WF Gamefield Fitness Center = Priceless… i mean free, i mean i’ve been brainswashed by mastercard.
Well, if the saying is true that you get what you pay for, then don’t expect too much from the Wells Fargo Gamefield Fitness Center.
But back in the early 1980’s, Wells Fargo launched a National Fitness Program, sponsoring thousands of Gamefields across the United States. More than 20 years later, the fitness center is still a hub for active San Franciscans looking for a workout. And this Gamefield has one thing all the other local gyms don’t offer… a beeee-​you-​ti-​ful panorama spanning the Golden Gate Bridge to Alcatraz.
Although this facility is starting to show its age, it is still completely functional offering pull up bars, situp boards, dip bars, push up handles, and a few other jungle gym-​like items. There’s even an instructional guide for «How to do Jumping Jacks.»
The SF Parks & Recreation department still maintains this area, eliminating those stubborn weeds that like to sprout in every crevice.
