$ 5 bang trim. I just walked in on a Sunday. There was only 1 lady working. No complaints besides a few minutes wait!

Found this little gem while on a walk. Happy to say I’ll be coming here every other week. I buzz my head so paying $ 20 for a 5 min is a bit too much.

simply the best $ 5 hair cut I’ve ever had. and with a 60% tip, it comes to only $ 8. the sisters that cut hair are super efficient — took about 10 minutes and they didn’t me reading my Kindle while they were snipping away.

Times tough but you need a haircut for that interview/date? What to do? Well, here is a little gem that I have been going to for many years. FIVEBUCKS for a good hair cut!!! Come on, you spent more on that drink last night. Yes, you are skeptical and think they will use a rice bowl to cut your hair. Nope, that is extra(j/k). They use clippers and scissors like any other place and while this place does cater to mostly chinese clientele they do speak some english. For FIVEBUCKS, I am sure you will be able to convey to the hard working ladies that you want a short or medium haircut and no sideburns somehow. Pro: Open SEVEN days a week and up to 6pm so you can run over after work. Con: No parking of course but that is not the ladies’ fault. My sweetie wouldn’t do me wrong and would surely tell me if the haircuts were not up to par and she has not once said that they did me wrong. But then again, maybe she was just being quiet, knowing that all that money I am saving on my haircuts will be going towards her $ 200 hair perms/colorings? Nope, this place is legit and I am still hesitant to open the floodgates since it is always nice to be able to come to this place without waiting too long. Oh well. The ladies work hard and they deserve some kudos. At FIVEBUCKS, you can afford to tip the ladies generously ok?

Crap, I thought I would have the first review of this place. Guess not. I go here every two weeks, without fail. $ 5 haircut? You must be thinking it must really sucks. Fortunate for me, all I do is shave my head. The women who cut my hair are super friendly, even though they don’t speak a word of english(or –they choose not to speak english to me). This place will teach you the value of onomatopoeia. Practice your buzzing sounds and what number you want on the trimmer. I also don’t think I’ve ever seen a non-Asian person there, but that makes me feel like I’m in the know. :-)

I’m gonna tell you about this place, see? ‘Cause I was drivin’ by in the Diplomat one gorgeous Saturday afternoon and I sees this sign on the sidewalk that says Haircuts $ 5. Now when’s the last time you saw or heard of a haircut for $ 5? Now I’m in need of some hair removal off my head so I’m interested-like but you know parking around there ain’t so easy. But what do I find around the corner but a big-ass spot, big enough to contain the Dip. So I perambulate into this little place; after a short wait I’m shown the chair(the barber’s, not the electric) and she says how you want it, medium or short? Short I says, and away she goes, usin’ buzzers and scissors. That’s what they use. So they’re chattin’ away in Cantonese(I used the correct terminology, see? Chinese ain’t no language) and she’s cuttin’ my hair and why the next thing you know it’s done and I look just like a guy who just got a hair cut. So I tip the lady two clams and I’m outta there. They got locals, you know, regulars comin’ in ’cause it’s cheap and they get the job done. I’ll be back, if I can find a place to park. They got them cable cars nearby that go ding.
