This review is for the ‘roasted veggie’ pizza… An intent of mine was to grab *quick* & reasonably edible food prior to heading to my flight’s gate. I kindly asked the woman what particular veggies came on the specified pizza, and she did NOT mention carrots. Who the heck puts shredded carrots on their veggie pizza? This place. I like carrots but NOT on my pizza. Nasty. $ 10+ WASTED… I understand if I hadn’t asked beforehand when placing my order, but I DID ask about the toppings and still, the shredded carrots were a total surprise. SMH. I know… #FirstWorldProblem

Airport food. Our plane was leaving out at midnight and like much everything else in San Fran, all the airport shops close up early. We arrived around 9:30 pm and I knew that I would have to make sure to pick some things up to eat if we hoped to eat dinner before our red eye flight. I didn’t want to wait for grilled foods, so I picked up 2 grab and go sandwiches and some pasta salad. BIGMISTAKE. The Pasta salad had no flavour even though it had some kind of dressing, feta cheese, olives and peppers laced through out it. It was visually appealing, but to the tastebuds it was bland, bland bland. The two sandwiches, A Ceasar Salad sandwich and a Tuna Salad were no better. The Ceasar was. OK, except the bread on the bottom was soggy. Not the part that connected with the meat and dressing, NO, that was fine. It was the part in touch with the plastic. UGH. The same went for the Tuna. It’s bread was nasty gross too. And the tuna’s flavour was mediocre, no tuna flavor at all, it was honestly hard to pick out the flavor of the protein. I would –not– go back here for my food at all. Had the California burger with garlic fries. Fast service, the burger was good, but not great. The garlic fries were super greasy and some of the worst I’ve had. Burger 3 stars, garlic fries 1 star?

Airport food, what can you expect? Avoid it if possible, but many times I don’t plan enough time to swing by a restaurant before going to the airport. 3 stars because it’s nothing I’ll ever crave, but if I’m here and hungry, the hamburger with fries will suffice.

I was hungry before boarding my flight in this terminal. The ready made sandwiches and boxed salads didn’t look too appealing so I went for the tuna melt with coleslaw. It costs about $ 8 and it was right across from the Southwest airline boarding gates. Convenient, not much of a wait and decent food.
