This is a great mom/pop produce store located near Portsmouth Garage off Clay Street that sells local produce at great prices. Whenever we go to Chinatown, we come here to get our Chinese veggies and everything in between along with the best seasonal fresh fruits. The prices are more than reasonable. You will definitely get a lot more than you pay at any local grocery store. The open layout makes it feel like you are at small farmer’s market. It has a simple layout but it doesn’t get chaotic like some larger stores up near Stockton. Don’t let the small place fool you, they have tons of vegetables and arrays of different fruit ranging from strawberries to jackfruit. For those hard core Chinese peeps, you know who you are, they also sell great salted duck eggs that they make themselves.

I stopped by here a couple of weeks ago because I was making a vegetable soup. I got 12lbs of produce for 13 bucks! I was amazed at what I walked out with and the quality of the produce. It was all really good! For 13 bucks I got: A head of cabbage A bunch of celery A large bag of Mushrooms A 1lb bag of green beans 2 bell peppers 2 onions 3 carrots 2 peaches A bunch of bananas Will most definitely be back next time I am making veggie soup!

Come here for fresh chinese vegetables and fresh fruit. They supply many of the Chinatown restaurant so the quality of the produce is usually very good. Prices are a bit higher than Stockton street, but you get what you pay for.

I consider this place a well kept secret. Produce in excellent shape, for cheapo Chinatown penny prices. Doesn’t get better than that. Well, ok, don’t come here looking for obscure vegetables called for by your hoighty toighty French recipe; only staple produce here. And you better have no qualms about elbowing strangers in the windpipe and walking over old people, because this place barely has walking room. There are SF closets bigger than this, yet they stuffed crates of products and a cashier into it. Bring hard cash, there’s no love here for plastic. And you better know your produce by sight, because no posted sign or grocer there will offer a word of English.

Good prices and generally good quality produce for after lunch fruit buying in Chinatown. I like how they have framed photos of various fruits hanging on the wall. Has all the usual stuff plus some asian produce such as lichees.
