Will never go back to this restaurant. Bad acoustics on a table for 4 could hardly hear one another. Very slow service on a Wednesday night when restaurant is half full, hate to see what it’s like on a busy night. But worse of all was the food. The crab cakes were average at best lots of filling not much crab and we couldn’t eat the risotto because it was so salty.

Our new go-to restaurant in Sarasota. Trendy in a retro glam kind of way. Warm and welcoming staff. But the food, oh my! The best wood fired pizza this side of Napoli! Do not miss the calamari and octopus appetizer or the Bronzino if it’s on the menu. Great bar, heavenly little hidden patio out back, fab cocktails, every meal we’ve had there has been superlative. Bravo!

Omg. This debacle ended with cool whip on the flourless chocoate cake! As a vegetarian I asked for the chef ro whip something up — I am allergic to walnuts so nothing was available for me. What did I receive? A bit of linguine drenched in «marinara» sauce, cold, undercooked, spiceless, grilled eggplant-zucchini and tomatoes. Did I mention«cold». I could not eat it – but tried. So, food, nah. Service, excellent. Drinks excellent. No charge for the meal and desert comped — fair but not so comfortable for the rest of the table. Beautiful décor — would like as much effort in the meals.

Eating at Beulah is like eating at a friend’s house. It’s like another home. I love how every table is different. The food is delicious. We started with the calamari, fried every so lightly and also served with fried zucchini and sweet potato; the sauce that came along with it was zesty and paired perfectly. I had the rack of lamb, it was cooked wonderfully. My friend had the veal, it was also great, the pink peppercorns on top really brought it to a whole new level. The duck was also lovely. The fat was completely rendered off, just perfect. Sadly we didn’t have dessert, but I’m sure it would have been delicious. Maybe next time.

Went there last night with a reservation for 7 pm, our table was ready and waiting for us. Our waiter came over quickly, we ordered 2 drinks. They came out in a flash. All good. Then we waited… waited…waited. Finally our waiter appeared told us the specials. We ordered 2 of the specials, wahoo and grouper along with a Caesar salad. For the price, over $ 30. we thought the specials were a little overpriced for the quantity and quality. No not bad, just nothing memorable. Our waiter did not check back after we received our dinners, we had to flag down another employee to order some wine. We each had dessert, I had the Meyer lemon cheesecake, a winner in my book. Larry had the fig cake, he liked it. We had cappuccino, served in very small cups. I asked for a decaf coffee as the cappuccino was long gone while I was still eating my cheesecake, oops not available right now. 8:15 and no decaf? Really??? Bread was of poor quality and the breadsticks were not crispy. Oh but the dipping oil was oh so good… we find good bread in this city almost nonexistent so no surprise here. Two bars, a little unusual, and one with a tv… odd in an upscale restaurant. We’ll be back to try the pizzas, they looked delicious… we’ll skip the fish!

This is a new downtown hotspot. Stylish and smartly decorated sets the favorable dining experience. The well publicized«beet salad» was good, but far from«sensational». My wife’s French Onion soup was also alright. My order of the potato knocchi was excellent as was my wife’s lasagna. Our friend ordered the seafood linguini and found it delicious. Prices are moderate to high. Our server was attentive and pleasantly accommodating. There’s an outside, heated dining room if that’s your choice. All in all it was a delightful evening.

Chic sophisticated atmosphere, great service. Our waiter was kind, knowledgeable, attentive yet not intrusive. The food was lovely. You can enjoy a gourmet pizza and a glass of wine or have a more upscale meal. The owners are very involved and friendly. They make you feel like part of the family.

When we walked into Beulah, we were very pleased with their impressive look. It’s a really interesting little place, with two bars. It’s very eclectic and fun inside. But, we were not greeted by a host or hostess. We went directly to the bar and as the other people in our party arrived, we searched for someone to let know we were there for our table of eight. I do want to mention that we had reservations because as you hear the rest of it, you might wonder. Our reservations were at 6PM. I would say by the time we sat at our table, it was probably closer to 7. Our meal, the food was prepared very well and we were please with the food. However by about 830, they started to slow down our service, wanting us to leave. At around 915 or 930, someone did in fact say that they were closing because it didn’t look like any other customers would be coming in. We weren’t done eating. But from that point on, we were not asked if we would like another glass of wine. We were never offered a dessert menu. Someone from our party finally went to the bar and asked for a few glasses of wine, at which point they said, «will you be leaving soon?» With eight people we would’ve liked to have had a leisurely, relaxed dinner. But the employees at Beulah wanted to go home, so that was not an option for us. Although the food was very good, we would not go back. There are many excellent restaurants in Sarasota, no need to go anywhere that isn’t a fabulous experience.

Been here twice for dinner. I absolutely love the décor. Very Baroque style with purple and silvers. The food does have authentic Italian flavors. The portions are decent. Would like to see some more Italian menu options. The staff along with the owner are just okay-not very friendly. I don’t see much concern with the staff or owner checking up on you to ensure you’re doing good. Waitstaff could do a better job with that and filling up your water.

Amazing! Great atmosphere, great services. We sat on the patio on Saturday. The Ravioli was amazing. Our friend order filet mignon which was perfectly cooked but lacked flavor. I had the Veal scallopini which was very good as well. Our server and other employees were very attentive. Definitely will be back.

Despite a friend’s poor review, we were eager to give Beulah a try for ourselves. We had a very different experience than our friend, I am happy to say! Beulah impresses as soon as you walk through the front door. Beyond beyond is unique — over-the-top décor fills the room for a fun, memorable experience. This extends to the back outdoor dining as well, which is worth checking out. The television doesn’t belong and detracts from the rest of the ambience — I hope they get rid of it. The service was very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable, with good recommendations. He neglected to keep water in my glass and forgot to ask me how I wanted my bison cooked, but he made up for it with his overall attentiveness. They offer a list of unique cocktails, but we opted for wine. There were a few good ones by the glass. We each had a salad — both delicious. Mine was the grilled beet salad. Linse had pizza, which was made a few meters away in the clay oven and very tasty. My bison was among the best I’ve had in a long time. I love local establishments that really put a personal touch on what they do. Our experience wasn’t perfect, but close to it. We’re going back!

The restaurant is beautiful but they have some quirks to work out operation-wise. We had to ask for menus after 15 – 20 minutes. Our server seemed to have very little experience. He didn’t know the specials, nor did the woman helping with our drinks. He asked for our drink order before providing a drink menu. The food needs work. My lasagna was very over done — the softest noodles I have ever tasted. It was inedible. After we paid our bill, without being offered dessert, the server asked us whether we wanted coffee or after dinner drinks… Could be a great place if they figure out how to run a restaurant.

Great new restaurant in Sarasota. This restaurant is in the same location as Divinos used to be. It had been completely redone on the inside — looks great. They also have a back patio area with a bar and lounge seating. In addition to the excellent menu, they offer several specials each night. I had the hanger steak and it was as good a steak as I have ever had. Grill cooked with excellent seasoning. My wife’s Ravioli was one of the specials — a combination of beef and pork that was also delicious. Service was also excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant.
