Hair Cuttery

Phenomenal! I made the stupid mistake of not coming here to see my regular stylist this Thursday (only out of convenience at the time) and went to Yellow Strawberry salon. What should have been a quick trip ended up being four hours and four different processes on my hair. When I left my scalp was burned and sensitive and my natural blond hair that I only get partial highlights on was a clownish yellow. I called my regular stylist here at the Hair Cuttery (Carla Carrasco) and she completely erased the disaster. I thought my hair was totally fried and ruined but Carla gently brought me back to a natural blonde in time for my vacation. I totally learned my lesson (sheer laziness on my part) and will never stray again! If you want amazing color and a beautiful cut Carla is hands down the best!!! Thank you for saving my hair!

So, I was in town for work and found that I had 30 minutes to spare so I called up the hair cuttery and I was set up with Amber. She took very good care of me and gave me the best haircut I’ve had since I changed my haircut style! She knew exactly what I was looking for and really executed it! Not only did she do a great job for me, she had me outta there with time to spare even with a shampoo! Definitely a great experience with Amber, if I still lived in Sarasota she would be my hairstylist for sure!

I was told the wait would be an hour but it was more like 1.5 hours. That really didn’t bother me since I was a walk in and it was busy due to holiday season. I asked for a haircut and Holly was my stylist. My haircut was okay even though it was more of a trim. But the blow dry was very disappointing. I have long, thick, naturally wavy hair & Holly used a paddle brush to blow dry my hair. She was very aggressive and hurt my ears and head a lot with the brush. She also was sloppy and her technique kept tangling my hair. My hair looked more like it was air dried then blow dried. She then blow dried my hair with a round brush (like she should have done) so overall my appt. took a lot longer. I was not happy at all but she did a okay job on the hair cut. So beware!

The stylist were very attentive and sweet. Kaley has been doing my hair for about a year now. Would highly recommend.

Jessica M. took me as a walk in, no appointment. I was pleasantly surprised at this location. Clean, efficient, competitive prices. Jessica listened to what I wanted and delivered, no muss or fuss. All the employees I spoke to were nice.
I was offered additional services, but never pressured.
