The Happy Collective

I had a great experience working with Aaron. I relocated to a small apartment in downtown SF and thought rather than take forever to settle in, hiring professionals to help me do that would allow me to focus on other things. They were fantastic, handling everything from design to installation. Their estimates were accurate and they were very easy to work with. They made sure everything was done. No loose ends. Highly recommended.

I loved working with Myke… He put a nice, sophisticated, modern, edgy touch to my bedroom. The best part of working with Happy Collective is that they were very professional, treated me extremely well and were not snobby at all — willing to work with a small budget to make wonderful transformations. They are both very talented and have a wonderful aesthetic.

I have never before loved a place I’ve lived in like I love my apartment now. Working with Myke and Aaron after finding them on Craig’s List, was one of the most joyful artistic experiences I’ve ever had and they turned my apartment from a drap run-​of-​the-​mill space to one that is not only beautiful and functional but feels more like ME than i could have ever designed myself. They were able to hear my dream for my space and with patience, kindness, and skill, help me create my dream home. As if that weren’t enough, they were also affordable, incredibly responsive, and creative, helping me think of things i never could’ve on my own, but more of what i wanted than what i could’ve asked for. And finally, i had personal constraints of wanting to use almost exclusively reused items/​material in my home, or in some cases when that wasn’t possible, organic and locally made, and Aaron and Mike made sure to meet those requirements, and when something didnt’ exist at all, aaron built it to my perfect design. He’s so talented! I would and will work with these guys on any space i design. I’ve referred them to all my friends who come to my home and say «Holy S*(&!t this place is beautiful!»

I just moved into a new apartment and needed help pulling together a cohesive look. I called Aaron and Myke after I saw an article on them in Small Room Decorating magazine. After an initial free consultation where they interviewed me and showed me many images, they put together a design presentation based on my personal tastes. I felt like they really listened to me and somehow translated my likes into a design presentation that really reflected me as a person. I agreed on a budget and timeline and just let them go at it. They transformed my place in a little over 3 weeks and I love it! They are VERY creative and accessorized my place with artwork and sculpture that they made themselves which I love.
I would recommend The Happy Collective to anyone who wants a very creative design team. My flat now has a happy and modern look and I’ve received many compliments on it.
