is super quick. I can’t imagine going anywhere else now that I’ve found her.

I am from Sarasota, but do not live here anymore. However, any time I’m in town, I always go here for their sugar waxing because they have a unique, and in my opinion far superior, method that I can’t find anywhere else. The lady who does their waxing is also extremely nice and welcoming. She makes a not-​so-​nice experience exceedingly more bearable.

My family was visiting Siesta Key over Thanksgiving week. We were getting family pictures done and all of the girls wanted to get their hair done before-​hand. I saw that Suna had good reviews and found that they also had a groupon going on (bonus)! The 3 of us purchased our groupons and made appointments with Phillip and Adam for early Monday morning. We had no problem making the appointment and were the only ones there when we showed up. 2 of us got master haircuts and one got a cut with partial highlights. Each of us loved our cuts and styles! Suna also provided great hospitality with drinks and treats as we waited for each other to finish. Thank you all for a great morning at the salon!

Fantastic… I retired from New York to Sarasota 7 years ago. I could not find one stylist that could color and cut my hair to my satisfaction. I just found who I’ve been searching for… Phillip, he is excellent, the color and style outstanding. Phillip was able to transform my hair into a style that is both elegant and youthful. Bravo!
