One of our favorite restaurant in the area for brunches and lunches, especially when seated outside on a nice weather day, or inside next to their aquariums. What we liked: — The high end San Francisco restaurant style, modern and artistic. — The service, very courteous, professional and prompt. — Large selection of drinks, perfect with their dollar oyster menu(or 1.05 $ to be exact :) which is available for lunches and brunches. — Descent food selection and food taste. What need improvement: — Even though this restaurant is great for lunches or a brunches, it might be considered overpriced for dinner. Note: — Beware that you are not allow to sit on the bar with children.

Ahhhhh was totally looking for a nice birthday dinner with my girlfriends. We were ready for an over the top delicious meal. One thing I love about this place is the amazing view of the bay bridge. If you decided to go here, dine outside. This place is known for their seafood. My gfs and I were very pleased with our appetizers especially the raw oysters. Up… Until our main entres. Yikes. Most of us ordered the medium to medium rare filet steaks. Besides 1 plate the rest of the orders came out burnt and SALTY… A big disappointment We were all sort of upset. Maybe because we were so hungry. Took the kitchen awhile before our food came out. And when it did, it was a disaster. Our waiter was totally cool with sending the steal back and getting us a new order. However by the time we got our second plate(done the right way) it was closed to 1130. Our reservation was at 9. One of my gfs didn’t even want to eat after the ordeal. Our waiter knew some of us were upset.(hangry). He informed the supervisor. She apologized and offered us something on the menu free of charge. I gave this place 3 star the view oysters and other appetizers were delicious excellent customer service from our waiter and supervisor … We had our new order of the steak(which turned out much better than the first time) For the inconvenience and wait time, the 3 out 5 orders of steal were taken off Hopefully I’ll get a chance to come back and have a better experience with the quality of cooking. I’m pretty sure the chef had a bad night and were heavy on the salt along with leaving the steaks on the grill for too long. Lol.

Came in here for SF Restaurant Week. Since living in the city, the bf hasn’t been to a restaurant with view, so I thought this would be a safe spot to introduce him to Embarcadero dining. We came here on a Saturday lunch time. Luckily we found street side parking a couple of blocks away, so we didn’t have to pay the $ 16 valet parking(which is still pretty reasonable, given all the other parking lots are around $ 10-$ 20 anyway. Good option to consider if you’re going to stay around after lunch). Anyway, we started off with 14 oysters LOL because my eyes were hungry for oysters for monnnnnths. But I’d suggest laying off oysters if you’re going for the SFRW menu, bc we were sooooo full after. The oysters were good but inconsistent. The waiter said it would be medium sized and not too briny, but they varied from small to medium, with that metallic taste in some of them. We both ordered the $ 25 lunch menu — butternut squash soup and roasted cod over a bed of white beans. I’d say. underwhelming because there wasn’t anything else to choose from. The soup was good but heavy(expected), the cod was good but could be made at home. So. what’s left? Service was amiss(again.) When I asked if we get the chocolate bites after the check(I saw them bring it out to at least 4 tables while we were there, so obviously I thought it was for everyone), the server was like«uh… are you ASKING for it???» i said, embarrassed, «oops, i thought everyone gets a couple to cleanse the palate — or it’s a restaurant week treat» and he just said«no. we only bring it out for special occasions» which was bs to me and just felt rude. We also got a glass of sancerre to share($ 16); generous portion for half-glass since we’re sharing, but meh, could’ve been a bottle of good chardonnay and I wouldn’t have known it. Definitely not coming back unless it’s ‘only’ only for oysters.

Obsessed with this restaurant and it’s happy hour. They have $ 1.05 oysters everyday during the weekday. The hh wine(red or white) is under 5 dollars. They have other food items on their menu that are great to share. I would highly suggest people to come early because the hh only occurs at the bar and the outside patio(if open). The view is beautiful especially having a drink after work. The atmosphere feels very young and upbeat. Restaurant and bathroom are clean. Had a wonderful time with friends here and will be coming back for sure.

Great views! Get a seat by the window! We made reservations for brunch at 11:30 which was perfect because they have daily happy hour from 11:30 — 5 so oysters are only $ 1.05. I had the poached eggs which were really good and our server recommended the sticky date toffee cake for dessert and we loved it.

Waterbar is definitely a great place to frequent if Oysters or great views is your thing! LOL. I’ve been to this place many times and so happy to have found a spot like this in San Francisco. When you get there, you have two options for seating: Inside or outside patio. If inside, there’s a host station when you enter. If it’s outside, you’ll have to wait in a line until a table is open. It’s pretty small but if you can wait, the outside offers great views of the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island. For the most part, the service is spot on. Super nice and friendly, very attentive. I’ve never had a bad experience there! If oysters is your thing, there’s a menu dedicated to them, however the best deal is to come between 11:30am-5:30pm daily for $ 1.05 oysters. You can only order 24 at a time so just order the max, once it comes out, order more if still hungry. Always an amazing deal for oysters! On a specific day, I got the Seared Ono special for around $ 20. It was served with potatoes, grapes and a white truffled dipping sauce. Cooked to perfection! Their food is actually really good, pretty pricey but if you’re up for paying that, you won’t be disappointed! When you’re feeling in the mood for some good oysters, come check out Waterbar and enjoy the view!

Ordered the flank steak, cod and oysters along with some sides. Everything tastes great but portions were tiny for the price you’re paying. Service was really good and friendly though and the atmosphere was great too. It was fun just watching the fish in the huge tanks. I’ll definitely come back for their Sunday $ 1 oysters!

While folks were hunting for deals in Union Square on Black Friday, we stumbled on what could be one of the best oyster happy hour deals in the city at Waterbar. Drink specials Monday-Friday 2 – 5:30pm and $ 1.

Restaurant mit unglaublichen Ausblick zur Bay Bridge, gutes Essen, nettes Personal und nicht so teuer wie erwartet. Ideales Restaurant wenn man als Tourist in der Financial District
