VERYUNPLEASANTEXPERIENCEOFTAKINGPASSPORTPHOTOS! I have tried twice here in two different stores to take my passport photos and both staffs are NOTCLEAR about the regulations for passport photos at all. They both persuaded me they know it and understand it very well, even assured me the photos are fine, turns out, they aren’t. I was too stupid trusting them and even tried twice. Mad about this cause I would rather you told me you don’t know how to do this and let me go find someone professional enough to not ruin someone’s life.

I have always been pretty impressed with this particular Walgreens. A number of the staff here have been at this location for years, which is always a strong testament about a place. I appreciate how the staff at this Walgreens — mean it — when they say have a nice day — and how they are always quick to help if I have a question. I like to come in here to stock up on Watermelon Twist Trident gum, ginger and lemon kombucha, and turquoise head-phones(yes — sadly I lose these way too often). Trust.

Rude customer service. Going elsewhere to shop from now on.

Your standard Walgreens fare, with an ample drink and snack selection. It can get busy at certain times of the day, but the cashiers keep things moving pretty quickly.

I am so very disappointed in their policy that I will stop going to this location. I had an unopened two pack of Walgreens brand«C» batteries I bought last week in a bag I was carrying, when I came in wearing a white shirt and tie this morning and asked the Hispanic gentleman who works there if I could please exchange them for an identical pack of batteries, at the exact same price, that are«D» size. He asked if I had my receipt, I said no, he said the company has new owners and absolutely no exchange will be possible without a receipt. I went to another local Walgreens and they took care of me. This location must have an idiot manager who has implemented the strictest return policy imaginable. I will stay away; lots of Walgreens in the neighborhood.

This is a «Walgreens lite» if you will. They have a little bit of everything but sometimes not what you are looking for. My debit card is losing the magnetic strip and the workers here always like to ask me if my bank has enough money… awkward. Right across the street from work so I can’t really complain.

I’m not really a chain person, but this Walgreens is super convenient, and it seems more open, cleaner, and a lot faster to get in and out that other Walgreens in the area. I probably end up in here once every couple of weeks, and they have most simple items I need, and even if there is a lot of people in here checking out, there are lots of checkout stands, and they move people through quickly!

The service in both the store and the Pharmacy Dept. is excellent. Fast and easy transaction. Highly recommended for their attentiveness and professionalism. This Walgreens store might be small, but it’s got a lot of potential! Great service! Great staff!

For a busy place, the staff are incredibly helpful. We had a minor emergency and needed to buy more of what they had on the shelf. They sent someone to pull out more stock from the back and even helped us wheel it out to the check-out. Excellent! I’ve even stopped in for last minute party grub and it’s been easy in/easy out.

I am glad every Walgreens carry my favorite Lindt pistachio choco bar — a plus for me. These are hard to find since Ghirardelli licenses the brand in the US. A New Hampshire distributes Swiss Lindt chocolates for them. But anyway, Walgreens, Starbucks, and Specialty’s holds multiple location within a close vicinity in downtown SF(which is kind of crazy and funny).

This walgreens seriously has the worst pharmacy staff ever. There’s only one man that works there that has consistently treated me like an actual human being. I have been going here for the last couple years only because of the convenience of the location, but if you can avoid it I definitely would.

Travel sized toiletries. That’s one thing I’ll never have enough of and this Walgreen’s has plenty. $ 1 mouthwash and toothpaste? I can’t help but think I’ve hit the traveler jackpot when there is enough deodorant to last someone for the entire trip. If you’re a person that packs light, finish up the trip by stocking up big. I especially love the people working here. They’re not just friendly, but helpful. Sometimes they can just sniff out what I’m looking for, just from how aimlessly I roam the aisles. Lines are rarely a problem, which is good considering how centrally located this store is in proximity to the rest of the Financial District. If only they were open late — they could certainly give 7 – 11 a run for their money with all the munchies they have stocked up. Nearby hotel dwellers, you know exactly what I mean.

