I love Helen always have always will. I started with her in 2000 and I still make time for her when I am in town. I at times fly from Seattle to see her. Her blow outs can’t be matched and styling out of this world! I always walk out feeling my best!!! =)

Helen is the best! I have really curly, frizzy, unruly hair that most hair dressers get scared away by. Helen has done an amazing job on my hair with the Brazilian blowout. My hair is way, smoother and the blowout actually lasts 3 months for me. Her prices are very reasonable as well. She has great attention to detail and is just really talented at doing hair.
I have tried various salons and hairdressers in the past because of I was moving around for school, and it ALWAYS makes me appreciate Helen so much more.

Simply put, Helen is the best!!! I have been coming to her for years and will not be stopping anytime soon. More recently, I have gotten the brazilian blowout done on my hair and let me tell you it is one of my best kept secrets. She is a no-​nonsense, great at what she does kind of a stylist

I can’t say enough good things about the Brazilian Keratin treatment (or Brazilian Blowout) at Untangled Salon. It took me about a year to get up the nerve to actually try it. I was nervous because I have never before dyed my hair or done any sort of permanent or semi-​permanent treatment. Now that I have tried the Brazilian blowout, I LOVE IT! It has changed my life. Before I got a Brazilian blowout, I seriously felt held hostage by humidity and fog (both would cause an instant frizz halo on my naturally wavy hair no matter how long I spent blow drying and flat ironing).
I have also shaved a good half hour off my morning routine. It used to take me upwards of 40 minutes to blow dry and flat iron my hair. Now it takes 10 minutes or less to blow dry and no flat iron needed!
Here is what you can expect:
First few weeks: hair dries completely straight, shiny, frizz free right out of the shower. You don’t even need to blow dry it, though I have found it looks best if you brush it out and blow dry the roots for at least a minute.
Next few weeks: hair still really straight and completely frizz free. This is when your hair starts to regain a little natural body (partly because your roots are growing out and partly because the treatment is not meant to be permanent).
After two months: hair started to have big (still non-​frizzy) waves when I let it air dry. This happened about two months after the first treatment. It took more than two months after the second treatment.
After 4 months: hair 70% back to normal, still significantly less frizzy. I could blow dry it straight in 10 – 15 min and/​or use a large barrel curling iron to create big waves in just a few minutes.
I had consultations at two other salons before I made my ultimate decision. I chose Untangled Salon because Helen was really upfront about the process and took the time to answer my many questions. She is the best! The entire process takes about an hour and she uses the formaldehyde free formula. Also know that you will need to start using a sulfate-​free shampoo, which you can buy at the salon or a drug store.

I just got the Brazilian Blowout and love it! Helen was so patient with me w/​all of my questions. She took the time pre-​scheduled appt to learn about my expectations and answered any questions that I had. Just cause that is the type of person I am research, research, research.
So having learned about the process, etc. I took the plunge yesterday and Helen was amazing. She paid special attention to my curly, textured hair (I think I’m a 3b-​3c) so the results would be to my liking. I am so pleased with how my hair looks and feels. It has never been shinier and frizz-​free before this treatment.
The Brazilian Blowout is a curly/​kinky girl’s answer to her dream. This is an expensive treatment so you want someone who knows what they are doing. And, Helen is the skilled technician to do it. I highly recommend her.

Wow wow wow. I just went to Helen and got the Brazilian Blowout. It has changed my life. I took a shower this morning and did NOTHING to style. I look perfect. The technique is amazing and Helen was wonderful in explaining everything about it. I have already made another appointment for a cut-​and-​color. I cannot believe i am changing hairstylists after 13 years, but Helen is the one!!!

Helen is outstanding. I haven’t been to the renovated salon yet so I don’t know about the atmosphere but Helen has been outstanding with hairstyles for long and short hair in the past.

Love it, love it, love it! I have been coming here for a few years and Helen is absolutely amazing! I trust her 100% to do what is good for my hair. After getting bleach highlights for years from another place I got to a point where my hair looked like a multi colored mop. Helen changed all that and my hair actually looks healthy and good for a change… Also, unlike most places I have gone to before, Helen is on time and expects the same from her clients. I am sticking around this place as long as she is there and will follow her wherever she goes! I have recommended her to a bunch of friends and have only heard great things. She is great with curly hair too which is a rare find!

Have been going here (to Helen) since I was 16. Noone else compares! Beautiful hair cuts & colors– she always knows what will look good and what won’t.
