Food and service always exceptional. Probably the most consistently great food in Sarasota. Very talented chef for sure.

We had a wonderful lunch Saturday at Sophie’s. It’s very intimate and upscale. It’s a wonderful change from all the larger restaurants in the Univeristy Town Center. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Our girls lunch started with a Georgia Peach martini, which was muddled with peaches and strawberries. For a starter we had the macaroni and cheese with braised short ribs — again delicious. And shared a fig, bacon and goat cheese flatbread that was full of flavor. Really great meal. I would definitely recommend eating there if you’re in the area. It’s even worth a trip if you aren’t shopping!

Valentine’s Day lunch was exceptional! We were greeted warmly and sat on the rooftop. We had the market salad, french onion soup, mushroom soup, and more! wine & dessert, coffee! Everything from the bread to the coffee with dessert was delicious. The mushroom soup was so perfectly earthy and the Market salad was incredibly filling and soo flavorful! The chef came outside and asked how our meal was which is nice! We can’t wait to make some time and visit Sophie’s again! YUM!:)

Had a great birthday lunch here! The atmosphere is very cute and the menu is enticing. We had the fig flatbread which was packed full of flavor and very enjoyable. We shared the Louie salad as recommended to us by our server. It was very good, light and flavorful. The coconut bread pudding was perfect and not too overbearing on the coconut. The service was good — although, I am a server in a «casual fine dining» restaurant and I feel that a few extra touches such as we do in my place would’ve been nice(crumbing, silverware change, napkin resets, etc.). Overall, I would definitely recommend Sophie’s, especially for a ladie’s lunch or a nice date night location.

Fabulous cocktails and service. New York Spritz and jalapeño margarita are amazing. Beautiful location outside patio dining. Check for hours. Excellent place to have dinner to see the sunset, enjoy very delicious food. It’s not often to have service and food quality this high.

3 ½ stars The bread basket includes 3 condiments: butter, hummus(lacking flavor) and apple butter The bacon flatbread is good, but I feel the flatbread could have been a little crispier — not so chewy. My friend ordered the lobster roll and said it was good I ordered the Noodle Salad with seared Tuna — The tuna was excellent, but the salad itself was bland Coconut Bread pudding is excellent

I enjoyed lunch for the first time today at Sophie’s and it was a great experience. Our service was great and the food was unremarkable. I recommend the lobster roll and truffle fries! We will be back.

Loved this place! Yes it’s pricey, but it’s a really lovely experience. Our server Justin was so great. We sat on the outside deck and it was really nice. They have a really fancy fan that also sprays out mist so that felt nice when the sun came out. They gave us some bread with a spread of different butter/hummus which was delicious. I had the chicken blt which was pretty good, but the truffle fries were my favorite. I would come back again for sure.

Really cute patio and good food. Pricey but duh it’s inside Saks… Ed our waiter was one of the best servers we’ve ever had and that’s not just the amazing wine talking. He was very kind and attentive but not annoying. I ordered the crab Louie and hubby ordered the Asian shrimp salad. The bread basket is so cool bc you get 3 choices of dips/butters, we ordered the burrata app — outstanding! The key lime desert is light fluffy and perfection! This place reminded us of eating at the Art Institute of Chicago on their terrace over looking Millennium Park but the food is much much better here! We’ll be back! And bring guests and request Ed!

We were there for dinner, having made a 7:15 reservation, not knowing we had to be out by 9 when the store closed. Nevertheless, we had ample time for our meal. Unfortunately, we were the only diners there on that Monday night. The food and service were excellent! We took a look at the outdoor space which seemed like a great place to have a drink or lunch. It was not open for service that evening.

Beautiful, little upscale restaurant in Saks at the new UTC mall in Sarasota serving traditional American fare. The novelty of this restaurant is that there is only one other location in Chicago and this is one of the only mall restaurants unavailable at its distant cousin’s location in Tampa. It’s certainly beautiful and suits the high-end demographic of its department store shoppers well; Plenty of healthy menu items appealing to women. Prices are expectedly in line with Saks, too, as is the service. Everyone from the hostess, waitstaff to water/bus boys was professional and courteous. The lobster roll is a fan favorite, so I was excited to try it and it was as good as they raved it was. The roll was loaded with fresh meat and greens, and the pickled onions were a perfect punch. My crab bisque, however, could use some modification. There was a strong fishy, salty taste to it and the pool of oil on top left an unappetizing first impression. The patio was closed due to weather, but I can imagine it a perfect setting for a cocktail or wine on a nice day. It’s very inviting and spacious. The décor both inside and out is stunning. The restaurant is a little tight inside, almost uncomfortably close to your neighbor at the next table. The hostess did a great job of spacing everyone out as much as possible until the restaurant filled up. Sophie’s is a perfect little get-away to escape the masses in the mall. I would ask for a seat outside if possible.
