I love this place. I live in NY, where it is notoriously hard to find great tamales. They were so good here that I ordered additional ones to go. My boyfriend got the Mexican hot chocolate, which he loved, and we split a pupusa, which was excellent. The woman who run it are SO nice and the food is SO good, I will definitely be back as soon as I return to SF.

Located in the Tenderloin, it is a breath of fresh air. Very spacious and the ladies who work here work hard and are so friendly and approachable. After waking up, we were craving for some breakfast burritos. Their breakfast burritos are made fresh and are so tasty. Eggs, salsa, with either bacon or ham. Although it looks small, the burritos are so filling. We don’t even feel like eating lunch. The space is very open and I liked that they didn’t skimp on the nice dining tables. I feel like they can turn this place into something special. Definitely, will be back in the future for a quick coffee/breakfast.

Warm welcome, genuine small business. Excellent breakfast burrito that you can customize to order and perfectly brewed coffee. Glad I found this place!

We were staying in Union Square and the boyfriend found this place on Unilocal and it didn’t disappoint. We had the latte, the quesadilla and breakfast burrito. All three were delicious. The avocado was fresh and the salsa was to die for. Note that their only sign in the front was what looked like a big board written in manually and we had a hard time seeing it from the other side of the street. But nonetheless once we were in the two ladies(owners) were welcoming and extremely nice.

So on my way back from an appt, I felt like a coffee, and I saw this nice little place to stop in. The first thing right off the bat, was the kinder than ever lady at the counter(I’m guessing she owned it). Honestly it was as if it was family talking to you(and seriously, she was so nice and very kind with everything). The coffee was a good solid well rounded ____(I can’t remember if I had an Americano or a pour over… think it was the first), but either way, perhaps the biggest plus was that is was made with clear love for what she does. Then the tamales… oh man that tamales. 10/10, I’m not sure if she makes them or a friend or other associate, but they were DAMNAMAZING! So much so that I’m thinking of getting them for a large thanksgiving get together. Filled with meat, not too dry on the masa that it crumbles but not too«moist» that it soggifies upon a cut… just right and delicious!!! Support this business! Great little place, good coffee and amazingly nice lady behind the counter!

Ordered a sandwich with a crowd of people behind me. Had $ 6 for an $ 8 sandwich so i had to run to the car to grab the difference. When I came back in, I realized the guy who works at front never put in the sandwich order and expected me to stand in back of a 10 – 15 min line to get to the front again. What a waste

Seems to be a very popular weekday breakfast place. Staff were super friendly. We had egg and cheese bagels and they were toasted very well. I wouldn’t mind returning to try out their tamales and pupusas. Bonus they have juice that is freshly squeezed, made to order.

Simple place! Ordered a breakfast burrito. I wouldn’t say it hit the taste bud, but it did a good job! Also ordered a Mexican mocha which was flavorful. Overall it’s a good place! Must try once!

Hands-down the best Mexican hot chocolate EVER! I stumbled upon this little gem on my way to work one day. I had been craving Mexican hot chocolate for years but hadn’t been able to get a good cup of it. Having seen the little placard outside this place, I figured I would stop in and check it out. And they definitely didn’t disappoint! The flavors were absolutely delectable, and it came with dollop of whipped cream. I highly recommend checking out this place if you happen to be wandering around downtown or near the Tenderloin.

A warm welcome, friendly service, fresh orange juice, and a bacon, egg, and green chile stuffed burrito all make this a terrific breakfast option in the Tenderloin. Top it off with a Mexican hot chocolate and for $ 20 you have breakfast for two.

Bright, nice and yummi place in the middle of the tenderloin! We had a sincronizada, a ham cheese croissant and a natural juice for breakfast. Super nice service, art on the walls and full of light. Regresaremos!

Have been looking for a good breakfast burrito and figured I would try this place out. I was not impressed. Had a breakfast burrito and a Mexican Chocolate… The burriot was OK, lacking flavor and it felt like something I could easily make at home for a fraction of the cost. I was just expecting a more authentic experience. The Chocolate was not as rich or spicy as most Mexican Hot Chocolates are… it was a bit watery. Regarless it was really nice to be able to support this mom&pop shop, the ladies where very friendly and just wonderful. Hopefully as they grow they can add a some more autheticity to the food because I think that is what most of us are expecting.

This little café of sorts is very unassuming. It’s in a sketchy part of town; passed a whole slew of homeless and smelly areas. The breakfast burrito is delicious with those green chilies. I had the Mexican Mocha too and it was super chocolatey and tasty. I’d make the walk through the sketch again for this.

Stayed Hilton Union Square, saw this on Unilocal and wanted take out. Went here for breakfast burritos and tamales. The tamales(cheese and pepper) are outstanding. Very friend staff, reasonably priced… crappy block.

This is a great local eatery that has a very casual and family oriented atmosphere. We ordered Mochas and breakfast burritos. The mochas were prepared well(sweeter than typical but good). The breakfast burritos contained cheese, egg, bacon(ham opt.), and green chili(which is hard to find in these parts) and were considered altogether a good portion size and a great meal. The interior is eclectic and has drawings on the wall crafted by young artists which are adorable. The restaurant is located in the tenderloin but at this time of day it was not intimidating.

The Mexican mocha is fabulous!!! It’s so smooth and chocolatey! The lady is super nice and what’s even more awesome is they have tamales for breakfast! The tamale was large, full of tender pork, topped with a green sauce and cheese. Be sure to stop in for a mocha and tamale when you are nearby. Cash only and it’s cheap, under $ 8 for both.

THE sweetest women work/own this little café and their friendliness alone would make me come back even if the food/drinks were mediocre which they were not! When my sister and I entered this unassuming café on a Saturday morning, one lady called out to us and said hi and asked how we were in Spanish which was very sweet. We were only able to hold a conversation for like 2 seconds in Spanish but better something than nothing right? We both ordered Mexican mochas since we read such rave reviews about it and also ordered tamales. This was our pre-workout fuel before heading to Crossfit(which turned out to be not the best idea but totally worth the deliciousness). The Mexican mocha was sweet, creamy, and super chocolatey. I unfortunately only got a chance to eat half of my tamale and drink half of the mocha or else I would have puked during the workout(we didn’t have anywhere to refrigerate it). Anyway, back to the important stuff… tamales! Oh my goodness was it tasty! For $ 3, you get a fairly large tamale filled with tender pork bursting with flavor and all of that smothered in cheese. What’s even better is that it was made fresh so it was served hot! When were leaving, the owner thanked us more than once for coming in which was so sweet of her. How often do you run in to owners who are so happy and genuinely grateful for your business. I HIGHLY recommend stopping in for some coffee and a tamale. Help out a small business who deserves it!