One star simply for being convenient to my office(and the fact that I can’t give zero stars). I just left this Walgreens and whoever the manager/customer service person was completely lied to my face. I was trying to buy cough drops and for some reason the price did not read to the sign placed on the cough drops I grabbed(they were sugar free). The sign said 2/$ 3, so I grabbed two. They rang up for regular prize which was $ 2.49 each. I went back to the cough drops section to check the sign and it was indeed 2/$ 3 like I had thought. I went back to the cashier I purchased them from and explained. He called the manager/customer service person and the guy said he would check. He went back to the cough drop aisle and disappeared for a few minutes. Then he came back and said that they were not on sale. I told him that it didn’t matter to me that they were sugar free, so I’d grab the one that were on sale. After I go back to the cough drop aisle, the signs I had read were removed. He flat out lied to me. After seeing this, I called him out on it and asked to return everything I purchased. I’m not willing to spend my money at a place that won’t admit to their mistake or honor it. F*** this Walgreens.

I don’t go there just for the convenience but also because of the best staff in SF! They all deserve much more than what they make! Thanks guys!

This Walgreens has the rudest cashier I’ve ever come across in any retail store. Earlier today I was there to buy contact lenses solution, and as I got to the register I greeted and smiled at the lady, and that’s when I realized the cashier must have a bad day or just has a habit of rolling her eyes. I took a few seconds to get my wallet out, and there goes the rolling eyes again. When I was about to pay, the lady yells(literally yells) «REWARDCARD?» I said I didn’t have it because I usually don’t carry my big wallet around. Then she rudely yells«I SAWITINYOURWALLET. YOUDOHAVEIT. DOYOUNOTUSEIT!?» Jeez lady. Peering into my wallet first is a big no-no, and what did I do to deserve your rolling eyes and yelling. I would go back, as I have many times when my previous job was just around the corner. But, sheesh. Rudest person ever.

This is my go-to Walgreens. Sure it’s small and often busy, but they have most of what you need and do a good job managing the lines. Also easy photo prints and passport photos if you are ever in need. Their IPhone app is clutch, order photos to any store, scan drugs to refill your prescription, these guys live and breathe convenience. My one gripe is when they hide stuff like shampoo behind plexiglass, so not convenient!

This Walgreens stocks Kinder Bueno and many other hard to find imported candies and sweets, so this location already scores big with me. This Walgreens carries all the ordinary stuff that the others do and always seem to have what I need in stock. The check out line moves pretty quickly and they seem to have ample cashiers working during the lunch hour. Catching that cold that’s going around? Got that 2:30pm sweet tooth craving? Forgot it was your coworkers birthday and need a least minute card? Just head over to Walgreens, they’ll have something just for you. What else can I ask for right across the street from my office?

PROS: – Helpful staff happy to help you find what you are looking for. – Small grocery selection — cereal, bananas, etc. – Hanuta(it’s a German hazelnut cookie sandwich thing, sort of like Manner). – Credit Union ATM inside. CONS: – The lines are always long(although they move at a relatively reasonable pace). – Because so much is crammed into a small store, it is always really crowded. – Relatively expensive for a drug store.

Middle of the road, I’m afraid. And for an out of town guy who just wanted some ibuprofen and Sudafed fast, it was just the last bit of annoyance to go to 116 New Montgomery and see that it was the entrance to the building but definitely not the Walgreens. No, no. You have to enter from Mission. Which is fine, but I wanted them drugs in my sick body and the extra time(and steps!) were annoying. More annoyance from the Sudafed situation. Not Walgreen’s fault so I’m not holding it against them. But since when did buying non-prescription Sudafed require you to present ID and ask the folks behind the counter for it? Oh, right. Since people started using it to make meth. They ruin it for everyone. Finally, with sweet relief in my hands I stood in line for the next available cashier. And stood. And stood. Maybe it was just a slow morning? I’m infinitely grateful that I found the place(thanks Tiffany N and Unilocal!) and am feeling much better now. But ugh. There’s nothing worse than apathy and lethargy when you’re sick. Whine over.

This one is close to where I work and just a couple of blocks away. Then again, just like Starbucks, you can find a Walgreens store anywhere within a five block radius in downtown area. Anytime I need something, this is my go-to place since it’s conveniently located and they always carry that something I need. I do have a theory though about Walgreens stores: I think they are run by Filipino Mafias since any Walgreens I go to seem to be managed by them. He He He… just an observation. ^_^
