Richard’s Foodporium

My family waited outside Sunday morning on 11÷22÷15 for the store to open. The employee opened 5 minutes late which caused a couple of other customers waiting for the store to open to leave.
When we were paying, one of the «bag yourself» items rung up as $ 10.99/lb while the listed price was $ 9.99/lb. When we asked the price to be set correctly, the cashier tried to talk us out of having him change the price multiple times because it would only come out to a small difference since we had less than a whole pound. He belittled my mother loudly over her concern about the price to make sure that the now growing line of customers could hear. And repeatedly asked us if we really wanted him to go to the trouble of checking the price and correcting it.
Our concern wasn’t about us being overcharged 29 cents, but the fact that every other customer buying that same item will be overcharged. Unfortunately, the cashier didn’t make any note of the fact that the item was being rung-​up by the computer at the wrong price, as we had hoped.
This was my first visit to Richard’s after being excited to come after their big Expo at Robart’s Arena on 11÷14÷15. I will give their brand another change, but this is last time myself or the rest of my family will be coming back to this particular location.

This is a good store. However, it would be helpful if they had a larger selection of fresh produce, which unfortunately they are lacking. Sometimes the staff can be a bit distant and honestly they seem to forget items you want them to unpack or order. While the staff can be friendly they can get involved in their own things and sometimes neglect the customers.
If you are interested in organic wine then this might be the place for you to visit. Their selection is quite good.
Unfortunately this place routinely doesn’t have the very specific items we are looking for so we are forced to order them online.

Bulk food so fresh & delicious! Staff very knowledgable! Tony & Jessica were very helpful. Will be back!

I was looking for a place to pick up some snacks for my flight. Saw a «Richards Foodporium» which we don’t have in CA so I stopped in to have look.
Encountered Tony and Chanel, what a great team!
They were willing and eager to research some questions I had about a supplement, and offered for me to try any of the things I was inquiring about. They were both extraordinarily knowledgable about the products they carried and the health benefits of them.
This store has a huge variety of bulk items that are well merchandised, bright and very fresh! I bought several small bags of a variety of goodies, and Chanel was standing by to offer samples and recommendations about the unique foods that were available.
I had an odd request about an item they didn’t carry and Tony the manager went out of his way to extend the courtesy of acquiring the item and shipping it to me at no additional cost! I felt as though either of them would have accommodated any request I had!
I was surprised at how neat and clean the store was, and how much variety was available.
They were out of the sea salted chocolate almonds I was hoping to get, but Tony and Chanel were eager to offer alternatives and encouraged me to taste a few new items I hadn’t tried before!
I went in to spend a few bucks on snacks and ended up spending about $ 18 thanks to some great suggestions by Tony and Chanel!
I’ll definitely be back on my next visit to Florida and look forward to stopping in for some of these unique snacks!
