3 stars for the location and convenience We just stopped in here for the spring rolls. Got an order of two and well, nothing spectacular or crazy great about them but hey, you’re in the mall ordering fast food(Chinese) for $ 3. What do you expect? Employees seemed friendly enough…

I’m going to cut a little slack on Mandarin Express simply cause my kids like it. The store was slow(4 pm ish) and the girls working there were nice, but especially so with my kids. They let them try jury about everything and picked out the noddles for them I tasted the food. It was ok. The kids meals were about $ 5 but they did get a pretty generous amount of food.

This place is disgusting. I ordered orange chicken and some cream cheese puffs. The orange chicken was mostly fat pieces. The employees are rude and rush you to order. My mother in law found a glove finger in her rice. They didn’t even want to give her a refund until she asked twice. Most places would offer that right away or refund your entire order. They only gave her a refund for the rice, but nothing else. I can’t believe this is one of the very few places to eat in this giant mall.

Awful. I like this type of food even at a mall but their Bourban Chicken had no flavor the egg rolls were bad and I had old gross broccoli . I contacted corporate about this and had no reply. They don’t care I guess, so look for a new store to replace them soon.

Their food was a good deal but compared to Perry’s at the old mall, their portion size is much smaller than what we usually get. The rice had to be instant because some of it was white but others were yellow and not much flavor. Their food barely had spice/flavor to it. Flies are everywhere and the lady who was taking out trash, dug through the trash and grabbed a container and then walked over to the other trash to throw it away and then went back to the trash she was dealing with and bagged it up and threw it out.

This Mandarin Express is located in the Mall at University Town Center and they serve Chinese food in a fast food setting. The food was decent but the combo platter for $ 8.59 doesn’t make much sense. You start off by picking either fried rice or noodles. After that, you pick 3 sides and you receive a drink. However, if you say you want half noodles and half rice(same amount of food as picking one or the other), they only let you pick 2 sides. This has to be the dumbest policy ever and they don’t warn you when you start your order. Last but not least, there is only a small seating area and huge lines. The tables weren’t clean and we could barely sit down. You are cramped beside other diners and everyone is constantly running into each other. Patrons had to actually leave the restaurant after they ordered because there were no tables. Very poor planning by the mall and the restaurant. This is the case with many other fast causal restaurants in the mall due to the lack of a food court.
